Features We Love

For 2025, the big update is the new Pacifica FAV Edition, a road-trip package that adds extra cargo space and rugged style without changing the van itself. It includes a Thule rooftop cargo carrier for nearly 16 extra cubic feet, bringing total cargo space to 156+ cubic feet. You also get blacked-out S Appearance touches, upgraded wheels, roof rails, and all-weather mats, with gas (FWD or AWD) or plug-in hybrid options.

  • Plug-in hybrid capability: The Pacifica is the only plug-in hybrid minivan on the market, offering about 32 miles of pure EV range, which can cover many families’ daily driving without using gas.
  • Pinnacle-level interior feels genuinely nice: Quilted leather, contrast stitching, heated and ventilated front seats, and a true “luxury minivan” feel without sacrificing family function.
  • FamCAM that actually helps parents: One of the better interior cameras out there, with a wide angle that lets you clearly see kids in rear-facing and forward-facing car seats, with easy tap-through views.
  • Second-row comfort that works with car seats: Tons of legroom, ceiling vents, built-in sunshades, and available heated second-row seats on higher trims, all without crowding rear-facing installs.
  • Stow ’n Go seating: On gas models, second- and third-row Stow ’n Go makes it incredibly easy to flip from kid hauler to cargo mode without removing heavy seats (not available on hybrid or Pinnacle second row).
  • Rear entertainment designed with car seats in mind: Fold-down Fire TV screens are a big win since fixed screens often interfere with rear-facing car seats or get damaged. HDMI and Bluetooth options add flexibility.
  • Strong second-row car seat setup: Both outboard seats offer lower anchors and tethers, giving families solid flexibility for infant seats, convertibles, and forward-facing installs.
  • Storage everywhere: Multiple cubbies up front and throughout the cabin, plus a deep, tall trunk that easily fits strollers, groceries, and gear even with the third row in use.
  • Third-row comfort (with caveats): The third row has good seat depth, vents, and sunshades, and it folds flat for cargo. Car seat installs back here are more limited, but for kids who fit, it’s a comfortable space
Car Mom Review

The Exterior

From the outside, the Pacifica still looks like a minivan—and that’s okay—but the details are where it feels more elevated. The Pinnacle trim adds upscale touches like subtle chrome accents and a more refined finish, while the FAV Edition leans sportier with blacked-out S Appearance styling, upgraded wheels, and a more rugged, road-trip-ready vibe.

Practical wins matter here too: roof rails (standard on FAV) make it easy to add extra cargo, and the power liftgate button is positioned lower, which is surprisingly helpful if you’re shorter or juggling kids and bags

Practical wins: roof rails for extra cargo and a lower, easy-to-reach power liftgate button.

First Row

Comfort Where It Counts

The car is important, especially the driver’s seat, because who spends more time in their car than a mom? Between school drop-off, practices, and errands, comfort matters. The Pacifica Pinnacle delivers here with quilted leather seats, contrast stitching, and heated and ventilated front seats that feel supportive for long days on the road.

Thoughtful Interior Details

One thing I really appreciate is the armrest height. It sounds small, but when armrests are too low or basically nonexistent, you notice immediately, and this one actually works. The materials feel nice for a minivan, with soft-touch door panels, subtle chrome accents, and the Harman Kardon sound system, which adds to the overall experience without trying to pretend it’s a luxury SUV.

Tech & Layout

The screen itself is nothing to write home about and a little on the smaller side, but it’s responsive enough. The layout is knob-heavy, and I definitely grabbed the wrong knob a few times at first, but once you’ve driven it for a bit, it becomes second nature.

Storage & Everyday Usability

Storage up front is solid, which is exactly what I expect from a minivan. You get wireless charging, USB-C and USB-A ports, cup holders that actually fit a Stanley, and extra storage under the center console. Overall, the first row feels designed for real life, not just a spec sheet.

Second Row

The second row is where minivans really have to earn their keep, and the Pacifica mostly delivers.

  • Excellent legroom with seats on long tracks, so you can slide them forward for third-row access or back for second-row comfort
  • Ceiling vents with great placement for second-row passengers
  • Built-in sunshades for light and heat control
  • Heated second-row seats on the Pinnacle trim, which is a big win for kid and passenger comfort

Rear Entertainment (Optional)

Rear-seat entertainment is available with Amazon Fire TV, and this is one I go back and forth on. I appreciate that the screens fold down, which helps with visibility and car seat installs, and the system itself is easy to use with Wi-Fi, HDMI, and Bluetooth options. I’m still very much team tablet for everyday life, but if you want built-in screens, this is one of the better setups.

Car Seat Setups & Hardware

This is where the Pacifica is good, but not great compared to other minivans. It works for car seats, but you do need to pay attention to the hardware layout.

  • Two lower anchor sets in the second-row captain’s chairs
  • One additional lower anchor set positioned between the captain’s chairs
  • Four total tether anchors, with the third row sharing tethers

You can make this work, but you’ll want to be selective about car seat choice, especially if you’re installing seats in the third row.

Seating Configuration Notes

On the AWD Pinnacle, you can’t get a second-row bench seat, and you also don’t get traditional second-row Stow ’n Go. You do get underfloor storage, which is useful, but the seats don’t fold flat. The plug-in hybrid also skips second-row Stow ’n Go due to battery placement.

Overall, the second row is comfortable and functional, but if car seat flexibility is your top priority, trim choice really matters here.

‍

Third Row

If you plan to regularly use the third row for kids, especially in car seats or boosters, there are some important limitations to understand with the Pacifica.

Headrests Create Real Challenges

The biggest issue in the third row is the headrest design. They’re aggressively angled forward and not removable, which makes it difficult to achieve a proper fit with many car seats and boosters. A lot of boosters won’t sit flush against the seatback, and that can negatively affect belt fit.

Chrysler’s owner’s manual does allow installs with the headrest folded down, but in real-world use, that often creates more problems than it solves. It’s also worth noting that second-row headrests are non-removable and protrude forward as well, which can interfere with certain car seat installs depending on the seat design.

Limited Car Seat Compatibility

This is not a “most seats will work” third row. Car seat compatibility here is very seat-specific.

  • Some Graco and Evenflo convertible or forward-facing seats can work, depending on the model
  • Diono boosters tend to work better because they allow a gap behind the seat
  • Many families may need to replace otherwise functional car seats to make the third row usable

Anchors, Tethers, and Load-Leg Restrictions

The hardware setup adds another layer of limitation.

  • Two sets of lower anchors are available in the third row
  • One tether anchor is shared between two seating positions, which realistically limits you to two car seats back there
  • Load-leg infant seats are not allowed in the Pacifica due to the Stow ’n Go floor design. Chrysler explicitly prohibits their use, even in seating positions where you might otherwise expect compatibility

Bottom Line

The third row can work for car seats, but only with very specific seat choices and careful planning. If you need easy, flexible third-row car seat setups, this is one of the Pacifica’s biggest drawbacks and something families should fully understand before buying.

No items found.
Car seat friendly, but the third row takes planning.

Trunk

The trunk is wide, deep, and tall, which makes everyday hauling easy, whether that’s groceries, strollers, sports gear, or all of the above. Even with the third row up, there’s enough depth that you’re not playing Tetris every time you leave the house.

One thing I really like is how usable the space feels day to day. The floor is low, the opening is wide, and you can stack up vertically without fighting the liftgate angle. When you do need max space, the third row stows down into the floor to create a flat load surface, turning the Pacifica into basically a small cargo van when needed.

Practical details matter here too:

  • Power liftgate button is mounted lower, which is genuinely helpful if you’re shorter or juggling kids and bags
  • Wide, square cargo opening makes loading bulky items easier
  • Flat load floor with third row stowed, great for Costco runs or road trips
  • Deep well behind the third row compared to many competitors

If you’re someone who uses the trunk daily (and let’s be honest, most parents do), this is one of the Pacifica’s strongest areas.

Safety

Standard and available safety features include:

  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking
  • Lane departure warning with lane keep assist
  • Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Adaptive cruise control with full stop (trim-dependent)
  • LED headlights, daytime running lights, fog lamps, and taillights

Higher trims add practical upgrades like a 360-degree surround-view camera and ParkSense park assist, which are genuinely useful in tight parking lots, garages, and school pickup lines.

One important detail to note: seat belt pretensioners are front-row only.

Disclaimer: I put 2021 on year of vehicle because I couldn't choose an '18. We have the 2018 model. All in all, I would say we love our van! However, we have had some major mechanical issues including needing the transmission rebuilt, oil leaks, and a constant O2 sensor code popping up among some others. With that being said, I won't trade it in on something new because I really do love the functionality of the vehicle. Originally purchased with 3 children, two out of carseats and a newborn and it has gone all the way through a birth and two in carseats, to us having one in a high back booster and one not in a car seat and the other two drivers of their own now. Our 4 kid set up was 2 pre-teens in the back and two carseats in the captain chairs.

I never thought I would own a minivan, but as they say... Never Say Never! I absolutely LOVE my Pacifica! First, I love how much I can see out of the front. Since the hood angles down I can see where I am and have better spacial awareness compared to my husband's traverse/pickup. The driver's seat is very comfortable and the heated/cooled seats are great. It's an amazing car for my two kids. They both have Evenflo revolve 360s and they work great. The fam cam is a great feature as well for rear facing. The technology on the rear screens is glitchy and not the best especially with downloaded content. We use a hot spot on long car rides and that seems to work. The vacuum is such a good feature to have as well for easy cleanup of crumbs and other messes. I truly don't think the Pacifica gets the love it deserves!

I loved my van. It was budget friendly which was a huge priority for us. It was so functional - as vans are - and met our needs in a season with babies/toddlers. It was a trim level that had a lot more bells and whistles than I was used to and that made it extremely functional for us (remote start, doors could be opened with fob, heated seats, backup camera, bluetooth). Loved the stow and go and how spacious it could be with the seats down for moving things like furniture or appliances! She wasn't very cute on the outside but again, for our season of life it was phenomenal for us!

Truly the only drawback to owning a minivan was swallowing my younger self's pride on what a cool car is. If I could change one thing, I would choose the Black exterior (I have Silver Mist); all black would have upped the exterior styling feelings I have about the vehicle. LOVE everything about the functionality and driving this vehicle. Stow-N-Go design is truly top-notch and beats out the different flexible seating from other manufacturers 100% of the time for me. I LOVE the FamCam feature, it is SO perfect for viewing everyone in the back. Worth getting a model with the Family Tech Package Group for this feature. The video screens and DVD player that come with this package do discreetly fold into the seat backs, so my kids who are all still rear-facing don't know they exist. It will be a nice feature when they are bigger kids. I LOVE all the safety driving features that Chrysler has built into all models of the van. It has made me a better driver and parker! I live in Minnesota, so the fact that this van has All Wheel Drive was another huge differentiator for me when comparing to others-- being able to have AWD for winter road conditions is top-tier. Also love my heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats, lumbar support seats, and excellent air vent placement throughout the whole vehicle. Car seat installation was super easy for me with a rotating seat, rear-facing toddler seat, and infant seat. I'll trust the recommendations of others on here with bigger kids on booster seats when I get to that age. I undervalued what the sliding doors would do for my daily happiness--my toddler can push the button to open the door, get himself in, door shut with a button, and buckled on his own. I knew I would like the doors for more space in parking lots and my garage, but the level of pride and independence my kid gets from doing it himself has been pretty life-changing. Super happy with my Pacifica and glad I made the leap from SUV to minivan!

This minivan drives like a dream! The Pacifica tends to get a lot of hate but I have 0 complaints about it. The technology is amazing, seating is comfortable, and 3rd row has great comfort. I love that it has climate control and vents in the 2nd row. Trunk space is great and has plenty of room for a stroller, groceries, etc. It also drives very smooth and has EXCELLENT gas mileage. Granted, it is a hybrid but it helps so much to conserve gas and money! Love this van!

Good bang for your buck vehicle. Loved the infotainment, hated the center console, and didn't feel strongly about the styling - there's better, there's worse. Not as comfortable as an odyssey or sienna in my opinion.

If you are on the fence about purchasing a minivan as your family car, DO IT. I was the leader of the "NEVER A VAN" camp, and I could not have been more wrong. The functionality, price and reliability of this car has served our family perfectly for the last 6 years. We've had absolutely zero issues with it, and it works just as well for our family now (backless boosters) as it did with forward/rear-facing or infant seats. We have more room than we know what to do with when packing for road trips. And have been able to accommodate extra adults and kids with ease. I also live in a rural and snowy area with old, narrow roads. With a good set of tires, this van has navigated icy, snowy roads so well. HIGHLY recommend!

This car was quite the tech upgrade for us from our previous 2006 Odyssey however, we have had major electrical issues that cause it to not start or stall. The quick fix is to slam the glove box but we intend to get it looked at and fixed eventually. 😅

My family & I rented a Pacifica back in July of this year and ended up purchasing one just a month later. We are loving it! It’s comfortable, great for kids, and for a minivan, it’s not too bad to look at.

I love this van for our family of five. We always keep one of the second row seats down, so we have a lot of extra room for backpacks, sports equipment, groceries, etc.

I have the Pinnacle trim level which is the only trim level that comes with my specific tan interior, which I love!! It’s so sleek and high end looking. But downfall, it doesn’t have stow and go and that’s the whole point of having a Pacifica. I have 4 kids, one was RF (but rotating so it had a tether strap), 1 FF and one booster. I had my 2 younger kids in the middle row and you could not physically get to the 3rd row (as the adult) and the seats didn’t tilt or move at all with the car seats installed in the second row, so that was a huge bummer to figure out. One my 4 year old figured out how to buckle he went to the 3rd row but it’s still a pain. The tilted headrests make car seat installs complicated. But I LOVED the fam cam, I had 2 kids and never needed a car mirror because of the fam cam. Favorite feature by far. The dvd player is cumbersome to control from the front, even when parked. If you don’t have kids who are old enough to control a remote, it does make watching and utilizing the TVs difficult. The sliding doors, fam cam and stow and go originally sold me. This is my second Pacifica to own. It also has a built in vacuum which is very handy. The latches in the 3rd row are not great. Overall, it’s been great for family, we will go back to a large SUV when the need for sliding doors is less of a priority, but it does have its quirks for making 4 kids in car seats and boosters work. My husband is 6’4 and could not sit in front of our RF rotating car seat.

We rented this car and filled every seat with two in car seats. Car seats installed like a breeze. Trunk had ample space. Third row was a little squished with three of us back there, but we made it work. Was a great car for our trip!

The functionality of the car is great. I really loved that you can put second row seats into the ground! Made getting to the back row so easy. The car was great to drive, super smooth. I didn’t use much of the technology and I don’t know the reliability of it. The trunk space though can fit a double stroller (similar to the mocking bird style) and a smaller sized bike. I’d say you could probably fit one more kids bike in there.

I thought I would never own a mini van but with 3 kids under 3 at one point .. I just had to! And it was a BLESSING! So much room, AWD great in the snow, perfect for sports gear and long drives. Just comfy .. can’t say stylish because well it’s a mini van but the stow and go saved my life more times than I can count ! I’m now looking to upgrade since my children are older and every car I get into feels SMALL😭 So sticking with the mini van until I can find something big enough maybe a wagoneer L or expedition max? If you’re thinking about a mini van just do it, you really won’t regret it!

As minivans go, this one is great. Plug-in hybrid version is good because we rarely drive far so it's mostly running on battery. In the summer we get about 35 miles on battery, in the winter more like 22. It drives more like a car than a large car and has a surprisingly tight turning radius. Interior is fine but I do wish I had gotten a bench seat instead of captains chairs. The hybrid doesn't have stow and go in the second row but it's easy to take one of the seats out, even though it's a bit heavy. It's pretty crappy in the snow but I think that could be remedied with snow tires. The camera to check on the passengers is very nice, and the sound system is good. I don't love the non-removable headrests and that one of the forward facing anchors in the third row is off-center. Got the Pinnacle trim so it has the overhead 360 view and cameras everywhere. Very necessary because I had a Honda Fit before this. Highly recommend that feature. It has tvs in the second row but we've never used them (don't want to open that can of worms). Overall we prioritized the plug-in hybrid aspect over other things and I don't regret it.

The third row is overall pretty comfortable but it is a tight squeeze for 3 kids. You can’t get 3 car seats/ boosters back there. The technology is horrible. We have the tvs and they work about 50% of the time and it seems to be a different issue every time. Sometimes the sound doesn’t work, sometimes the touchscreen menu doesn’t appear and sometimes the dvd won’t play. It’s the most frustrating experience. Love the stow and go feature.

If Chrysler could work out the mechanical issues, this would be the perfect family car!! I had 2 under four in car seats and it was absolutely amazing. Plenty of space. Plenty of possible configurations depending on what we were doing that day. I loved the stow and go seating. So much space for storage. Plenty of cubbies and hiding spaces to keep everything organized. The kids absolutely loved how much room we had. Started having mechanical issues after the third year. Nothing major, thankfully, but the AC started acting wonky, and my transmission started slipping around year 3.5. After 160,000 I traded her in for a new 2026 Nissan Armada. So far we’re loving it. Her name is Dolly ☺️

I have owned 3 different mini vans in the past 10 years and this is by far my favorite. Thanks to Kelly (aka Car Mom) I can wax poetic on most SUVS and mini vans on the market. I did so much research and test drove everything I thought I wanted, but once I drove this car I knew it was perfect. I have 3 kids that are older and only one still in a booster, so the car seats wasn't my main focus this time except that I did need it to be comfortable for helping my daughter in and out of her seat because she has special needs. The comfort, drive, features, and overall performance of this ar is excellent. It is one of the mot affordable options in the mini van market and has all of the comfort features and technology I was looking for. Not to mention sun shades in the 2nd and 3rd row. The trunk space is glorious and spacious and with the stow n go feature I was able to put an entire dining table and chairs in the back. We took our first long trip as a family in many years and averaged about 26mpg the entire time saving major $$$ on gas for us. It is a very smooth, comfortable ride. Having ridden in the 2nd and 3rd row to be sure there really isn't a bad seat in this car. There are us and usbc charging ports for passengers in the 2nd row and multiple charging outlets in the front and one behind the 3rd row. My one and only gripe is a minor one. The piano black on the front vents, tech controls is as Kelly says "fingerprint city." So keeping a microfiber cloth handy is a must. But this is a great family hauler. I've driven it daily for over a year and I love it!

I am obsessed with my mini van & everyone knows it! I did SO much research on every single van there was to offer and the Chrysler Pacifica was the winner for my family! Stow ‘n Go The 2nd and 3rd row seats all fold into the floor which is great for many reasons! 1. My current arrangement is having the 2nd row up and the 3rd row down at all times. As our family grows, we can switch up the seating. It’s so easy to pop the trunk open, store our stroller after an outing, and both boys can crawl in through the trunk (almost like a floor) and go straight to their car seats. 2. We travel out of state often & our 80 lb golden retriever comes with us. We can fold the seat down, lay a blanket, & he sleeps the whole way there without feeling crammed. 3. When the seats are folded in, there aren’t manufacturing tracks that show where the seat once was. It looks so nice and smooth on the ground. You’d never know a seat was stored underneath! 4. My family has had picnics in the car on the floor & easy for diaper changes when traveling. 5. It’s SO easy. I can fold a seat under with a baby on my hip! Sleek interior •I love the look of the dash board. It looks so sleek & is my style. I don’t need anything too flashy but don’t want the interior looking to “button-y”. This feels like the perfect amount of “flash and functional”. •The leather seats don’t feel like the hefty kind of leather that is too “industrial”. It’s so smooth, I love the stitching, and it has held up great for us! Hidden compartments •There are so many places that have extra storage. There are random shelves built into the side of the trunk, hidden compartments in the console & dash, and in-ground storage in front of 2nd row seats. Some people are nervous about the car seats fitting in the third row. Ehh- not a big deal. Could be annoying if you already have a car seat, but luckily.. we needed to buy one anyway so we purchased a compatible one. Even if I had an unlimited budget, this would be my pick!

I have had no problems with my van. Regular maintenance is all it has needed. Decent gas mileage for the amount of room this van has to offer. Great comfort for all passengers and the stow and go turns this van into a covered truck. I’ve hauled many large household items in the back with the seats down. Also, have had many long road trips with plenty of room/comfort for everything/everyone.

Got my Pacifica in 2022 after having my 3rd child! My middle son (age 3 at the time of purchase) has down syndrome and cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair which was a big reason we went with a van and specifically the Pacifica! We loved the deep trunk space , his tiny wheel chair fits right down in the trunk & the ability to stow and go all the seats is amazing! 2nd and 3rd rows have amazing leg room, even for my 6’3 husband! Have had 2 kids in rear facing car seats for the first couple years of owning, now both forward facing and have been able to do many car seats plus booster configuration! Only complaint I’ve had is the second battery made for the start/stop feature has needed to be replaced twice since having it.

As a mom of 3 kiddos who initially did not want a minivan, here are my hot takes on the Chrysler Pacifica. Pros: -Sporty style -Plenty of trunk space -Under cargo storage that is so useful -Stow & go seats are amazing for different car seat configurations -Infotainment center is up to date & user friendly -Decent gas mileage -Rearview AC vents in second & third row Cons: -I’ve had to have a transmission & engine replaced in the 3.5 years I’ve owned it. -The compartments/storage in the front row are not the best. -A lot of electrical issues with the back up camera. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Mechanics can’t find anything wrong with it.

I test drove a lot of minivans but none compared to the Pacifica. I bought this vehicle when I had little ones in car seats and needed to be able to get children in and out of the car quickly and effectively. I fell in love with the built-in vacuum and the fact you can fold the second-row seats down into the floorboard. I most often drove when the seats were stored in the floor and then when we needed an extra seat, I could open it up. The minivan was overall spacious, and the trunk had more than enough space for strollers and bags. When my kids outgrew the minivan I was sad to see it go. But it did not work for large, teen boys.

This has been overall a great family car. I’ve owned two Chrysler Pacifica’s now and this one had a few more mechanical issues than my last one. I do not love the auto start feature and both my Pacifica’s had their starters go out while I was driving them. Other than that, I LOVE the stow and go feature. We have a service dog for my oldest and we are always taking the seat up and down depending on if the dog goes with us. The truck is amazing! Fits my Wonderfold along with a couple carry on suitcases plus some other small bags. Overall I’d say it’s a good purchase and the price we paid matched quality. I look the exterior look as well which was a plus!

We bought this car when we were in desperate need of a vehicle. I did an insane amount of research and negotiating. When we walked in to sign the papers we knew exactly what we were paying. This minivan was the biggest bang for our buck. It has been the most reliable family car we have ever owned. I would 100% recommend a Pacifica.

We have rented this car twice for larger family trips and it really is hard to work with. Yes, it's a mini van so it fits a lot of people. The cons: the technology did not work well and I did not feel it was a comfortable car to drive or to be a passenger in.

The. Space! I’m the mom who never wanted a minivan but we rented one for two separate weeks for family vacations and it really opened my eyes to the possibilities. I personally prefer a wider trunk space rather than the vertical space of the Pacifica, but we easily fit 3 big suitcases, a double stroller, and a large weekender bag in the trunk. Ceiling vents and window shades were super appreciated for my kids and our adult passenger that chose to ride in the third row. My husband was the main driver and he found the seat comfortable and was in heaven with the lumbar support found in the seat (chronic back pain). We had such a great time with the Pacifica that it is on the list of potential future cars to consider when the time comes for a new car!

We bought this van before I discovered the Car Mom. There is so much I didn't know back then, but it has served us well. A few things to note: - Yes, the headrests can be tricky in the pacifica, but it's possible to work with. - I don't feel the stow & go is a deal-breaker. Sure it's convenient to pop the seat down in the car rather than take out, but I don't find myself using the stow & go storage often enough to warrant it. We used it on a road trip to Chicago this summer, but it's an odd shaped space to pack and not super accessible when you have stuff on top of it too. - My favorite feature is the carseat tilt. That is the one feature I think I'd miss most. - With 4 kids, I really wish we had an 8 seater, which is very difficult to find in the Pacifica. We have captains chairs, which is nice for every day use in our family, but with 4 kids + cousins and friends, we find ourselves driving extra kids often and wish we had that middle 2nd row seat. - The backseat was basically a 2-seater when our oldest 2 were in carseats. Now that they're tall enough for boosters, you can fit 3 back there. Something to keep in mind!

Rented for a two week vacation. A great family car! My husband wants to buy one now that we have experienced the stow and go seats. I was able to put three kids in car seats (two older in rear and baby in 2nd row) and have an area to change a diaper or another seat for an adult. Love the stow and go. All our luggage was even able to fit in the trunk!

I have liked my Pacifica way more than I thought I would! When we bought it, we were really in the market for a Honda Odyssey, but getting our hands on one with less than 100,000 miles in our budget was difficult. Even though we had heard some bad reviews on the Pacifica, we took a chance. Driving it is such a comfortable, luxurious experience. We have the Limited trim, which has heated and ventilated leather seats. It drives so smoothly, and the engine packs a punch to it when you need to pull out quickly! The headrests are not great. They tilt forward way too far and I don't like the way they feel. Some say this messes up car seats- we haven't run into that problem. My biggest complaint about it is anything electrical. The screen often freezes or glitches. My husband has an iPhone and I have an Android, so when it switches between Car Play and Android Auto, it often lags or has glitches. There is an issue with ours where the side door button doesn't work to open or close, so you must pull the handle. While this is fine now, my then 3-year-old couldn't open the door herself. On this same side, the passenger door doesn't sense the key to unlock it. It's like that whole side has some kind of electrical issue. We bought it this way unknowingly. Something that surprised me- the sliding doors will not stop for anything! My 5 year old got her finger stuck in the door. It was very traumatic! We also ran into the auxiliary battery dying at about 70,000 miles. We had no idea anything was wrong except the car smelled so bad! Unfortunately this going wrong caused the main battery to die as well, and it was about $1,000 to replace both. Also, Chrysler added one little piece of plastic over the battery, so if you take it to an auto parts store, they are not allowed to replace your battery for you. The exterior looks great, however I would beware that the plate over the front sensor may come off easily as it is just flimsy plastic- ours fell off.

Rented this car when my Pilot was totaled. My kids loved it. So much space inside, and they could stay separated, which is a huge win! The ride was smooth and it felt nice and not like a bus to drive. I could open the sliding doors from the remote which I liked. Somehow, the button to lock the backseat passengers got locked, so we had to use the fob to open sliding doors. Couldn’t figure out how to fix that manually. Lots of things about minivans that are so convenient but personally didn’t love the sliding doors and dealing with needed to press buttons to close doors. I have elementary school age kids who can close doors on their own so it didn’t feel necessary. Overall, like the way it drives, but it didn’t make me want to look in to a minivan to buy, because the outside is not that cute, and I didn’t feel like it was notably better than an suv.

I actually have a Chrysler Voyager, but they are practically the same (essentially the lowest trim). We love to stow the seat behind the driver, then I can load all three of my kids in from one side and immediately close the door behind us for extra parking lot safety! I have my youngest rear facing in a britax poplar in the second row passenger. My second kiddo is behind him in the third row passenger seat forward facing in a chicco cleartex nextfit. Lastly, CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, my oldest is in an Evenflo go time LX booster in the third row driver seat. This is by far the best set up for us! Previously my second kiddo rearfaced in his current spot as well. I love my van. Originally I was shopping for a full size SUV, but ultimately my van was more practical for thus season of life. (Also my oldest had a really hard time buckling his booster in the expy)

I really really really enjoy my Pacifica! It is very comfortable to drive and for my passengers. It has a lot of very useful bells and whistles, such as large screen with CarPlay, fam cam, built in vacuum, heated seats in front and second row, tv screens, and more. My van is AWD and has a decent amount of horsepower (vroom vroom! lol). I was originally looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but would’ve spent FAR more money and gotten less in terms of trim level. That helped me quickly get over the fact that it was a minivan, and once I was in it and driving it around, I was team minivan forever. I also really love the stow-n-go, which allows you to fold the seats into the floor of the vehicle and have a completely flat area to load furniture, bicycles, use on Home Depot runs, etc. It kind of feels a kin to a pick up truck the way you can really load things in that van. The only thing that worries me is the reputation and reliability of Chrysler in general. I have experienced some issues, but nothing totally major and everything was able to be fixed by the dealership. But as I get up in miles, I worry about experiencing more major issues, but thankfully I have not yet.

We ordered the Pacifica with the bench seat (very hard to find on the market) and it has been perfect for our family of 5. The stow and go is awesome to put a seat away or use as extra storage on a road trip (we will typically use one as a cooler with food). Everytime we are packing for a road trip I think that this will be the trip that everything doesn’t fit and we will need to look into a bigger car, and everytime we fit everything with ease. Is it the coolest looking car? Nope! But it is incredibly functional and I have had zero issues with it over the 3 years we’ve had it!

The Pacifica has unfortunately had many battery issues stemming from both the main battery and the auxiliary battery. The auxiliary battery has been replaced multiple times leading to main battery replacement as well. Reliability is low due to frequent battery issues and the car randomly not starting. When you have 3 kids, this makes it extremely difficult. I do love the stow and go seating, rear entertainment and sleek look inside the vehicle but the lack of confidence in long term reliability has me looking to trade after multiple times left stranded due to the vehicles battery issues.

Purchased this van in July 2023 with 43k miles on it. Had everything we needed, and was fully loaded with every option. After owning it for over 50k miles, there have been little complaints. Reliability & Repairs: Steering rack failed: 74k miles: $4,500 replacement Aux battery 2 times: 200$ If you get this van, get the extended warranty to be safe. We lucked out with it for the steering rack. No major issues besides that since we have owned it with reliability concerns. Transmission acts up sometimes but common with Pacifica’s. Durability Exterior: has held up pretty well, with minor rock chips and other normal things Interior: couldn’t ask for much more. The driver seat is showing the most wear but that was to be expected. My only complaint with durability is some small rattles from inside the doors. Some minor issues with CarPlay but that is it for the technology. Space: With 14 yo. Twins, it gives us plenty of space for long trips. This van is honestly perfect for a family of 3 with kids under 10. Parking is easy with the safety features and cameras. Compared to other minivans: Final Thoughts If you want to spend 5-15k more on a used van with better reliability, get a Sienna or Odyssey. If you want good interior and exterior design, with an interior that feels more like a luxury car, get the Pacifica. Very happy so far after 3+ years of ownership.

I love our Pacifica! We got it certified preowned. The stow in go seats are amazing & the technology is great. We have had small issues that were covered under warranty. We do plan on getting a new vehicle when our warranty is done, because we are concerned about having more issues. Unfortunately, Chrysler isn’t great for quality.

Had van for 7 years and loved it while we had it. Ran great but started having problems around 90k miles. Great for little kids but once kids got older, it was tight in back and realized not enough space for them with leg room etc.

I rented this car for two weeks with three kids (RF, FF, HBB). I planned ahead for non-removable headrests, assuming we would get a Pacifica but we were not sure. This included buying a new HBB (peg flex 120). It was acceptable for a rental but I would not want to own one due to the car-seat limitations. For older kids and adults, the trade off of having stow-n-go is that the second-row seats are not comfortable! They feel stiff and small.

We love our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica! I have two kids—a 10-year-old daughter who is very involved in sports and a laid-back 3-year-old. It has plenty of room for all their gear, and we can easily bring friends along with us. The van is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our busy family!

Love this minivan! I have 2 children in car seats and I babydit a 3 year old 4 days a week. It was been great for fitting everyone and road trips! I purchased my Pacifica because of the stow and go seats! My side hustle is babysitting and an event planner/balloon artist. This is great for my business to be able to lay all the seats flat and fit as much as I can. I am loving it so far! Wireless car play is amazing. The technology in the van is mostly good, had some connectivity issues with the kids entertainment in the back, but we don't use it frequently. No regrets some far, Hope it will be a good car to us for many years. Wish I had it when my babies were younger.

This was a rental for our family for a week while our CRV was in the shop. We loved the spacious aspect of the mini van, but it didn’t have any special features compared to other mini vans we’ve been in. It drove well, but it didn’t impress me enough to consider it when we do upgrade to a mini van when we have a third baby.

This car has worked really well for our family over the years! The Stow ’n Go has been a lifesaver and has come in handy so many times. My only complaints are that I wish the 3rd row had a little more room and that it didn’t ride so low to the ground. With 4 kids in boosters and car seats, there really isn’t room for an extra passenger in the back. Other than that, it’s been a great family car for us and has served us well through the years!

We bought this car pre-owned it was 3 years old with 40k miles. This car has taken our family of 5 (my two older kids are now over 18) from Sacramento, CA to Wyoming and we were all comfortable, had great views, and the tech was great for the kids (chargers, games, blue ray dvd). We've also made many day trips and trips to San Diego. I've driven this as my main car for 6 years and I still enjoy it. I held off on getting a van for years, I had a Ford Expedition previously) but once I got this car I just loved it. It is easy to drive and park, for the age of the car has great tech (I can only imagine how a brand new one would be!!). It's been a great vehicle for my family

For booster age kids this is great car. Easy to pick up additional kids for sports practice. Like any minivan I love being able to open all doors from the drivers seat. I have loaded this van down with 4 adults and 2 kids and all beach gear. When seats are up the stow and go is a great storage spot. I always said I wouldn't be a minivan mom, now I couldn't imagine a different car. I love the stow and go!

Mini Van life is not super glamorous, but I cannot imagine a more convienent car for our family right now! We keep one of the second row seat stowed for super easy access to the third row where my 2.5 year old twins sit. The newborn is in the captain chair. The floor does hurt your knees pretty bad while loading kids in, so we got a play mat to fit in the space for some extra padding. The major bonuses: -Low enough profile my toddlers can crawl in on there own -We live in Michigan, we can put coats on it the car before opening the door in the winter -Plenty of room to potty for a toddler potty training -Lots of trunk space my W4 fits easily with an organizer bin next to it -Built in organization in the trunk area -We bought it used with about 100k miles on it, so it was super affordable. Major Down Fall - We are farmers, I am always very nervous pulling into farm fields which is something I do often. I have not gotten stuck yet but I have been very close to the point my husband is never very happy when I have it in the fields.

We bought our Pacifica when we had 1 toddler and 1 on the way. Now we have 3 kids that are 4-8 years old and this car has worked with every car seat configuration. We travel a lot with our 80lb dog in tow. The stow and go 2nd row seats are what dreams are made of. My kids love the technology and sound quality for the TVs. The TVs in the back of the seat are way better than ceiling for driver visibility. The 360 camera helps me park and know that I’m not running over kid toys.

The Pacifica is truly wonderful for young children. The sliding doors, open cabin space and stow and go seats are unbeatable. My van includes the technology package with screens on the headrest of the seats. This is frustrating at times to connect and utilize, hopefully the updated version is better. My only other frustration is the trunk space at times seems small.

Stow and go seating for 2nd and 3rd rows is an incredible feature. There was a glitch in the technology though that it would get stuck on the loading screen and you wouldn’t be able to adjust the volume or any other controls. Turning it off and back on again worked sometimes, but not always. The drive was nice, good power. If they had a 4wD option we would have considered buying one!

The front of the cabin has a smaller console so it feels very spacious. Also, very random thing, but the air conditioning is the best I’ve ever had in any car and my sister has the same car and says the same thing!

As a mom of 2 and a large dog, this fits our family very well, including all of our needs. We do frequent day trips as a family, including the dog, and the Pacifica allows all of us to fit with room, and everything we need for the entire family. The tech seems to be a little complicated in terms when it not ApplePlay or Andriod Auto. The transmission can also be slow to shift, which would be our biggest complaint.

I tell my husband all the time this is my favorite thing he’s ever bought me. We’ve had it 4 years and have put over 100,000 miles on it. (I’m a stay at home mom but constantly on the go) Runs like a champ. Super flexible seating options. The stow and go and vacuum are my two favorite features. The dvd player can be finicky, and I wish there were cup holders on both rear seats instead of two at one. But overall I would 100% buy this car again. It’s unparalleled for being able to haul all my thrift finds with the stow and go seating. The sliding doors are so clutch with kiddos. I only have three kids so the rear tethers aren’t an issue. I also have set it up differently depending on how old my kids are when they were younger I put one captains chair in the floor, and was able to fully climb in the back to help buckle. This was also so nice for diaper changes. Now I have both captains chairs up and one in the rear seat. Whether I’m driving to the zoo, coaching soccer, hauling things for church or traveling this van can handle whatever I throw at it. It’s literally the size of a pickup bed with all the seats down. As a mom I love that it’s flexible enough to meet me wherever I’m at.

The outside look is decent for a mini van and the hybrid option is great. We hardly used any gas, which was excellent. The space inside is very nice. Second row is very comfy. Overall I thought they did the best get could with the interior design of a mini van. Trunk space is great and if multiple car seats are needed it would be easy to maneuver around. We had two plus, 3 adults and a lot luggage and moved a person so lots of boxes. And many configurations to fit what you needed. My biggest issue was the drive. I didn’t like the way it was so low and felt everything on the road. There was zero pickup getting on the highway. Even with 4 kids I don’t think I would get a mini van. The hybrid was great though and I would look for that in my next car.

We rented this car twice for a total of 2 weeks to haul around kids when cousins were in town. Both times we were able to install three carseats without issue. Clek Liing in a captain seat one time and the Cosco Scenera extend another time, a booster in the other and a front facing in the back. The Cosco Scenera was a tight fit (our travel car seat) and we definitely made use of the tracks to move the captains chair back farther to be able to install it. We had two adults in the back with the car seat and they commented on the comfort. Additionally we were able to carry 4 duffle bags, a full sized stroller, 2 large beach bags, and a pack and play in the trunk with no visibility compromises. It was a great summer time rental for family trips. The lack of AWD would give me pause around where we live in the winter, but it worked great for us this summer!

This van runs wonderfully and has a beautiful interior. My only qualm is that the third row is tight and only has one back of the seat tether which is in between two seats. We didn’t notice this problem until our third child was coming. Why don’t all minivans have latches and tethers in all seats?!

The stow and go is awesome..we have 3 kids my older boys sit in the back row and we have one captain chair stowed. My daughter has a carseat in the other captain chair. We have 2 golden retrievers that fit in the open area when they come along with us. The built in vacuum is a plus! DVD player is a game changer with road trips!

I think this is a great car for a family that needs something practical and functional. I can’t tell you how many times I had one of the bucket seats fold down so I could nurse my infant while my 2 year old played comfortably on the ground with his toys. This was such a nice perk especially when we would arrive early to an appointment/place.

Listen this van gets a lot of hate from other mini van moms & I get it BUT this is what worked with our budget after tranny issues on my previous vehicle so we’re making it work! Pros: -stow & go, duh -great gas mileage -rear entertainment is fantastic (I have the limited package) -ceiling vents -moon roof + sun roof -cup holders galore -reliable -comfy for driver & passenger -car seat tilt -large aisle between captains seats Cons: -ugly looking -lacking storage in the driver/passenger area -does not make me feel like a cool mom -car seat configuration for my kids is pretty much just one way with their ages & seats needed. I wish it had a bench.

Obsessed with my mini van!!! The built in vacuum is clutch. The screen does freeze pretty often but it always works itself out after a few minutes. The 2nd and 3rd rows are huge!

This rental convinced me that a minivan with young toddlers would be the best car for us. Watching my three year old be able to open and close the sliding door and then climb by himself into their car seat was what sold me. I set up both rear facing car seats in the second row. The car seat friendly tilt made it easy for adults to get in and out of the third row. There was even a button near the back of the driver's seat that moved it forward so the seat behind it could tilt even further. I really appreciated that both second and third rows have ceiling vents. I did not like the set up for the driver and passenger. This is before the bridge element was added and the lack of storage was appalling. What's the point in driving such a large vehicle if there isn't any storage for the driver. This car opened my eyes and I now happily drive a minivan!

We took this car on a road trip to Florida. It was so uncomfortable to sleep in, the seats were terrible. Otherwise the car does have good space.

We were given this as a rental when our Toyota Sienna was in the shop. Long story short, the head rests are not removable making car seat installation extremely difficult and impossible for some car seats. Once we figured out they weren't removable we were able to move our configuration around and make it work - meaning my rear facing kiddo was in the third row and I had to buckle him in through the trunk - but we made it work. It was really frustrating to realize that not even all car seats will work on all types of vans.. they should all be made with families in mind!

I love this van! We currently have one of the captains chairs stowed away, and it allows such easy access to the second and third rows! We have a rear facing Diono Radian car seat in the second row captain seat, a Diono Radian forward facing in the 3rd row on one side, and a Graco booster seat on the other side in the 3rd row. I absolutely love minivan sliding doors; however they are extremely difficult to clean on the interior. We live on a gravel road, and there is no way to get away from all the dust and dirt that accumulates in the sliding door areas. Any time I try to clean them, it’s like making mud. That’s going to be with any sliding door though. We also purchased all weather floor mats off Amazon, and they have been wonderful! The carpets have stayed in great condition. Would definitely recommend this car for a family!

Intro: We bought our Pacifica from my BIL & SIL a little over a year ago. We also sold my Equinox to a family member for the same price, so it was a win win for us! No car payment and more room for kids and equipment. Our first child just turned 5 years old and has a very rare neurological disorder, requiring full care. We drive around with a single stroller (for our 2 yo), a wheelchair, & a Zoe double stroller every day to accommodate any situation! Sliding back doors is also a huge plus for us! Exterior: Pacifica is the best looking van in my opinion! I gave it 4 stars because the paint on the hood & back doors is chipping & I hate how that looks. Performance: I honestly think it drives very nicely. My husband needs more horsepower. He’s the passenger princess now which is so unfair! 😝 Technology: No complaints! I never have any issues & I love the mix of physical buttons to touch screen options. The gear shift knob took me a while to get used to. My only complaint is I’ve never figured out how to turn down the ringer when you’re phone is connected, so I just permanently disconnected mine & plug in with a cord if I want to play music. I couldn’t have phone calls waking babies! Interior: I think the tan interior & brown dash/doors is very classy. I did buy a seat cover because I cannot stand my sweaty legs on a leather seat in the summer! I love the stow & go in the second row. We never use it but it makes for great storage (extra clothes, shoes, blankets, baby carries, anything!) My third row is always down to fit the wheelchair so I can’t give any feedback there. For two kids and a lot of crap, it’s a machine! Second row comfort: I’ve only had to ride in between the two kids one time but it was okay. I could fit in a pinch and wasn’t miserable as someone who does get car sick. They’re both in Evenflo Revolve 360’s and if they are rear facing, we do have to slide the front seats up a bit. Another husband complaint when he is the passenger. Overall, I love!

We bought the Chrysler Pacifica because we were adding a 3rd child at the time and needed a bigger car. We loved the stow and go feature on the Pacifica. Also we liked that the model we own has tv screens for the kids for long car rides. We have had some issues with the overall mechanics of the Pacifica since we got it (got it pre owned with 90,000 miles). Also as far as car seats go, it’s hard to fit certain car seats because of the tilted forward headrests. Overall though it’s been a good family car. We now have 4 kids and it fits everyone comfortably.

Our family loves this van! We had to pay attention to the type of car seats we purchased for the third row, but otherwise we have found it very flexible as we've welcomed another baby. The trunk space is fantastic, and the ceiling vents are a MUST for Florida living. Warranty covered repair of a front wheel well rattle noise caused by a loose plastic connector after we had it for a year. But otherwise, it's running great!

Honestly, the only reason I would buy this car again (and I absolutely would) is for the ‘stow n go’ option. It makes my life 1 million times easier with 3 small kids. I LOVE being able to get rid of one seat and use that floor space for diaper changes, potty training, random play, etc.
