I love this car for its large trunk, easy access lower anchors, comfortable seats, and savings on gas! My only complaints are with the infotainment system which has had a number of recalls and the low ground clearance/bumpiness of the ride over things like speed bumps.

I leased an ID.4 for 3 years while we had two rear facing kids. We used the Nuna Rava and Nuna Pipa rx and LOVED it. The back seat is deceivingly roomy. There was plenty of room for both my husband and in the front seats. I am 5'5 and my husband is 6'. The trunk also fit the Uppababy Vista stroller (2 seats) and a very small haul of groceries. The only reason we got rid of it was because our lease ended around the time we got pregnant with our third child. Our only cons were that there is not room for a 3rd person or car seat in the back when we had our car seats in. Also, the sensitivity when in reverse is insane. It would auto-brake just backing down the driveway if I went above about 3mph. This drove me crazy! Other than that, I think it is a great car for families!

Heated second row with climate control in the rear as well as vents for second row. Spacious interior for older kids who may be taller as well as plenty of trunk space for folding sports chairs, coolers, and sports bags.

MINE IS ACTUALLY A 2021 - BUT THAT WASNT AN OPTION TO REVIEW. We bought it preowned because we wanted to test out how all electric worked for our family. The range is great and that function works wonderfully for us. We have fit three car seats in the back but did have to buy 3 slimfit lx in order to fit. We have since moved to 1 slimfit and 2 boosters and that also works well. My complaints about the car are SUPER nitpicky. I HATE that the car automatically turns off when the driver gets out of the seat (meaning there is no option to leave the car running in the driveway while you aren't in it). It also feels like driving a tank. I guess due to the battery, it is very heavy and you notice that when braking. Otherwise, the interior feels luxurious and has met our needs. My husband and I both agree we would likely not buy this exact version of the car again but would absolutely buy another all electric VW or even an ID.4 if the newer models are less clunky to drive. Overall though we have had NO issues and barely even any maintenance. We bought the car for a great deal and it has served us really well for a great value.
