GV80

My husband and I bought my GV80 right after Covid when there was the crazy car shortage. It was a little before the Genesis brand got popular and right after Tiger Woods had his accident (partly why my husband was interested in it as he’s a big golfer/Tiger fan…don’t come for me)! I have loved this car; it drives so well, has a beautiful interior and exterior design and it’s been extremely reliable. I’ve had two kids since owning this car and it has worked really well up until having our second kid. It is not the most ideal car seat car for multiple car seats, unless you are shorter people, have older kids with boosters or are out of the car seat phase. The deep style of infant and convertible car seats makes it tough to get kids in and out. I would say that the second row legroom is not awful, but not ideal for someone tall. I am 5’9” and my husband is 6’3” and we have two kids, 10 months and almost 4. We recently switched our three year-old (who is forward facing) to sit behind the driver so that my husband could drive the car also. We originally had our infant car seat in that spot but it was way too deep for him to get his seat in the right position to drive. I’m having a hard time giving a negative review on this car because I truly have loved it. It is just becoming less ideal for our bodies, phase of life and maybe not the best fit for families in the early car seat stage. Eventually, I’ll need something different but because this car has been so wonderful, very safe and has such great reliability, it will take a lot of time, research and assessment to make a change.

Luxe! This 3 row suv has EVERY bell and whistle of high price luxury SUV (Mercedes, BMW) with a more palatable price tag! I bought this car after owning a 2020 Kia telluride. My kids are getting older and my 12 year old now can ride in the front seat, so I didn’t feel like I needed a 3rd row necessarily but it is still nice to have when I’m driving the kids and their friends (which happens a couple times per week). I wanted something a little sportier, and luxurious than the telluride and I had my heart set on a cognac brown leather interior. A beautiful interior is really important to me. I test drove a Volvo XC90, and a Land Rover Evoque before driving the Genesis and falling in love. I’m partial to the Hyundai and Kia brand’s offering of the 100k mile warranty. I had to use it on my telluride and was thankful for it. You just get so much bang for your buck with this car. It has truly every luxury feature you could imagine from massaging seat in driver seat, to a built in SCENT DIFFUSER! Granted the scents you have to buy directly from manufacturer are silly expensive (we found some on eBay for less). As a mom one of the special features I love is the automatic window shades you can lift at the click of a button. Sometimes my kids have a hard time getting the shades up on their own and this makes it easy and is really cool. I love the large screen that spans across the dash. Apple car play works wirelessly. Seats are quilted and are some of the most comfortable of any car in my opinion. Another nice “mom-feature” is that I can adjust my front passenger seat from the driver’s seat easily with buttons on the side of the seat (see photo). This way I can make room for my son sitting behind that seat, if he is kicking his legs or needs extra space. I have the 3.5L twin turbo which provides great “get up and go” which I enjoy. The third row space is so/so but it’s there if you need it. Trunk is very spacious when third row is down, which is all automatic

I LOVE THIS CAR. I have the 3.5T. Ive owned it for 4 years and it my favorite car to own. I bought it because it was rated so high for safety, and luckily i havent had to test that out. But i love how heavy the car feels. Im confident it wouldnt flip if in an accident. I love that the back seats can move backward and forward so i can give my kids maximum foot space. The trunk is HUGE. Was able to make a weeklong road trip to colorado with sleds and it all fit. I love the technology in the car. Ambient lighting, and a ding notification that goes off when the car in front of you moves, which is great when sitting at a light and distracted by kids. The car is just so much fun to drive, great pick up heated and ventilated seats. And my year even has automatic back seat window shades, which is just genius when you have kids that cant reach the shade. I could just go on and on about this car. It feels so substantial without being big and i feel like it really hugs the ground and feels safe.
