I Leased my car in Jan 2024 when I was pregnant with my second child and it was a perfect family of 4 car. With the third row down. I had plenty of truck space. The only issue I would have was loosing connection with car okay regularly which would be frustrating. I wasn’t expecting to get pregnant with my 3rd child during this lease. Having the bench we make it work but it is a tight fit. The car is car seat friendly but looking forward to getting a larger car with captain chairs for a bit more room.

Q7

I’ve genuinely loved my Audi Q7. It’s comfortable, drives beautifully, feels luxurious without being over the top, and has been a great vehicle for our family. That said, with kids who are now 3 and 5, I’m realizing that we’ve outgrown it a bit for our day-to-day life. The third row is helpful in a pinch, but getting kids in and out, and actually using the third row regularly, isn’t quite as easy as I’d like. At this stage, I’m ready for something a little bigger with second-row captain’s chairs, more usable space behind the third row, and easier access when we have extra people with us. My other hesitation with the Q7 has been the cost of maintenance. I knew I was buying a luxury European SUV, so I certainly didn’t expect inexpensive service, but some of the maintenance visits have been pretty painful as the mileage has climbed. Overall, though, I’ve loved owning it. I’m not looking to move on because I dislike the Q7, I’m really just at a point where our family needs more space and a different seating configuration. If Audi offered me the same driving experience and feel in something Tahoe-sized with captain’s chairs, I’d be very tempted to stay.

I love this car! Though I will say, I wouldn't rank it as a top family car, especially if you have more than one kiddo or like to travel with a lot of gear. It doesn't have great cup holders (which is standard Audi), only has ceiling vents on the side panels and in the center console for the 2nd row and the 3rd row really is only helpful for short trips when you need it or for kids not in car seats. We are not light packers for trips and will pack this thing to the BRIM for our family of 3. So, it does hold a lot but we joke we'd never fit things for a 2nd kid. 2nd row has decent room though the driver side does have to be a bit forward to fit a rear facing car seat (we have the Revolve 360 and before that a Doona). This all said, I LOVE how it drives, it's a super fun car and I get tons of compliments. We have trouble with our CarPlay cutting out when we are in larger cities near power lines or going past construction zones. The dealership said there is frequent interference in those places, but that just seems odd to us. So, it hasn't been the best from that perspective. My husband does not like the lane assistance guidance, but I do. We got the upgraded package with panoramic ceiling and heated and cooling seats, highly recommend. So far, so good with any mechanical issues (knock on wood). Overall, this is a FUN car that I really enjoy. I would think about updating to the Q9 in the future. I just wouldn't say it would get Kelly's high ranking for a mom-centered car where cup holders, ceiling vents, etc. are important.

Q7

We bought the Q7 about a month after we had our first (upgraded from a leased Q5) and we have absolutely loved it! We have 3 kids now and this car is still working and dare I say comfortable for us. We have slim seats (2 Graco slimfit 3LXs and 1 evenflo 360 revolve slim) across the bench and it works flawlessly. The Q7 has lower anchors and tethers in every seating position and it makes multiple kids so easy. We do use the 3rd row for carpooling on occasion and the 2 full size seats are so much nicer than a doll seat for a third seat. We use an uppababy vista or a Zoe double/triple as our primary strollers and they fit easily in our trunk with the 3rd row down (our standard). With the 3rd row up, the trunk is tight. I probably wouldn’t buy this car for littles if I needed all three rows regularly. We’ve had this car 5 and a half years and have never had an issue with it, outside of regular maintenance. As far as reliability is concerned, she has lasted longer than any other vehicle we’ve ever had. My biggest cons with it are that the storage (center counsel, door cubbies, under trunk, etc) are lacking in a car this big, the cup holders are shockingly small (no Stanley’s), and the tech can feel a little bit clunky. But for a car that has seen our family through so many stages, she’s been amazing and I would definitely recommend her.

We test drove several luxury mid-size 3-row SUVs over the course of a year (Audi, Genesis, Mercedes, BMW, Volvo, and VW specifically) and we kept coming back to the Audi Q7. The power and smooth drive/steering was by far our favorite. Also the interior and outside bodywork looked the nicest to us (Mercedes and Genesis were close rivals). We bought the 2025 Audi Q7 and absolutely LOVE it. White body, chestnut brown interior. It gets great MPG for an SUV, and the trunk space is huge when 3rd row is down. We currently have a 3yo and 10mo, so they sit in the middle row. It will be perfect when we have more kids because our oldest will be able to fit in the 3rd row on a booster seat at that point (does not for full car seats unfortunately). The few things I don’t care for include: weak middle row face vents that don’t really reach kids in their RF car seats, small glovebox space so place for keys and purse are tricky if car is fully occupied, and it doesn’t have pause-brake capability so I can’t take my foot off peddle to rest at red lights etc. Aside from those things, it’s a 10/10 for us.

Drives beautifully, great handling and traction in bad weather. Interior is nice and everyone always comments about the sleek interior lighting (you can change colors), and the Audi logo light rings projected onto the ground when the door opens. 2nd row is spacious and well ventilated. Hatchback is roomy when third row is down otherwise it’s very tight. Third row is good in a pinch.

The Audi Q7 does what most mid sized suv does not, fit three car seats in a row. I have three kids that all still rides rear facing and they all sit on the second row which gives me plenty of space in the trunk for strollers, groceries etc. The three sets of lower anchors (Isofix) on the second row is brilliant. The driving experience is amazing, feels like driving a sport car. If you have more than three kids and need to use the third row every day it might not be spacious enough. But it certainly is nice that you can put two car seats next to each other on the second row (since the middle seat is wider than many other cars and has Isofix anchors) which makes access to third row easy. Don’t think a tall adult would like to ride in the third row for a longer ride though. Overall a great car for families with up to three kids in a car seats that prefer to place all of them in the second row and that prefers a mid sized car rather than a van or bigger SUV for parking reasons etc.

I love my Audi Q7 and would recommend it to anyone with kids looking for a nice car. The car drives so smooth and feels luxurious. I love the way it drives and doesn’t feel like you’re in a huge SUV. Amazingly, I can fit my FOUR kids in it just fine. We purchased this car when I had three kids and it handled three across in the second row beautifully. We had some combination of boosters, a convertible and an infant car seat. Then surprise— fourth baby! I didn’t want to give up my car but knew that I needed my older kids to be able to get into the third row by themselves. So I researched and found a Youtube video of how to remove the middle seat in the second row. After removing this seat, my two big kids could easily climb in the back. And in the second row I have my own makeshift captain chairs for my toddler and baby. Truly a great set-up for us. My only complaint for this car is it could use more cup holders in the front.

The Q7 has styling and performance down, but the third row inaccessibility is a real downer. I rarely use the third row due to how difficult it is for my kids to climb in and the limited leg room. It gets great gas mileage and feels like a performance sports car. I love the premium speakers and other features like adaptive cruise control, but my growing kids are making it hard to keep driving. Audi service under warranty is great. The premium 20” tires wear out more quickly and are expensive. Car seat set up in the second row is easy and the seatbelt connectors are well thought out/accessible. Overall, would be a great car for two kids in the city, but the third is making it less attractive.

We have had so many issues with the multimedia system, the vehicle has been in the shop for lengthy visits 5 times. It still isn’t fixed. I’ve was warned about buying a German suv and I should have listened. Also there is nowhere to put anything in the car- no centre co sole or purse tray or any kind.

This 3 row, 7 passenger SUV is great for the mama who occasionally needs 3 rows but doesn't want to feel like she's driving an SUV. The interior works well for a family of 4 with younger or older kids. I have owned two different years of this car (2019 & 2024) and find it fits our family at multiple stages of our lives. In 2020, I had two kiddos in 5 point harness britax car seats. We could fit one of those car seats in the 3rd row if needed. Now that these kiddos are both in backless boosters, they are at the stage they can sit in 3rd row and pass the 5 step test without the booster. We live in Utah and the Q7 is great for winter travel. I would most likely buy this again if something were to happen to it. I have owned BMW x7, 2022 Escalade, and Chevy Tahoe and seem to come back to the Q7 as our best fit.

First and foremost, this car saved mine and my daughter’s life. I had an unsuspected seizure while driving and went down a hill, crossed two lanes of freeway traffic, crashed into the divider, and came out completely unharmed- not even a single scratch for either of us. The good samaritan that stopped to help us said the crash detection was already on the phone and sent my location to the police when she opened my door. The Q7 was always my dream car even before kids and it fit a Nuna Rava and Uppababy Mesa comfortably in the second row and stroller in the trunk. This car was so sleek and felt luxurious. The only reason we didn’t replace it with another Q7 was because I was afraid of having PTSD from my accident being in the same car. My husband also wanted more driver awareness safety features which Audi did not have.

Loved this car - style, drive, classy, worked well for my family of 4 + large dog. Was a money pit so sold before would’ve liked to (and wouldn’t likely buy Audi again due to reliability), but did enjoy owning this vehicle.

I love this car! Mine is a Premium Plus with the Executive Package. I bought it as a certified pre-owned with approximately 3,000 miles on it. This is my third time buying a CPO and find them to be a good value. I have a 3 year old who is still rear facing so second row leg room was very important to me when I bought this (child was 2 at the time). I wanted a luxury car with good trunk space and leg room. I also strongly considered BMW, Volvo, and Mercedes, but ultimately this car checked more boxes for me and felt luxurious inside. I loved the X5, but the 2025 model had less second row leg room than this car and when I purchased it and I knew my child would likely rear face for another two years. While this car is 3 rows, I bought it knowing I will likely never use the 3rd row. It’s really too tight for regular use anyways, and I keep a cargo mat over the back and forget the 3rd row exists (a plus to me). Pros: beautiful exterior and luxurious interior, smooth and quiet ride, comfortable second row, plenty of leg room in first and second row, ample trunk space, fun to drive. Cons: not fuel efficient (I’m getting 18-19 mpg combined), not much space in center console for phone/small items).

Love this car. Lots of leg room in 2nd row, love the bench, love the space & drives like a dream. Easy to park & tons of space (I didn’t want a suburban style car, I wanted something that felt smaller driving). Love how wide the doors swing open for car seats. Love the vents in the back and shades for the kids in the 2nd row.

This car has been so nice to drive! Very smooth on the road and fits our car seats well. The one part of the car we don’t love, is the trunk. It fits a good amount but isn’t tall enough for us to put our stroller in vertically. Other than that, it has been a great car for two kids!

Absolutely love this car for the look and feel of the drive & small luxurious details, but not the most practical for a mom. It is heavy and feels safe and smooth on fast Texas highways. The small cup holders, lack of storage, & small third row aren’t the most functional for a mom. It does have a slightly larger trunk with the third row up than most midsize SUVs that I test drove. With the third row down, the trunk is incredibly big!

We love this car for our family of four right now! The second row is a car seat machine with three separate seats, all with lower anchors. I often sit on the drivers side in the second row with our two kids and I have plenty of space. I also love driving the car. It’s very quiet inside and has the comfort features that you’d expect from a luxury car. There is a lack of cup holders in the second row which is why I rated it slightly lower. Would definitely recommend this car if you’re looking for a mid size with 2-3 kids!

I absolutely love my Q7! It has been the perfect vehicle for my three kids. When I first got it, I only had one child in a car seat, so it was a great setup for our family with the older two having plenty of room. Now that I have my fourth child, it still works really well when I’m driving on my own, especially since my oldest can ride in the front passenger seat. One of my favorite things about the Q7 is how surprisingly wide and comfortable the second row is for a vehicle this size. It makes car seats and multiple kids much easier to manage. Once we have more than five people in the car, though, things get a little trickier. The trunk is fantastic with the third row folded down and still reasonably usable with the third row up. I also love the way the Q7 drives. It handles incredibly well and feels very confident and stable, even in the rain and snow, which is especially important here in the Pacific Northwest. Overall, I’ve really loved this car and have been able to make it work with four kids. That said, as our family grows, I think I’ll be moving into something larger soon. For a family of five or even a family of six that doesn’t always need all the seats. It’s been a fantastic SUV.

Excellent car seat ease of installation with lower anchors easily accessible under the plastic covers. No digging around for them between the seats and ruining my nails. Truly a game changer.

Works great for my three kids (1,5,8 year olds). Second row has worked for all variety of car seats we’ve used. Currently have an uppababy rove rear facing behind the passenger, clek foonf forward facing in the middle and peg perego high back booster behind the driver. Each seat has lower and tether anchors and is on its own track. As my kids get older the leg space will likely become an issue especially with backpacks. We rarely use the third row so usually have it down with great trunk space. It’s nice to have the option to use it, but I don’t have a good way to access it with three car seats in the second row. When we do use it, someone’s climbing through the trunk. I have loved the car for the 5 years I’ve had it. It looks great, drives great, rides great.

It’s a great looking car and does well for my family of 4 (2 kids). We have the second row with a booster and a rotating convertible car seat. We never use the 3rd row.. Cup holders are crap! However, its performance is awesome and I love being able to accelerate quickly.

Nice drive overall. 3rd row very small and wouldn’t be able to fit car seats. 2nd row is a bench so getting in and out of the 3rd row can be difficult. I’d recommend for families of 4. The technology is lacking but the drive is so solid and smooth, it makes up for what is lacking.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I know Kelly does not like this car but I really do! I have 2 kids who have been both rear facing and forward facing in it and I think its a great car for 2 kids. It has the third row if I ever was to need it but it has enough space for our daily needs. It is extremely comfortable to drive and handles wonderfully, I feel so safe in it, especially knowing its a Quattro so snow is no issue. The only downside is the center console is nonexistent. It is only a wireless charger and then a small space for pens/chapstick/hair ties next to it which is my biggest complaint. Us moms need somewhere to put all our stuff! But I am happy to deal with this minor inconveniences for a safe and reliable car. Haven't had any issues with it, we plan to keep it for a while. Another note, when buying used, it comes in at a very affordable price. I was shocked to see how affordable they are for a couple years old compared to other car brands of it's level. I really think it is overlooked when it definitely shouldn't be.

Q7

I’ve been driving a 2021 Audi Q7 for several years now, and overall, we’ve been really happy with it. We bought it new as our family car and haven’t had any major issues, which has honestly been one of the biggest positives. I drive about 20 miles a day and take a few longer road trips each year, typically under 1,000 miles per trip. There have been a couple of recalls over the years, but nothing major, mostly just software updates. We have two car seats in the second row - a Graco SlimFit LX and a Diono Cambria - on the outer seats, and there’s still enough room for an adult in the middle. We keep the third row mostly folded down and use the extra trunk space for sports gear and groceries. With the third row up, though, trunk space is pretty limited - less than two feet of usable space. We can make it work for everyday needs, but definitely not for a Costco haul. I’ve always loved the way it looks. To me, it’s “quiet luxury”. I also think it’s aging really well, especially since Audi hasn’t redesigned the Q7 since we bought ours. The technology is good enough for what we need. It has two center-console screens: the top screen handles vehicle settings, while the bottom screen controls things like climate and volume. We mostly use Apple CarPlay, and it’s been reliable and easy to connect. I also really like that I can set driver profiles, which let me save preferences (ie: driving mode, seat position, and steering wheel adjustments). Very convenient when my husband drives because I don’t have to readjust everything afterward. The biggest annoyance is probably the cupholders. We’ve made them work, but the center-console cupholders really only accommodate Stanleys with narrower bottoms. The second-row cupholder, when you fold down the back of the middle seat, is even more limited - it only fits small to-go cups or narrow Dr. Brown’s bottles. Even toddler water bottles don’t fit. Overall, we’ve been very happy with the Q7 and would recommend as a family car.

First I’ll start with I’m an Audi girlie. We previously owned a Q5 for 6 years and I loved that car except for car seats. The Q7 is more spacious and generally better for car seats. I’m expecting my 3rd child any day and I currently have it setup for 3 across, with a evenflow car seat / stroller, Diono and a graco slim booster (see picture). So far it’s worked, my oldest can buckle himself in the booster and while it’s tight everyone still fits. The trunk space is good and I personally like that it’s not the biggest mid size suv. I could easily street park it when we lived in Hoboken and I don’t get charged an oversized fee when I drive to nyc. I also love that it feels like driving a sporty car versus an suv. My husband and I both find the drive assist to be too much and very jerky especially if you try to change lanes without your signal (hello we’re Jersey drivers). Other features I like — automatic folding mirrors, unlock and lock car doors from the exterior passenger doors and the full panoramic sunroof. I’m super excited for the Q9!

My Q7 has been a great mid-size car for our family of 5. The backrow is definitely not a great third row to use on a daily basis. We utilize the bench for 3 across seats. Two Graco Slim fits and a doona. The back row is usually down and used for extended trunk space. Would definitely recommend as a great luxury vehicle that is comfortable and reliable! I have owned over 5 audis, and they all have been so terrific with reliability. I like that audis only need routine maintenance every 10,000 miles, therefore there are not many trips to the dealership. Trips to the dealership are always impossible to schedule with a busy family!
