2022 Hyundai Santa Fe

This car has exceeded all my expectations. Installing car seats has been very easy, and I've installed many from infant up to booster seat and many in between. Straightforward, reliable, not too techy. Easy and affordable to maintain. I love the storage under the centre console area. The under floor storage in the trunk is AMAZING! No more watermelons rolling around in the trunk... Has more than decent power. Merging onto the highway is never an issue. My husband drives a Tuscon but prefers the comfort of the seats of my Santa Fe for longer drives. I bought it new, just paid it off and decided to keep it for another 5 to 6 years, at least. Fuel economy is good, I average about 10 L/100km with a mix of city and highway driving. If you're considering this generation of Santa Fe, I totally recommend it!

I’ve been leasing this vehicle since April 2024. I was so excited for this updated style to come out that let’s just say I jumped pretty quickly into a lease. While I do think the 2nd row is very comfortable seating wise, there are no lower vents or vent controls. My daughter is 11 so I don’t have any experience in this particular vehicle with car seats, but with the amount of space I can anticipate it would accommodate many options. They 3rd row is also ample space but if you’re using it everyday you may find it difficult to access. I personally keep my 3rd row down most often because I need the trunk space for my daughter’s sports equipment. As for the driver and passenger comfort, the seats are good and overall look of the dashboard is nice too. I don’t think the cup holders are that great…I can’t fit two Stanley size tumblers together in the console. The door cup holders are also odd and don’t hold more than a plastic water bottle. The console also isn’t my favorite. I find it small however the positive of it is that you can also access the console from the second row. My biggest complaint about this vehicle is the transmission. It is very rough when kicking into gears. The engine revs and jerks and then jumps into gear. It’s not necessarily a smooth ride! I’ll be very happy when my lease is up next year!

I have two girls, 6 and 7 years old, as well as two dogs (one a big 85 lb golden doodle). This car has been great for us size wise as we don’t really need the third row a lot. I love all the features and tech of the Calligraphy trim. I also commute 100 miles round trip a couple days a week for work and the gas mileage has been great with the hybrid engine. I live in Vermont and average over 30 mpg which is far better than any other 3 row suv I’ve leased in the past.

We purchased the calligraphy hybrid model of this car. We were looking for something luxurious but also family friendly and this model hit all the marks. Our Britax car seat fits with plenty of room and the seats with the Napa leather, heating, and cooling are SO comfortable. The trunk space is limited but if you aren’t using your third row on a regular basis, it’s not a big deal. We love the safety features (camera mode when your turn signal is activated, heads up technology, and crash prevention). It took a little bit to get used to the gear shift on the steering wheel, but we actually prefer that now. I would highly recommend for a family of four!

Absolutely love this car! The exterior (I am team black car!) has a sleek look and seems to be one of the last cars to keep a more rounded body style before the current boxy trend. The interior is a gorgeous brown toned leather that I am obsessed with and want in every future vehicle. We also have dark rims a panoramic sunroof! The 2023 body style does not have a third row, which can be limiting for larger families, but it works well for us for now! Without the third row, the backseat is more spacious and allows for more legroom. With two Graco 4EVER DLX 4-in-1 car seats installed (1 RF and 1 FF) it is tight to get a grown up into the middle seat between the kids. The trunk is very large - we can fit a double stroller with ease. The technology in the car is great! We have cameras in the front and back, 360 degree view for reversing, and cameras on both side mirrors for turning/merging. Notable features include lane departure warnings, mutiple drive modes, auto hold and a heated steering wheel. We utilize both Hyundai Bluelink and Apple Carplay options. The Harman Kardon sound system is quality. There is even a Sounds of Nature frequency to play calming noises and a "quiet mode" option for turning off/down the music in the second row for nap time! My least favorite things about the technology include an occasional delay for the screen to 'warm up' and the outlets are USB instead of USB-C. This car offers smooth and quiet rides. We have the plug in hybrid model giving us the best of both worlds. We can use the electric miles for daily activities around town - once we are out it's just back to reliable combustion engine. It's like having and electric car without range anxiety. We don't *have to* plug in (like when it's winter and snowy and cold) and can rely on the engine. Typically, we get about 350-400 between fill ups. I would recommend this car to others - a good price point and a great family car.
