2026 Ford Explorer

I am obsessed with my Explorer! My 4 kids fit very well with 2 forward facing in the third row and 2 rear facing in the second row. My older kids usually just crawl under the rear facing seats to get in. My husband is 6’4” and I am 5’11” and we both can drive or sit in the passenger seat comfortably with the rear facing seats behind us. I once fit all 4 kids, our double stroller, a pack and play with a mattress, a cooler, and all our baggage for a ; day road trip to Disneyland. While the packing did require some Tetris level organizing, everything fit comfortably and safely. I love that it fits my family well and is easy to zip around in and find parking for. I have not had a single issue with this car and would definitely recommend it!

The ST is fast! Handles really well, comfortable seats. I have captains chairs. Trunk is small, I usually put 3rd row down when I go shopping or have bags etc. Infotainment system is easy to use! Love the car overall!

Fits two kids great in captains chairs. Really small 3rd row for an adult to sit but each 3rd row seat does have tether anchor and latches. (There are only two seats in 3rd row) With third row trunk space is quite limited but doable with older kids.

I love my 2025 Ford Explorer Active! Being a lower trim model, there are not as many techy features (like sunroof, seat position memory buttons, etc.), but we knew that going in, and it doesn't bother us! The remote start features on both the Ford app and the key fob are great, especially with the Texas heat. The screen is very large, and having Apple CarPlay is a game-changer after driving an older car for many years. With our first baby on the way, we opted for captain's seats to allow for easier access to the third row. We're enjoying this so far! The trunk is spacious with the third row up or down. We tend to use it down for more room for grocery bags, etc., just because we rarely need the third row right now. The car drives so smoothly and has great safety features like lane assist and adaptive cruise control. A "base model luxury" that I am loving is that the lights are automatic, so I've never had to adjust my lights! :) Overall, the 2025 Ford Explorer Active is a great base model with many features that still impress me after driving an older vehicle for many years. We love this car, and it will be perfect for our family for many years to come!

Great car for a mom of 2 kids plus 2 medium-large breed dogs (they ride in 3rd row). Decent trunk space with 3rd row up for a couple bags. We did ask the dealership to add a tow hitch to put luggage rack on when we do road trips with the dogs and it works great!

I really have enjoyed driving this car as a family of 4! We upgraded from a Ford Escape to the Explorer and opted for the captains chair set up to allow easier access with carseats to the third row. We often have the third row down to allow for our stroller and other gear to fit more easily, but find a lot of functionality with the third row up as well. We have loved how the explorer is a bigger vehicle without feeling huge at the same time. I've really been enjoying everything this 3 row mid sized SUV has to offer. I really like the tech and safety features included as well! My only disappointment was when I learned that the map integration is a subscription model that I'm not interested in paying for right now so I have to rely on my phone to connect with the car more than I probably would like.
