Crosstrek

I've had my Subaru Crosstrek since before I was a mom, it served me well traveling for work all over the NYC metro area for work for a few years, then I had my first baby, car seats fit totally fine, but with 2 car seats and 2 dogs, it's tight. I can barely fit my butt or shoulders between the two seats (we usually have our dog sit there on trips) and the trunk did used to fit my stroller (mockingbird double with both seats) but it doesn't fit our wagon (baby trend) so we use my husband's outback for most trips or wagon trips. But the Crosstrek gets decent gas milage, totally fine for 2 kids, we had the nuna pipa and then the nuna ravas x2 in both our cars and the kids have zero issues getting in and out and it's easy for me to get them in and out too bc I am only 5 feet tall. Gas milage is decent 28-34 ish I would say - I've only had to replace brakes and tires and a battery recently (we're going on 8 yrs old now!) and she's still super cute and I'm going to have a hard time upgrading to a larger vehicle which I do honestly plan to do next because I can never fit a friend or a cousin in here if we want so that's the main reason for upgrading maybe in another year or so! I wish I could keep her forever for my kids to have later on! I truly do love this car!

This is the car we brought our first baby home in and now with three kids, all three can fit across with the right seats/boosters, if needed! It’s our secondary family car but when our primary car has been at the shop we have gotten by just fine with it.

I’ve had this car with no kids, one kid, and 2 kids! I currently have an infant in an infant car seat (Nuna Pipa) and a toddler in a rear-facing convertible car seat (Nina Rava). I’m 5’4” and I can drive comfortably with the infant car seat behind me. My husband is 6’ and he would prefer a couple more inches of room, but he’s still able to drive my car with the car seat behind him. The Rava fits well behind the passenger side. The trunk space is great! Easily dots out huge Nina Mixx Next stroller. But the stroller takes up most of the trunk… This has been an amazing car for the last 8 years, but I think now with 2 kids, we will be in the market for a larger 3-row SUV soon! My biggest complaint is lack of air conditioning for the back row, which is tough in Texas with rear-facing kids. We use a Noggle, but that’s a big reason we want a new car! It’s been super reliable though, with only one mechanical issue early on that was under warranty. Highly recommend as a smaller mom car, or with only one kid!

My son owns a 2012 Subaru Legacy with 58,000 miles! (note: I could not select that vehicle from the drop down but the Crosstrek base is the same as the Legacy). Subarus are known for their safety and I am extremely comfortable having my 18 year old son drive this every day. It handles like a dream even though it is 16 years old. This is a great car for a teen!

I really liked the Crosstrek! It’s a great size for everyday driving and perfect for hopping around town. It’s easy to maneuver, comfortable, and has plenty of space without feeling like you’re driving a big SUV. My only real complaint would be the front cupholders — they’re not the best and could definitely be designed a little better. 😂 Other than that, I thought it was a great vehicle and would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a practical, comfortable car for everyday errands and getting around town.

This was my first car and I leased it! It was a cute and reliable car for me. One carseat would have fit well but once we added a dog to the mix - I knew we'd need more trunk space! I loved the tech on the car and the heated windshield in the winter.
