Love my Q5 but has felt much tighter since adding a RF car seat. My husband is 6’3 and cannot ride in front of the car seat. I’m 5’5 and can but get that knees to chest sensation with the dash! Overall car is great for FTM if you already have it but wouldn’t seek it out if you need RF seats! The car has been reliable, has apple car play and enough basic tech and safety features.

Absolutely loved my Q5 - It was such a joy to drive! It was a great car with 1 kid, but it became very snug with 2 kids. The technology could have used a refresh for the year I had. Unfortunately, despite regular upkeep and maintenance, it ended up having a handful of mechanical issues around 120k miles. So we opted to buy something new, but I will always love how this car drove!

This car was great for one kid but felt very tight with two kids in car seats. I loved the drive of it, but technology was a bit out of date. Would probably work great for kids not in car seats. Good trunk space.

2025 Audi - website will not let me enter this correct model year. My MIL drives this car and uses it with a carseat for my daughter at least weekly. The car seat is a Chicco Fit 360 and the passenger seat must be moved up to the point it is uncomfortable in order for the car seat to fit properly in the second row. Second row is fairly small regardless, but a different car seat could make the space work better. Beautiful car and ample trunk space. Technology does not seem amazing but the car does have a rather sporty vibe.

Q5

I drove a Q5 for 5 years, bought before my husband and I met, got married and started a family. It was an awesome car and I still miss it! It was very reliable, I never had any issues. Tech was also great, especially for a 2018 car. When we had our son it was just too small. The front passenger seat was unusable because of the rear facing car seat so I ended up sitting in the back. The backseat is also very snug but the trunk is spacious. We ended up trading it in for an Atlas. I definitely recommend the car but unfortunately it’s just really tight for a family.

We rented this to drive from Miami to Key West in 2025. It was a fun zippy car for a road trip but the trunk space was so small. We were wishing we had the Q7 for more room.

The Audi Q5 was a very tight fit for our family, even with only one child. Depending on whether the car seat was installed behind the driver or front passenger, the person sitting in front had very limited legroom. We initially used the Nuna PIPA infant seat and later the Nuna RAVA convertible seat, and both made the front seating area feel cramped. If you have a rear-facing child, I strongly recommend testing your specific car seat in the Q5 before purchasing.
