I leased this car from end of 2023 to 2026. I test drove the SE and took the floor model SEL AWD... I have hated the car ever since I drove it off the lot. The drivetrain is really terrible, it feels like you are driving a standard that a beginner is driving, it is incredibly jerky and does not shift well, it engine breaks slowing down and feels like you are a terrible driver when you are doing nothing. There is lag when you go from stop to start and really, I just hate this car. I do not have kids, but I have had one car seat installed and was told it was easy to install and the car seat fit well. It does fit a stroller, but not much else in the trunk. I am not sure this is the best "family car" due to is small size. Adult passengers have plenty of room in the 2nd row even behind tall drivers which is a plus. While wireless carplay is nice, it often glitches and you have to restart the entire system. When I roll up or down the windows it does the opposite which is very annoying if it is raining and you want to crack the window it often rolls the window all the way down. I cannot wait to get rid of this car.

Overall it is a great small SUV. I have a 1 year old and the car is a good size for us. If you are looking for a compact SUV that won't break the bank Taos is a good choice. I've had it for 1.5 years with no complaints. It is well designed and has everything you need.

My parents have this car and it's been a great grandparent car with 1 kid. They have a Graco slimfit 3LX (rear facing right now) and there's plenty of room to push the front seat back. The trunk fits my Nuna Mixx Next too. It's a fun car to drive, really easy to park. It has Android auto/apple carplay a decent backup camera.

I love my 2025 Taos! At 5’0”, I wanted an SUV that made me feel comfortable and confident — not like I was driving a huge car. It’s the perfect size: easy to park and maneuver, but still roomy enough for a future family, car seats, and all the stuff that comes with them. I also recently experienced a significant side-impact crash in my Taos and was incredibly impressed with how it held up. I walked away safely, which made me even more confident in my choice. It’s a great option for moms — or future moms — who want something practical without sacrificing style or drivability.
