Car Mom Review

The Exterior

The Kia Telluride's exterior immediately grabbed my attention with its bold, upscale design that still feels rugged enough for weekend adventures with the kids. The strong lines and distinctive grille give it a confident look, while the thoughtful details—like the sleek LED lighting and available two-tone roof—make it feel stylish without trying too hard. It’s the kind of SUV that makes school runs, errands, and road trips all look effortlessly put-together.

First Row

In this EX trim level of the Telluride, there are some wood and trim accents on the door that look simple, but really nice. The steering wheel is beautifully designed and has tons of features right there like automated cruise control and bluetooth. The touch screen display is super easy to use and loaded with some of my favorite family-friendly features like passenger talk that projects your voice to the second and third row, quiet mode, which turns the radio off in the second and third row (great when the kids fall asleep), and sounds of nature, which is a built in sound machine that is also great for naps. The volume and climate control are pulled out of the touch screen display, which I like for ease of use.

Moving down from the display, there is a cubby space with a wireless charger, USB, USBC and 12 volt plugs, 2 cupholders (they don’t quite fit my giant cup), heated and ventilated seats, a great sized center console, a sun roof, and 2 more cup holders on the back of the center console within driver’s reach.

The Telluride also comes standard with all the safety features and crash prevention technology that you want to keep your family safe like blindspot detection, brake assist, and automatic emergency braking.

Second Row

Jumping into the second row I am excited to tell you the Telluride comes with built in sunshades. These are a game changer. I don't know if I would buy a new car without them. I’ve bought a lot of aftermarket sun shades but nothing beats a built-in sunshade. The door cubby is pretty good sized and can fit a water bottle. As for knee and head clearance, I have plenty and the front seat is set for a tall driver. This car has one of my favorite features: USB outlets on the back of the front seats so anyone in the back seat has super easy access to those. There are also hooks on the back of the seat to hang a purse or bag. Back here we also have our own climate control and ceiling vents, which is so ideal for car seats.

There are lower anchors and tether anchors in both captains chairs so you can safely put two rear or forward facing car seats in the second row. In the third row there is one set of lower anchors on the driver’s side so you could put two rear-facing car seats back there either using the seat belts or one using the lower anchors. There are also 2 tether anchors in the third row, but, and this is a big but, the 2 tether anchors are next to each other and like I said before, the middle seat is super narrow so really there is only room for one forward facing car seat in the third row. This means you can fit at most 3 forward facing car seats in this car. Another thing to note, is this car does not have the car seat tilt so if you have the bench seat with rear facing car seats on either outboard seat there is no way to get to the third row. I have a Family Planning Map worksheet that helps walk you through all the car seat configurations of any car so you can better plan how a car will work for you and your growing family. I recommend it before any family buys a new car.

Third Row

To get to the third row of this Kia Telluride you have a few options. Either you can shimmy in between the captain chairs if there aren’t rear facing car seats in the way or you can press one of two buttons on the second row seats—either at the top of the seat or on the bottom, which is great so older kids can get in and out of the car by themselves at grade school drop off. The Telluride has one of the roomiest third rows and I could sit all the way back here for a long road trip and be comfortable. But 3 people cannot fit back here. The middle seat is basically nonexistent. It is 5.5” wide, which doesn’t fit anything. Can’t fit a human, can’t fit a car seat, can’t fit a booster seat. But, this is not to harp on Kia. I still think this is a great family car but want you to know this is a 6 passenger car—just ignore the middle seat in the third row.

No items found.

Trunk

Mid size SUVs always disappoint when it comes to the trunk space, but the Kia Telluride does not. There is extra space in the floor that can be separated to throw in gear that you always want handy like blankets, diapers or wipes, or you can open it up to fit something larger. The Uppababy Vista stroller fits well even without the extra floor space. If you’re looking for more trunk space you’re going to either need a minivan or a larger SUV like the Expedition, Suburban or Wagoneer, which is going to give you about twice as much room.

Safety

The 2022 Kia Telluride is an IIHS Top Safety Pick. It comes with an extensive standard safety with Kia's Drive Wise suite, including Forward Collision-Avoidance, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, plus optional features like Surround View Monitor and Blind Spot View Monitor on higher trims.

This car has been great as my family grew! When we bought the car we had one child and now have three. I recommend the captains chairs because it makes the car feel more spacious. The only negative thing I’ve experienced is with the tech (Apple CarPlay specifically). The tech seems a little dated and the Apple CarPlay is extremely temperamental. Sometimes it will work just fine, other times it won’t work at all, and often times it works fine for 30 minutes or so, then randomly shuts off. I’m not sure if that’s an issue with my car specifically, or a common issue with Kia Tellurides. Overall I highly recommend this car!

Love the styling and comfort of my car. The 360 degree cameras are one of my favorite features. I’m getting about 21mpg. I wish it had more cupholders!!

Lots of great trunk space with the 3rd row down. Do feel the seats in the second row can be a little challenging to put down (don’t do it often because of car seats). Drives well!

The 2023 KIA Telluride is a great option for a family with two kids. With captain chairs, I wouldn’t recommend it for a larger family with multiples in car seats. Excellent driver leg room with a rear facing car seat installed (tall drivers 6ft + included). Love the ceiling vents. Would prefer a little more A/C power with initial car start (can take a bit to kick on in the Florida heat). Decent trunk space with all rows up. Drive is nice. I prefer the palisade interior

This car is the SX Prestige X-Line. This car has a lot of tech and amenities for the price point, that is what sold me. I loved the exterior/interior color combo and I received so many compliments on it. It had plenty of space in the second row for car seats. We have two nuna revv car seats, both were rear facing for a period of time. This car would not work for my family and lifestyle if we had a third kid in a car seat.

I absolutely love my Kia Telluride. It has been the perfect car with our 2-year-old son, and I am eager to see how it will handle with 2 kids when our daughter joins us later this year. It has been great as far as space and comfort go. I have noticed that my CarPlay can sometimes be laggy, but that is really my only complaint for the whole vehicle.

I’ve been very happy with my Telluride as a new mom of three. I do daycare drop off and pick up for my two older kids, with both my newborn and dog in tow. The dog can easily jump into the second row and goes back to the third row seat. My 4 year old sits in the back row (in the Graco Nautilus 2.0 LX 3-in-1) while the younger two sit in the bucket seats. 2.5 year old is still rear facing in a Maxi Cosi and the newborn is in the Nuna Pipa. While I worried about third row access, I was thrilled to figure out that the car seat tilt DOES work with the Nuna Pipa base installed. The 4 year old gets in, I can help buckle, and then I load the baby in the seat in front of him. I debated a rotating car seat for one of the second row car seats to ensure third row access, but haven’t had to do that yet. In terms of the car itself, it’s comfortable and roomy, with good tech, A/C, etc. My only negatives are small picky things - mostly that the car locks as you approach it but doesn’t unlock as you walk away. I also haven’t figured out how to turn off the trunk automatic close feature, which I never want. It beeps so you know it’s about to come down, but I often forget to hit the button to make it stop until the last possible moment.

I have absolutely loved this car. It’s been very reliable and anything that has gone “wrong” has been covered under the warranty. It’s very comfortable and stylish and has been great for our family of 5. We are adding another baby soon and looking into upgrading to the 2027 Kia telluride we have enjoyed this car so much. I have never experienced any issues with it driving. I use almost every feature it has and we have taken it on several trips. My kids have really enjoyed it and it has plenty of cup holders for everybody!

Disclaimer is that this is my first SUV and first brand new car I’ve ever owned so I might have an overly positive opinion but we have absolutely LOVED our Telluride. We were excited that the hybrid model was released the year we were looking for a SUV as that was high on our list of priorities. We went with the captains chairs mostly because we wanted some of the tech features of the higher trim but we also plan to have only two kids so didn’t feel 3 across was a must. The second row is extremely comfortable and I’ve spend a lot of time sitting with my toddler on long road trips. The third row access is super smooth and I am quite comfortable as an average height woman though I could see it feeling tight for a taller man. One plus is that the captains chair slide forward to make more leg room for the third row and the actual third row seat is comfortable. Tech wise we’ve been very happy. The infotainment system is easy to navigate and I love the screen size and position compared to other SUVs. I also love that there are knobs/buttons for changing the image control, my mom’s Tesla drives me crazy that I have to navigate on the touch screen to turn down the fan!! Driving wise we’ve also been so happy. The hybrid drive drain is phenomenal. Been averaging 30-31 MPG. We live in the city and so are really able to maximize this. The semi-autonomous driving on the highway is great but doesn’t work as well as higher tech lines like Tesla off the highway. I do agree with the assessment of others that the interior feels a little less luxury than others for the price but I still love the look of exterior and interior and love that they kept physical buttons for things like cabin lights, sunroof etc which I think is the main thing that feels less lux but I choose function over form! Overall we are so happy with our Telluride and hope to be a Kia family for a very long time!

This is our third Telluride, and we absolutely LOVE it! We love how smoothly it rides, how comfortable it is, and how easy it makes traveling with kids and car seats. One of my favorite things is all of the safety features, especially the lane assist and the alert when changing lanes. It gives me so much peace of mind when I’m driving with my kids. We keep coming back to the Telluride for a reason!

Love this car - easy to see out of, surround view camera, built in sunshades, the works! The multiple cupholders accessible to the driver is a favorite feature too! I have 2 wishes if the world was just perfect. 1-the recirculate air button would stay selected - I have to push it every time. 2-the oil life is not able to be monitored digitally in the car….its a weird telluride quirk! So you just have to wait for your oil light to come on. It doesn’t have wireless Apple Car Play, but that’s any easy fix with an adapter!

Love this car so much. Actually prefer the older body style compared to the 2027s. The copious amount of cup holders, sun shades and vents are top notch features. This is my 3rd Telluride and I've loved each and every one (I keep upgrading years and trims). This car is perfection for families with 2 kids because then you can fold down the 3rd row and have a gigantic trunk space. If you need the extra seats, you can either put up one portion of the 60/40 3rd row and still have plenty of space.

Overall I do love our Telluride for how it works with my two kids (5.5 and 3.5). If we had a third kid I would NOT love having to access the third row on a regular basis. My husband and I are both over 6’ tall so usually have our front seats way back, we’ve always have plenty of room when we had a RF car seat and just put it behind front passenger. The trunk storage when we have the third row down is amazing but I always worry about projectiles with it down all the way. Technology and everything else does its job for us, no complaints. We are now in our carpooling stage and having a second high back booster in the third row fits fine because they are able to unbuckle themselves. I recently moved some seats around and had a Cybex high back booster installed in a bucket seat with Latch and it was nearly impossible to buckle into the low down almost embedded seat belt buckle. As with a lot of cars I’ve found (outside of most vans) I wish it had four tether anchors but we just use a low booster for my older niece or my older son when I have my two plus my two nieces (a weekly basis).

I love the interior & exterior styling of my Telluride. Suede headliner, mood lighting, rear air vents, window shades, panoramic sunroof, cup holders galore! I have 2 kids, both in car seats in the second row captains chairs, 1 RF & 1 FF. The doors open nice and wide for ease of loading them in seats. Third row is definitely tight though. My mom sat back there and said my brother’s Palisade has quite a bit more 3rd row legroom. I mostly keep the 3rd row down so have tons of cargo space in the back for a double stroller and a trunk organizer. My son likes to walk through the middle between captains chairs and help me load our Costco runs 💜

S model Cons- no sun shades, no auto lift gate, no wireless Apple Car Play, replaced AC bc it’s not shielded properly to prevent rocks from breaking it (city driver), small tech glitches with screen (black until you restart car). Pros- remote start app (paid annually) and key fob, air vents great for car seats, second row seat is probably more comfortable than front seat, trunk space great, screen was new and large.

The 2027 Kia Telluride has comfortable seats. I have the Hybrid SX-Prestige AWD. I get great fuel economy, smooth ride, and easy transitions from electric/hybrid/ICE engine. The car is easy to get into. For reference, I am 5’10, and it’s a simple slide into the vehicle. The driver’s seat does pull back upon entry for easier access. Something to think about with car seats in the back. Overall, love the vehicle. Minor qualm is that the door handles are difficult for teachers to open during car rider drop off. I have to remember to hit the unlock button so the handles move out. I wish the car automatically locked as you walk away, but it doesn’t, so don’t forget to lock it as you leave. Also, I get a lot of notifications on my phone if I leave the car unlocked in my garage which is annoying. The proximity of my phone/digital key when I walk near the garage inside my house constantly unlocks the vehicle, too. Just minor annoyances, but the vehicle is great and I love driving it!

Love my Telluride! I have 2 boys and it allows plenty of space for our family of 4. Putting the third row down gives us tons of space for a road trip. It also allows us the opportunity to carpool which has been super helpful. I love that it has so many upgrades and "luxuries" without the huge price tag. So many people have said they don't feel like they are riding in a Kia. My only complaint is having to pay a yearly subscription for the maps and app. I think that should be included for the life of your car.

I recently sold this vehicle. LOVED the technology and safety features. SX Prestige model, and it had more options than I could have imagined. Spacious 2nd row. Kept 3rd row down most of the time. Sports kids; so when I did have the 3rd row up; it didn't leave the best space in the back for lawn chairs, sports equipment. Perfect size for only 2 kids, especially since 1 is 13 and the other is only in a booster seat. I had issues with the lock on both driver and passenger side handles. The dealership ordered new handles and replaced them; part of the warranty. Since the new body style came out, and I drive 24K miles a year; I wanted to sell it prior to hitting 100K.

I love this car! I am a mom of grown kids and have one grandson, so a carseat in the second row. There are captain seats in the second row so they access to the third row is easy for our needs. We really leave the third row down most of the time. We love the ceiling vents and the ability for passesngers in the back to adjust the air on their own. The window shades built in on the 2nd row are now a non negotiable moving forward. They may be the simplest but best feature for me. The tech and infotainment system is wonderful. There are tons of cup holders. The cup holders in the door will only hold a bottle of water or soda but nothing larger, which is fine for us but may not be for others. I am in love with the terracotta interior and picked this trim level just for the color. The gas milage was an adjustment coming from having a Sorento and a Honda Accord before that.

Would recommend the Kia Telluride to anyone who is looking for a midsize car. It really is the more affordable Range Rover. Tbh it’s better than a Range Rover. Had 2 Range Rovers, and the tech inside the Kia especially the top tier fully loaded beats the Rover. We had fully loaded sport and full size and it still didn’t have the tech that our Kia has. It is very easy to get a car seat in and out of as the doors open really wide Which is such a big help! The trunk space is okay with the third row up but we only have one kid so for us our third row doesn’t get used often so we just keep it down which give us such a big trunk.

The 2027 KIA Telluride is overall a great mom car! The technology (especially Apple CarPlay) can be slow and not work at times. The transmission can also jolt randomly after stops which I have heard is a common issue. Other than these things, everything else is wonderful about this vehicle.

All of the things missing in this car they added in the new Telluride. Not the easiest car with 3 little boys and all of their equipment but overall has been great. Minimal maintenance, full of technology, and can take us anywhere we need or want to go.

As a mom of 3 older kids (11,9,7) this car has been perfect for us. The real star of the show is its value. When we were shopping for 3rd row mid-size SUV’s the Telluride came in 10k cheaper than most and it provided the same conveniences and luxuries as its more expensive counterparts. I know Kia’s get a bad rap, but I honestly had zero problems with this vehicle. A few recalls which were taken care of promptly by my local Kia Store. I am two months away from it being paid off and I plan to keep it as long as it lasts.

I love the telluride. With two kids in front row facing carseats now (nuna rava) which are large, A husband that is 6'4" and I am 5'9", and also two labrador retrievers, we all fit great. I love with the bucket seats, the dogs can jump in and walk into the back as im loading the kids in. very family friendly, and exterior is I think very fashionable.

Love the car! Handles well and has the room for our family of four. Once the kids in their car seats are loaded we have so much more space for the dog, sports equipment or additional friends. One change I would make is to have captains chairs instead in the bench but that’s only a minor wish. The reliability of this car has been great. I see us having this vehicle for many many years!

I love my Telluride and am so happy with my purchase. The second row is just as comfortable as the driver/passenger seat and it has great space for a growing family. We have taken it on several road trips with everything we need for three kids packed in the trunk and not a problem getting where we need to go. So far zero complaints with this vehicle I love it love it love it!

This car is great!! I love how it looks on the outside. The inside interior is great too. To me it feels fancy but isn’t over the top in price. I wish the back row had a little more room. And I wish it it had Bluetooth Apple car play. But the captains chairs are great. And the room on the second town is great for 2 big Graco car seats

I wish the third row had upper anchors on both sides for more car seat flexibility. When technology updates we’ve had a few temporary glitches, but nothing is a deal breaker. I still love the look and comfort a few years down the road but the new body style has caught my eye too! At some point we removed the shelf that hides the hidden access in the trunk and just use the trunk without it for a deeper space that fits more.

This has been a reliable car for us, although our experience with Kia as a whole has not been great. We just hit 100,000 miles and are nervous about what lies ahead since our last Kia didn’t make it this far. Overall, I’d recommend the Telluride if you’re looking for affordable, stylish and efficient for a family of 4.

I love how it looks sporty and luxury. I love that it feels luxury but isn’t the price of a Range Rover, etc. I really enjoy how it drives and I do like the third row: however it is smaller for a third row. And with third row up there is not quite as much trunk space. Obviously can’t compare to a big car like an Escalade/Yukon/Tahoe or other similar cars, but I do appreciate that it is still larger & less expensive than those options

This is my second telluride. I previously leased the 2024. I love the new exterior redesign. It looks more like a luxury vehicle. On the interior, the gear shift does take some getting used and the placement is a bit awkward when trying to access the climate controls on the screen. A major change from the 2024 is the seat belt placement on the second row. My kids can actually buckle themselves now that they are not recessed in. Car seat tilt makes third row access easier. We often have family visiting and the third row is spacious enough for adults.

Overall a fantastic family car. The car drives smoothly and the AWD is great for snowy winters. The interior amenities (many cup holders, USB ports, ceiling vents) are great and the third row is fairly comfortable and decently sized. We have had a couple very minor issues and Kia service isn’t the most amazing experience, but overall I would definitely recommend this vehicle. When we purchased we wished they had a hybrid version, and now they have that available so I would definitely recommend looking into that option! This is an overall great family workhorse.

I bought this car when I was pregnant with my second and it’s been a great family car with 2 kids in car seats. I got the captains chairs and found that was easier for the third row access with car seats in the second row. We can still climb around to get to the third row (not easily but it’s doable). Overall I’ve enjoyed this car since I’ve owned it but I do want to note that it’s had A LOT of recalls since I’ve owned it. In the 2ish years I’ve had it, I’ve had to take it in 4-5 times for recall issues. Some of which were pretty serious things like the seat adjuster supposedly could spontaneously combust and catch on fire! I got a letter stating to not park my car in the garage or near other vehicles until it could be resolved which I thought was crazy. Luckily I was able to get it fixed quickly at no charge. All have been fixed at no charge but it’s still my time at the dealership which I would rather not have to spend. I came from owning multiple bmws back to back which I had literally never dealt with a recall issue so this is very foreign to me. I guess I just assumed cars were tested more before going out on the lots! I also wish I would’ve know about the issue with captains chairs and putting the third row down and having stuff in the trunk being a possible projectile in a crash. I just never thought about that until Kelly brought it up. We do sometimes travel with the third row down and stuff in the trunk and I just try to pack things so that it’s really wedged in there and nothing potentially dangerous on top but something I will consider for future cars. Also wish the tech was a little better on this car. The car play only works if plugged in.

Love the car but definitely would recommend a bench seat if you have or plan to have more than 2 kids. Having a seat up in the 3rd row doesn’t leave much space for anything else in the back.

Great car overall, will just say the gas mileage short distance isn’t good. I average about 15 to a gallon. Amazing car for 3 kids and I love the captain seats for my older kid to get into the back easier. My favorite car I have owned by far!

I’ve had three Tellurides and they have all been outstanding! They are easy to learn and use, have great power and look great! My kids have grown out of car seats but the flexibility with them has worked well for our family. Latches are great. I appreciate the hidden storage in the back when all three rows are in use.

Love everything about my car. My only complaint is kind of silly, but you can only lock the doors with the key (which is always at the bottom of my bag) or by pressing the black button on the driver or passenger side door. I like a car where you can lock it from any door or even the trunk especially when you have a little kids. It’s annoying to walk back to the front door after you get them out of the car. Other than that, I love everything about the car. It drives great, fits. The kids great, fits car seats great

Love the telluride! We have a 2020, but it wasn’t an option for the review system. I drove it as my primary vehicle for almost 3 years and now my husband does. He’s told me recently that if we don’t have a reason for a truck in the future, he would buy another telluride! GOOD TO KNOW—I would NOT purchase this for a primary vehicle if you have or want to have more than 2 kids. It was great for 2, but so hard with 3. I had 3 under 3.5 years old, and the car seats were tough. I had to transition my 3.5 yr old to front facing to fit him in the third row, and it wasn’t ideal loading him in and out. Had to get him in and buckled before clicking my infant seat into the base in the second row. And we HAD to buy a new vehicle (Kia Carnival, love her), when my baby transitioned to a convertible car seat because I couldn’t access the third row of the telluride anymore without going through the back hatch. If you have older kids and don’t need to worry about everyone in car seats, I think it would be okay. But know the third row doesn’t have much leg room (and I’m 5’3” so I don’t need much).

I love my telluride! I have 6yr old twins in car seats. We did captains chairs in the second row for their car seats, my kiddos are super comfortable and they love it. The air vents on the ceiling second row are a game changer for them in the summer heat! As for trunk space, it’s pretty spacious but I usually keep the 3rd row down since we do a lot of Costco trips. I love how spacious it is. We recently moved and I put down both the second and third row and was able to fit furniture in it!! My husband and I were impressed. Lastly, I really like the eco feature since gas is so expensive these days, I feel like it makes a full tank last a little longer. Overall, I think it works great for our family. The space and features are very family friendly, while still having a nice sporty exterior look which I love!

This has been a reliable SUV for over 5 years. It has been spacious enough for our family and 3 kids. Now that we have a 4th and our oldest is 12, we are considering a more roomy SUV with more trunk space. However, I am a Kia stan of 10+ years. I think this vehicle has been the perfect combination of affordable, reliable, and comfortable, while it also looks super nice and sporty! I have had little to no issues with it, besides the typical replacing the windshield when it broke and the tires when they wore. It’s comfortable. It’s nice. It’s affordable in my opinion. It’s reliable. It doesn’t have a whole lot of bells and whistles, though you can get a telluride that has more than mine does, but it’s enough for me for the time being.

Honestly, I love my car soo much I’ve convinced 2 of my sisters to get the same one and we all are in agreement that it’s the best mom car!!! We’ve all been able to find reasonably priced, pre owned ones with less than 90k in miles. Our top fav features are -The Ceiling vents!! IYKYK -4 cup holders in easy reach for driver -Heated Seats and steering wheel - How roomy the second row has. Adults can easily fit comfortably on a long road trip. It’s also great for infant carriers or rear facing car seats. The driver/passenger doesn’t have to give up any leg room. -you still have great room in the back when your 3rd row is up. -It’s easy in the eyes!! The ONLY thing us girls or our husbands don’t like is the start/stop feature. It’s kind of wishy washy. But we’re all in the habit of just immediately turning it off when we get in to go anywhere. I’ve had a few mom cars and without a doubt this had been my favorite one. I’d repurchase in a heart beat! If you’re looking for a long term car and you have 1 to 2 kids but might want more this car is awesome!!!

I absolutely LOVE my Telluride. I have two kids under 6 and I drive around family members in the third row frequently. The Telluride is spacious, gorgeous, has high-end tech, handles well and doesn’t have a huge price tag compared to other third-row vehicles. I test drove the Grand Highlander, Sienna, Pilot, Palisade, CX-90, and the Telluride was by far my favorite for the features and the price tag. I have the captain’s chairs in the second seat. It is so easy to install car seats in, has great trunk space, and is wonderful family car.

I wanted to love this car so bad. And in a lot of ways, I did. Just not enough to buy it. First, the safety ratings are wonderful for this car. It’s a top safety + for IIHS and has wonderful reviews of safety features. I think it was almost too tech focused and there were too many features for me to manage. In my eyes, the more tech features I have to manage the more features there are to break and need maintenance. I was hoping it would be a bit more practical, like the 2024 and 2025 Palisade, which still looked pretty futuristic. I also did not love the way it drove. I sat too low and felt every bump as well as heard a lot of road noise. But the safety ratings, how cool it looked was what drew me to it! For the price tag I needed a little bit more practical of a choice.

Great for two kids. I love that it has ceiling air vents for the second row. It’s easy to drive and display is very user friendly and simple. It’s a big car without feeling like your driving a bus.

This car is very spacious and is good for anyone with 2 kids. I feel like this would be a great car for someone with older kids as well as the third row space is very generous and adjustable. My biggest downside is that the trunk space with all 3 seats up is limited and only fits my Zoe twin stroller and not much else. However, if you don’t need the entire third row, it’s very spacious and great for my Costco and Sam’s Club runs so far with the stroller and a portable potty and a cube organizer back there with a change of clothes, wipes, blanket, etc for the kiddos. Love that the rear does have individual air/heat vents so the kiddos don’t get hot back there and everyone has their own cup holder in the middle console along with in the doors and the third row also has their own holders and charging areas as well. Love there is a 12V outlet in the trunk as well. Overall I’m very pleased with the vehicle.

The sound machine feature was a game changer for littles to nap on the go. Big enough to fit all 3 kids. The trunk has so much space with the 3rd row down.

I love this car! I know it might seem silly to have a 3rd-row vehicle with only one toddler, but we hope to grow our family, so we wanted the extra space. My 5'11" husband fits comfortably in the front seat with our forward-facing toddler behind him. He has plenty of legroom, which makes road trips much more comfortable. The cargo space is a little tight with all three rows up, but since we only have one kiddo right now, we keep the 3rd row folded down. The sleek, curved design of this redesign makes me feel like a cool mom, lol. Silly, I know, but I love it! I'm still really happy with our purchase and regularly recommend this car to our friends. OH! And how could I forget the cup holders? There are SO MANY cup holders! I can bring a plethora of drinks and still have plenty of room. Honestly, that's a win in my book!

I absolutely love my 2027 Kia Telluride! I previously leased a 2023 Telluride and the sleek design, extra interior room& added features to the same trim level I previously had made me fall in love with the 2027 version! I can easily fit my 3 kids, 3 and under and my stroller in this car! I can also fit the wonderfold wagon easily with the double seats down in the third row! The power lift gate makes it so much easier when I have my hands full going out with all three littles on my own. The technology is so advanced especially for this price point! I don’t love the faux leather with the cloth mix on the seats but it’s grown on me as I’ve had the car more! Absolutely love this more affordable third row option for everyday life with three little ones!

I love my telluride. So much that when it was totaled in an accident I bought another! It’s the perfect size for my family of 4. I rarely need the third row so I have a big trunk but it’s nice to have the option for more seating if we ever need it. The tech features are thorough and function well. You get all the bells and whistles of a premium vehicle at a lower price. It drives so well and I love the style. The perfect car! NO NOTES!

I love this car as my mom car. Do wish the trunk space was a little bigger, but overall a decent size trunk for mid-size 3 row SUV. Bigger car seats (evenflow revolve 360 gold) will be tight if put behind a tall driver in the drivers seat. Overall very happy with this mom/family car.

We purchased a Kia Telluride two years ago when we were moving from a small town in southern Illinois back to Chicago. Transitioning to city living meant needing something easier to park and navigate, but we also wanted a third row SUV for more passengers. Last month, we welcomed our third child and are now considering a larger vehicle. We love the car and it has been great for us, but as a sports family on the go, when the third row is in use (which now always has to be) the trunk space is SCARCE. So much so, that we purchased a doona x car seat for this new baby to be able to have the stroller option as a large stroller for I’ll not fit in the trunk space now. Overall this car has been wonderful as a family or 4, but now would definitely say it’s too small for a family of 5!

I upgraded to this car when I found out I was pregnant with our second child. I knew we needed more trunk space and wanted enough room for two car seats, a double stroller and the weekly Costco run. This car does all that for me and it’s a nice drive. It’s the right amount of tech for me and has physical buttons instead of all touch screen like some other vehicles in the size category. Overall happy with the car.

I love this car with 2 kids and dogs e do a lot of trips driving 5-6 hours to visit grandparents and friends and it has tons of space. The trunk with 3rd row down can basically fit whatever we need plus what we want to bring as well! The 2nd row is spacious even allowing for a small adult to fit in between car seats.

This has been a great family car for us and our two kids (5 and 6). We currently have both kids in Clek Foonf car seats in the middle captain seats. The third row is not super roomy for adults, but when they were very little we would put one car seat back there with an adult and the other in the captain seat so both were accessible during road trips. Has been a great travel car. The kids like the shades that pull up in the second row and all of the vents. Plenty of usb connectors and the cameras are very good (top view and blind spot). It's a good car for the money.

We love our telluride for our family of 5. It will be tight for road trips but for everyday life, groceries, stroller, etc, it works great even with the third row up. Only downside is our gas mileage is lower than expected— under 20 mpg sometimes. We have the blacked out version and love it!

Haven’t owned the car long enough to have any complaints! The only thing I would say is that, depending on how your car seat base latches (if you’re using the seat belt to secure the base), the car seat’s tilt feature doesn’t allow access to the third row with my rear-facing infant car seat. This is totally dependent on the type of base attachment you have, though! Safety features are amazing, like nothing I’ve ever owned in the past. We do plan on have more kiddos in the future, so I’m sure eventually I may want to look into a full sized SUV or the Kia Carnival.

I absolutely love my 2025 Kia Telluride! It has such a smooth, quiet ride and is incredibly comfortable, even on longer drives. The technology is one of my favorite features—it’s modern, easy to use, and makes driving so much more convenient. Overall, it feels like a luxury SUV without the luxury price tag. I’m very happy with my Telluride and would definitely recommend it!

I love this car. It has most of the bells and whistles you’d expect for a mid-range SUV. I like the safety features. I wish it had the built in baby monitor/camera like some newer cars. The third row is a bit tight, and the trunk is a bit small when the third row is up, but since I only have one child I usually keep the third row down to open up more trunk space.

2 littles and the Telly is the best- it’s comfortable and so stylish! We have captain chairs and our 3rd row is ALWAYS down. If we were to have a 3rd I’d have to figure out car seats and then can hardly fit my uppababy / Zoe stroller. The cup holders sold me to be honest!! I’m on my 2nd telluride and I do love love love it!

I’ve had my 2025 Kia Telluride for about a year now, and overall, I really like it. As a mom of three boys, I find it comfortable, easy to drive, and spacious enough to fit all three kids without a problem. My biggest frustration is the seating configuration. I really wanted a second-row bench seat, but it wasn’t available in the higher trim levels, which was disappointing. The captain’s chairs are nice, but they limit the flexibility of the seating, especially when we have extra passengers. The middle seat in the third row is also so narrow that it’s not really practical for an actual person. Overall, I love the comfort and the way the Telluride drives. I just wish Kia offered more seating options across all trim levels. For a vehicle marketed as a family SUV, having the option of a second-row bench shouldn't mean sacrificing the features you want.

I’ve had my Telluride for a few months now & absolutely love it! It has plenty of room for my family of five, tons of cargo space, and rides so smooth. I love the higher clearance, the X-Line styling, and all the little features that make everyday driving easier. It’s comfortable, roomy, looks great, and has been exactly what I needed after outgrowing my previous vehicle. Definitely happy with my choice!

Love the 2nd and 3 row ceiling air vents. The dashboard is beautiful. Love the physical AC buttons. Even though there are 4 cup holders, they’re small so it doesn’t fit a bigger bottle. Other than that, best car ever for my 3 kids in car seats and the occasional 3rd row rider

This car is so roomy and comfortable. We can easily fit a rotating carseat and numa pipa in the 2nd row (havent tried the 3rd). We can comfortably fit 2 adults in the 3rd row (my mom and dad have both fit for a 3 hr drive!), and can squeeze 3 skinny adults for shorter drives (myself and 2 of my sisters fit for a 30 minute drive but that might be my limit!). We chose this car because it felt like the best value, comfort, powerful engine, and style for this price range.

The telluride is great for 2 kids. We have captains chairs and found the trunk spacious with 3rd row down. We take long trips (8+ hours) to see family several times/year and this vehicle handles snow, ice and long drives very well. We love how it drives. We just had our third and access to the third row is a bit of a pain. Our 5 year olds booster seat only fits in one space in the third row as only one seat has an anchor. She has limited leg room because the infant bucket seat sits in front of her and can’t be moved forward any further. The trunk space has also shrunk substantially and can’t safely fit the uppababy cruz without the seats next to my 5 year old down. Overall I think it’s been great for 2 kids but it’ll be clunky until our baby is in a convertible seat probably

I think the older body style of the Telluride is one of the most boring designs available in mid size SUV's. However, the green color is gorgeous and the black detailing makes it look much nicer. It's had a few quirks (like telling me to watch out for ice when its 100° outside. or getting stuck in first gear after using ethanol gas....). But otherwise, I'm happy with it. Glad it's a lease and I get to try out another car in a few years, though!

This has been a great car for my family of 4 (two kids in car seats). I have the captains chairs. We do keep the 3rd row down which has plenty of space for double stroller, Costco run, etc. However, for road trips where we take our dog or want to have an adult in the back with the kids, we always take my husbands truck since we don't have the bench. It's been a very reliable car, I love how it drives - overall it's been wonderful for our family!

What do I like? - I really like the size of this car and how it drives and the interior brown is a really pretty color and easy to keep clean. - The technology is good but could use wireless carplay and could go without the wireless charging because I always end up using that spot for storage instead. - I got this car as my first mom car when I was still parking on the street in the city and I loved that the mirrors folded in automatically (the palisade at the time didn't). - I have big car seats in the second row captain chairs and they fit well - Uppababy Knox. - the Uppababy full stroller and attachments to make it a double stroller fit well in my trunk with the third row down, not as well with it up What I miss about my volvo: - I like almost everything about it except when I had a volve xc60 before this car, the volvo had buttons on every door to lock/unlock and no cap on the gas - both of those things in the Kia annoy me so bad! I always have my hands full and can't get the back doors unlocked without doing an unknown sequence of hitting the front door buttons and when getting gas with hands full, it was such a luxury to not have that cap. First world problems, but my volvo xc60 was terrible for car seats so I upgraded to this.

I almost bought this car as my mom car. I had a deposit down. I loved the interior, I loved the features. I mean the blind spot cameras on the dash sold me. That and the ceiling vents for second and third row. BUT I spent weeks on the Telluride reddit and just really stressed about the constant serious issues and recalls that kept happening that were pervasive. After months of research on lots of different cars, I'm convinced any car you buy has an equal chance of having an issue. There isn't one brand that is clean. But it just seemed that there were A LOT of issues that were consistent across the Telly population. I wanted to love it- my husband was convinced on it. But I couldn't pull the trigger.

Before you buy a Telluride, know about your local Kia/Hyundai dealership. You will have recalls, and if spending time at the dealership is awful, you will want to trade it in now matter how much you like it. My local dealership was purchased by a large conglomerate and went downhill, leading to long wait times and sub-par service. Okay - the actual vehicle was good! The tech and styling were gorgeous. The continuous screen from the drivers dash to the center screen was super sharp. Also, there isn't a large overhang on the dash, so I felt like I had better visibility. I went from two rear-facing, convertible seats and one big kid, to one booster, one forward facing convertible seat, and a tall preteen while driving my Telluride. The tall preteen was getting pretty uncomfortable in the third row because we had to have the second row pushed back for two tall drivers/front passengers. Ultimately the trade-in was due to the need for 1. more third-row and trunk space, 2. better gas mileage, and 3. less time at the dealership for recalls. In the time I had the vehicle, I was at the dealership for at least 5 recalls. Traded it in for a 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid, and couldn't be happier!

I have had the 2027 Kia Telluride X-Pro SX Prestige for about 6 months now. I have a 5 month old and an almost 3 year old. My kids are in the captain's seats - baby is in a Nuna Pipa on the driver side and my toddler is in a Britax Poplar S on the passenger side. I am short, but my husband is very tall and has enough leg room even with the infant seat behind him. We are loving the sun shades, the ceiling vents, the easy fold third row. We only have two children so the captain's seats work for us, but would have gotten a bench if it was available on the higher trims. The space between their seats is a drop zone for shoes, water bottles, toys - and its not exactly easy to get to those things when they fall there. We've had cousins ages 8-13 years old in the third row and they have enough room. We are able to have the third row down most of the time, so trunk space is not an issue. It would be hard to get our mockingbird stroller in there with that row up though and when we've gone on longer road trips with our dog, we still need our carrier up top for more space. Overall, with 2 kids, a 70 lb dog, and tall drivers, so far we are really liking the car. Another kid would probably have us looking for a minivan!

Overall, The 2024 kia telluride is working well for my family of 4 but there are a few minor annoyances. Pros: -Plenty of space - adults can fit in the second or third rows comfortably. With the third row down we fit everything we need for our yearly beach trip. -Drives smooth, feels safe Cons: -Android Auto/Apply CarPlay only works while connected to the UsB cable. My last car connected to it through Bluetooth so I have been missing this. -Adaptive cruise control is finicky - it tends to randomly slow down when nothing is ahead from time to time.

I love this car. We have had zero issues with it, it gets decent gas mileage, I love the chocolate interior! I love the captains chairs. The second and third rows feel spacious for a midsize SUV.

I owned Toyotas before getting the Telluride. We made the switch because we needed more second row leg room for my 6’3 husband and it has been great. We’ve had it for 3.5 years and have never had to take it in for anything other than routine maintenance or recall work. We have captain’s chairs and it does make it a little tricky with two rear facing seats to access the third row but with two kids we haven’t needed the third row much. We took it on a road trip from Austin to New Orleans with the third row in use and the trunk space was still large enough to hold 4 adults and 1 baby (pack n play included) worth of packing without any issues.
