Features We Love

The Toyota Sequoia received a full redesign in 2023. No notable changes for 2024.

  • Spacious & Comfortable Second Row: There is generous legroom even behind a tall driver, along with available heated and ventilated seats, dual air vents, and built-in sunshades.
  • Massive Infotainment Screen + Physical Buttons: The large touchscreen is easy to navigate, and the oversized knobs and toggles make adjusting temperature and rear air simple and intuitive. Higher trims also include features like a heads-up display and a digital rearview mirror camera to improve visibility.
  • Bold, Muscular Redesign: The Sequoia has a muscular, commanding presence with strong body lines, large wheels, power running boards, and modern Toyota styling. It looks substantial and upscale, giving it serious road presence compared to many other full-size SUVs
Car Mom Review

The Exterior

Exterior: Muscular & Modern

First things first — this SUV is stunning.

The redesign gave the Sequoia a bold, muscular, commanding presence. It’s not a “tissue box on wheels.” It has strong body lines, a wide stance, and serious curb appeal.

The Platinum trim I drove had:

  • 20-inch wheels
  • Power running boards
  • Blacked-out accents
  • Roof rails
  • Hybrid badging (with that signature blue Toyota logo)

It looks expensive. It feels substantial. It absolutely turns heads.

Hybrid Powertrain

The 2023 Sequoia now comes standard with a hybrid powertrain. Toyota claims up to 22 MPG highway.

In real life?
I averaged closer to 19–20 MPG, especially running A/C during summer driving.

For a full-size SUV, that’s solid — just not quite what the window sticker promises.

No items found.

First Row

What I Love Up Front:

  • Heads-Up Display
  • Full digital gauge cluster
  • Massive infotainment screen
  • Physical climate control buttons
  • Rear climate control button with one-touch access
  • Heated & ventilated seats
  • Wireless charger
  • Auto hold + parking brake
  • Four cup holders within driver’s reach (a non-negotiable for me)

The physical buttons were a surprising highlight. So many brands are burying climate controls into screens, and Toyota kept things simple and user-friendly.

Rear air control? One tap. Done.
No digging through menus.

‍

Visibility: A Small Concern

One thing I noticed immediately: the rear windshield is small.

Add a car seat in the third row, and your visibility out the back becomes limited. Thankfully, Toyota includes a digital rearview mirror camera that gives you an unobstructed view behind the vehicle.

That feature is a must-have in this SUV.

Second Row

Second Row: Spacious & Comfortable

As expected in a full-size SUV, the second row is roomy.

With the driver’s seat set for me at 6 feet tall, I had:

  • Tons of legroom
  • Great headroom
  • Dual ceiling and lower vents
  • Heated and ventilated second-row seats (on Platinum)
  • Built-in sunshades

For older kids or adults? The second row is fantastic.

The Sequoia offers:

  • Captain’s chairs (7 passenger)
  • Bench seat (8 passenger)

The captain’s chairs are the more common setup.

Car Seat Setup: A Major Miss

Here’s where things get complicated.

In the captain’s chairs:

  • Two sets of lower anchors
  • Two top tether anchors

So far, so good.

But in the third row:

  • One top tether anchor
  • No lower anchors
  • That single tether is located in the middle seat

This is a significant limitation.

Why it matters:

  • You need a top tether for forward-facing car seats.
  • With only one tether in the middle, you’re extremely limited.
  • A car seat installed in the center greatly affects rear visibility.
  • The middle seat doesn’t comfortably accommodate wider car seats.
  • You essentially cannot install four car seats in this vehicle.

For a nearly $80,000 full-size SUV, that feels like a big miss.

If you have three or more car seats, this is not the vehicle I would recommend.

‍

Third Row

Third Row: Comfortable — But Complicated

The third row itself is surprisingly comfortable.

With the seat slid all the way back (which reduces trunk space), I had solid legroom even at 6 feet tall. Amenities include:

  • Sunshades
  • Ceiling vents
  • Cupholders
  • Reclining seats

However, here’s the catch:

The second row is not on tracks.
The third row is.

That means:

  • If you want more third-row legroom, you slide the third row back.
  • But sliding it back dramatically reduces trunk space.

I would have preferred adjustable second-row tracks — or ideally both.

Third Row Access

Toyota uses a “flip-and-fold” mechanism for access.

It’s wide, dramatic, and even includes built-in steps — which is great.

The downside?
You have to manually reset the seat back into place after someone climbs in. Not a huge deal, but worth noting.

No items found.

Trunk

The Trunk: The Biggest Letdown

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room.

With the third row up, the trunk space is… small.

Shockingly small for a vehicle this size.

I kept comparing it to vehicles like the Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe, and the Sequoia just doesn’t offer the same usable cargo area.

Toyota added a multi-level shelf system that allows you to:

  • Create two grocery tiers
  • Add dividers
  • Customize storage

It’s clever. I actually used it and liked it.

But the math still doesn’t quite add up.

When you slide the third row forward to increase trunk space, you compromise third-row comfort. When you maximize third-row legroom, the trunk becomes extremely tight.

Even with seats folded, the floor isn’t fully flat. Toyota offers ways to adjust it, but it still feels slightly uneven.

For a family SUV in this price range, I expected more cargo versatility.

The sequoia is a very comfortable full size SUV, that is extremely reliable and a tank in poor weather Pros: -2nd row captains chairs very roomy, and provide easy access to the 3rd row -Hybrid provides power and better fuel economy (but is mostly for power) -very “cool” truck in the TRD Pro package in the limited edition color -very comfortable to drive on a winding mountain highway, as well as on a multi-lane freeway Cons: - TRD Pro has a small lift and roof rack making parking garages mostly inaccessible - 3rd row does not fold flat (due to hybrid battery) and I can’t stand it, such a pain Have only used booster seats in both 2nd and 3rd row, tons of space and easy to install

I had a 2015 Sequoia prior to buying the 2023. I loved the 2015 so much that I couldn’t decide on a new car when it was time because I loved the sequoia, but was ready for more tech. I was so glad when they announced the new ones coming out and didn’t even look elsewhere. The cargo space is not the best, but not because of the battery. It wasn’t amazing cargo space in the 2015 either. I only have two children so the third row is only in use for us if we are hauling extra kids, so cargo wasn’t a deal breaker. A lot of people complain about the second row being stationary and the third row on tracks. The 2015 had the second row on tracks and I think as far as third row room it feels a little tighter than previously (especially if you’re tall), but the second row is so spacious and extremely comfortable. It’s just like sitting in the front! Again, if you have need for third row 100% of the time, you may not be happy with the space there and in the cargo. But for my family of four, I absolutely LOVE the Toyota Sequoia! It drives great, the tech is wonderful without being too much (I like having a volume KNOB and A/C buttons). I do have the Capstone trim so there’s a few extra options, but most of them have everything you’d want. I went with that solely for the two tone interior.

Agonized over this purchase since the new gen Sequoia came out and so glad I finally took the leap with a 2026 Platinum. LOVE how it looks and functions for our family. We have 2 kids (4 and 7) - 4yo in a Nuna Rava, 7yo in a Nuna Lumn. We also have an 85lb dog and we often prefer to drive than fly places. The hate on the trunk almost fully deterred me from this car until I tested it out for myself - I knew it would be okay once I tested it, but still felt like a compromise to get the car I really wanted for other features (sun shades, physical buttons, power running boards, digital rear view mirror, HUD, 360 cameras, hands free tailgate, etc) and the look. But now using it IRL, I actually love the trunk! Keep in mind we don’t use the 3rd row often, but we have fit a surprising amount without even obscuring the back window at ALL. Example pictured: on a road trip to Disneyland, I fit a side by side double stroller, 2 large roller suitcases, one duffle bag, one backpack, a shopping bag with birthday gifts (we went for my son’s bday!), and a small bag of stroller fans with plenty of room to spare. I assumed we’d need to use digital rearview with the shelf up that high to create the flat cargo space, but our cargo didn’t even block the back window AT ALL. Another time, not pictured, I fit my 90th percentile son’s bike (which is almost big enough for myself!) and my daughter’s bike with training wheels with none of the wheels removed. And again - no obstructed view at all. I focused a bit on cargo space here because I think the sequoia gets a ton of hate and wanted to show it can work! We also have used the 3rd row to pick up grandparents and my son from the airport after my son went to visit them - we had 3rd row up for grandparents to sit a giant car seat bag for a Diono radian and 3 roller suitcases in the trunk. I also was a little nervous to park this big girl, but it’s a breeze with the cameras! Anyways - I’m in love and recommend for 2-3 kids! I do wish I could have gotten anything but black interior on the platinum, but minor detail I suppose!

I love the way this car drives, maneuvers, and all of the cameras. It is comfortable. The flaws with this car are the trunk space when the 3rd row is in use, the gas mileage, and the car connect/bluetooth can be finicky if 2 people regularly connect. The gas mileage wouldn’t be such a big deal if they would have put a bigger gas tank in the car.

I love this car for two kids. It rides nice and high and feels very sleek. It is not friendly for more than two kids bc the third row is not great for car seats. The seats in the second row, however, are amazing for car seats with easy to reach lower anchors and great buckles for boosters (IYKYK!). I wish the second row was on a track! The trunk space is awkward but it’s good. I don’t know that I have THAT much more space than my Highlander. I do love the car overall!!

I have three kids all at different stages of life and I am amazed what I’m able to do, pack and haul with this vehicle. It’s also got a lot of cool tools to make this a great mom vehicle for a day out with the kids or for those long road trips.

The worst part is, I watched Kelly’s review on my exact car before buying it! I honestly thought that the negatives she discussed wouldn’t bother me. Boy was I wrong. Lifting a stroller into the raised up trunk/third row - not fun! It also looks like it would have great storage from the size but it’s deceiving and isn’t what I had in my Tahoe. Car seats fit great and we don’t have any issues with the day to day but the turbo battery affects the back more than I thought it would. Drives great but only gets 15mpg which is not great. Overall, I wouldn’t buy it again and my advice would be, listen to Kelly. She knows what she’s talking about

I absolutely love this car for the “fun” and “cool” factor, but it does get a ding when it comes to practicality for a family. This is my third Sequoia since the new body style was released, and Toyota continues to win for me when it comes to reliability. It’s fun to drive, and the captain’s chairs in my TRD are fabulous with my two kids- even when they were both rear-facing. My biggest complaint is the cargo space. If you constantly have a trunk full of stuff, I’d look elsewhere. With the third row up, the trunk is nearly nonexistent. Even with the third row folded, the raised floor design leaves you with such limited vertical space that fitting larger items can still be a challenge. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend the Sequoia for its reliability, fun factor, and family-friendly second row. Just know that cargo space is definitely its weak point.

I love my 2026 Toyota sequoia 1794 edition. It’s luxury feeling with beautiful brown interior. It drives so smooth for being so large. While there isn’t a ton of trunk space with the 3rd row up, it’s extremely roomy with it down. It fits 2 adults, 2 kids in car seats, and everyone’s belongings for a road trip/4 nights away. I would be hesitant to buy this with 3+ young kids due to the trunk, but it is great for 2 kids!

Love the exterior and interior look of the car. It drives great. It works for our family of four. If you are going to use your third row beware there is not much room for cargo when the third row is up. Overall a great car for us.

I absolutely love this vehicle. Even with 4 cards with two in car seats and 2 in booster seats. Do I wish the trunk was just a couple of inches bigger. Yes but everything else in the car is great. I trust the longevity of this car as we’ve owned Toyotas for a long time. I love the way it drives and it works well for our family.

I have the limited trim package. I love the style and rugged look. The rubber floor mats are great for being a soccer mom. The captains chairs are nice since I only have 2 kiddos. But if I had more, I would want the bench in the second row. Those are the “pros”. The cons: There just isn’t enough cargo space because of the batteries. Plus the SUV is so heavy that you really don’t save much on the gas mileage. You lose the benefit of a hybrid. The

I love my Toyota Sequoia. I have 3 kids in car seats with captain chairs. Baby (1) is in nuna rava rear facing behind driver. Four year old is ff nuna rava behind passenger and 6 year old is in high back booster w/harness in the middle of the 3rd row because it’s the only place that allows top tether. Because of the captains, he can easily climb back. He also can unbuckle and buckle himself so that’s a huge bonus. I’m 5”1’ so the vehicle is tall for me to put the other kids in & buckle but I make it work. I did ride in the 3rd row(pushed forward) not the most comfortable but doable. We don’t often drive other people so we leave 3rd row pushed forward to give us a bigger trunk. Which brings me to the biggest downside- the trunk… it’s small and awkward. We still are stroller age so the stroller in the back eats up almost half of the trunk making Costco runs less than fun. I’m often piling groceries in the front seat too. These seem like small inconveniences for me now. We have not done a road trip yet so assuming that will require and outside storage attachment of some sort. Once my boys are older I’m sure they will require more room so not sure how that will play out! For now, I do love it.

I went from a 2010 Toyota Sienna to the 2026 Sequoia. Love the newer exterior. Interior is a major upgrade from my van. I do wish the 2nd row could adjust even a little. 2nd row heat and cooling seats are great. 3rd row is small for teens but there are ways to make it more roomy. Moving 3rd row back (but takes trunk space). I do wish I had more space in the truck but so far we have made it work with many scenarios (5 suitcases, sports equipment, groceries, etc). It has taken some time for me to get use to the hybrid engine and some of the automatic safety features. I know some features can be turned off but wanted to give plenty of time to use and see if I like them. Overall I do love the sequoia, also because of the Toyota reliability. We have owned numerous Toyotas that have gone over 250,000 miles without issue (Tacoma, tundra, sienna). A major con is that I do think they are priced on the higher side.

I have the 2026 Toyota Sequoia - named her Dorothea 🤪 - and absolutely love the look and how it feels to drive. It has more power with the iforce hybrid max engine than I’d know what to do with! I came from a 2021 Tahoe so I obviously notice lack of cargo room. I also am adjusting to a bench second row instead of captains chairs but I love the bench for having to sit out back with my 2 kiddos. The third row is definitely not as comfortable as the tahoes was, however if you aren’t planning to use it every day it is perfectly fine for occasional use. We will just use it for the dog every now and then. The cargo room with the 3rd row down isn’t horrible- just takes some getting used to. I’m leasing and hoping they will redo the interior set up before the next time I am due for a new vehicle. Otherwise, she runs and drives GREAT and I get so many compliments 😍

Absolutely love my car. Super sporty, plenty of power and super comfortable. The two things I wish it had is a bigger trunk and some type of sound relay to the back seat from the front. I feel it’s hard to sit in the 3rd row and communicate with the driver.

I bought the sequoia because we needed a car with a third row with captain seats in the second row . . .preferably for under $80k. It was difficult to find a full size car that was new and met our budget criteria. We instantly regret our purchase. Our MPG is 12.9, the back trunk area is non-existent/doesn’t fit a stroller and the car in general feels like a beast. It does have an amazing turning radius but it does handle in a funky manner when shifting gears on an incline (slips/falls backwards quite a bit) which I have never experienced in any vehicle before. I do not suggest this vehicle at all.

We test drove a 2026 Sequoia as part of our hunt for a new vehicle. I loved the displays and infotainment system was a nice size. I was suprised with the pep of the engine and the throaty sound it made with accelleration all with a V6. The second row had plenty of leg room but my 6'2" husband's head hit the roof of the back seat. I will never be able to get over the major design flaw of the third row not folding flat. Such a shame. They have done what they could with the shelf feature to make it work, however, it is a missed opportunity.

As a Toyota girlie I have owned a Scion TC, two four runners and now this sequoia. I waited for the new design and quickly realized I would have to wait a few years to purchase it pre owned and be more adorable for my family. I love my sequoia and regret nothing. My singular complaint is the trunk space with the third row up is garbage but with enough creativity it works for us. Especially with going three across in the second row, it really hasn’t been an issue unless transporting other kiddos outside of just my family. The design both interior and exterior are clean and I still get the Toyota reliability I’ve come to love.

The Sequoia is a great option for a 2-kid family with a dog that tows. EXTERIOR: The front Air Dam (under the front bumper area) has really low clearance. If you take your Sequoia off road, or into a snow bank, expect that this part will get damaged. Running boards are a must if your kiddos still need help buckling. INTERIOR: Front Row: Sequoia is the same as the Tundra from the front seats forward, so if you're looking for a truck feel with a few more family features, this is a great option. Lots of buttons, pretty simple layout and easy-to-navigate features. Second Row: The Captains seats fit car seats well with plenty of room between a rear facing and the front row. These seats DO NOT SLIDE which isn't great for adults looking for 2nd row leg room. Third Row: Space is less room than the Grand Highlander, but more room than the Highlander. Just fine for the occasional need for a 3rd row, but I wouldn't put big kids back there ALL the time. TECH: The (upgrade) Pano view camera is awesome- for such a big vehicle it really should be standard. No in-vehicle entertainment is a huge miss. The TSS2.5 Safety system in this vehicle is clunky and annoying and you will likely turn it off (lane tracing, lane departure etc). PERFORMANCE: This generation Sequoia has the tendency to get a shake at highway speeds, this is a known issue that is improved from 27 model year on, but is difficult for daily drivers. Without Air suspension, you'll feel the body-on-frame harsh ride. TOWING: She's a beast! Towing is confident and comfortable especially with the air suspension available on higher models. For new-to-towing drivers Sequoia gives a comfortable confident experience with a trailer attached. Overall, I love her. She's a perfect fit for our family (2 kids and a dog) -even if we only get 17mpg.

I am a mom of three - 1 in a car seat and this vehicle work very well for us. The middle row is unmatched in comfort, it feels like a first class seat and arguably has more space than the front row passenger seat. The third row can fit an 11 and 13 year old comfortably. The biggest downside is of course the trunk space, however we are able to slide the third row forward which gives more space and still allows one of my two older children to sit in the middle third row seat comfortably. Additionally because my oldest is a teen when our whole family is not in the car (my husband usually) we are able to lay the third row flat and increase the trunk space by a lot! If I had all three children in car seats this would not be the ideal family vehicle, however with our ages 13, 11, and 3 it's great! The car has great performance, it's a cool exterior to look at, and it has roof racks for additional storage should we want it. It also has towing capability and of course the Toyota reliability - we have had 0 issues in the two years we have owned it this far. We also have the TRD pro package.

The sequoia was a great car, lots of leg space, but the trunk space caused me to pivot to a different vehicle. Because of its V8 engine it was also a gas guzzler!

We drive a 2024 Toyota Sequoia SR5, and we absolutely love it! It’s sporty, fun to drive, and we’ve been very happy with our purchase. With only two kids, we don’t use the third row very often, but we love having the extra seating available when we need it. Overall, it’s been a great vehicle for our family, and we would definitely recommend it!

Love the exterior styling of this car-it's very sporty and the interior is beautiful. I have a Platinum and it really has all the bells and whistles. Where it comes up short is the lack of trunk space when the 3rd row is up. Because of the hybrid battery, the trunk is on 2 levels making it kind of useless. I had a 2011 Sequoia before this and the back was amazing. You could fit so much back there. Especially when the kids were young and I had a grocery order plus stroller. This new one is very limited. I tried a few other cars but kept coming back to this as my kids are older and I get grocery deliveries to the house most of the time. I love everything else about this car except the trunk. I have an 80 lb Bernedoodle and I keep the 3rd row up and he gets in through the 2nd row and goes between the captain's seats to the 3rd row and that seems to work ok for him. I have a weather tech cover over the bench and it keeps it clean.

Okay, it seems like the perfect mom car for the mom who doesn’t necessarily want to drive a “mom car” lol. And I will say, I loved the masculine feel of it, I loved sitting up higher than everyone else, and I definitely enjoyed the head nods/second looks from other families… mainly the dads admiring the car lol. BUT realistically, it’s kind of a pain in my rear. The captain’s seats in the second row are great if you have bigger kids, but car seats just do not fit well. And the third row is honestly kind of a joke. I specifically picked this car because I come from a family of people over 6'2", and a lot of the other typical mom cars didn’t make the cut because they just weren’t big enough for us tall people. But even with this, the third row can MAYBE comfortably fit one person in my family. And don’t even get me started on the trunk space… or lack thereof lol. I think it would actually be a great car later in life when the kids are older, maybe middle school/teenage age and you’re not dealing with car seats, strollers, diaper bags, etc. But for a mom of 2 under 2? Not it. Looks: YES. Practicality: NO.

I absolutely love my Toyota Sequoia! This is actually my second Sequoia, which says a lot about how much I love this vehicle. It’s spacious, comfortable, and works perfectly for our family of four. There’s plenty of room for everyone, and it’s great for everything from everyday driving to family road trips. I love the way it drives, the features, and the overall look and feel of it. It truly checks all the boxes for our family, and I couldn’t be happier with it!

We love our Sequoia! We previously had a Subaru Ascent and enjoyed it, but wanted something bigger-- especially in the driver/passenger seats. We have three kids under 10 and they sit comfortably on the middle row bench. 95% of the time we keep the third row down. We have taken it on lake trips, Disney Trips (with a double BoB), week long beach trips, ski trips, etc and have not had a problem packing ALL the things we need. We do use a Thule roof top carrier for the beach and ski trips. In the event we need to use the third row to take additional children we just throw a booster back there and the kids get in no problem. The key is to not constantly keep so much in the car that you can't put the third row up if need be. We would absolutely buy this car again. Highly recommend.

I love the Toyota Sequoia so much! It's the perfect car for our family of five. Two of our children are out of carseats and one is in a booster. They fight a lot and this spacious interior is such a plus to be able to separate them! The trunk space, while small, has not been an issue even once. The shelving system makes it easy to fit a lot of groceries! (I do have to put the third row down for Costco/Sams runs) It drives like a dream. I can switch between eco, normal and sport mode to my liking. The technology is easy to navigate and not overly complicated. They've pulled out all the right buttons for the heating/cooling. This is my dream car and I love it!

We have a 2023 Toyota Sequoia, and overall it has worked really well for our family. With two older kids, the seating arrangement works out just fine for us. Both of our kids play hockey, so we are constantly traveling with two very large hockey bags, luggage, and all the other gear that comes along with tournament weekends. Space has honestly never been an issue. We’ve always been able to fit everything we need comfortably, which was one of the most important things for us when choosing a vehicle. We also live in the mountains where we get a lot of snow and it handles great in the snow. One complaint from the kids is the second-row captain’s chairs. They both say they are pretty uncomfortable, especially on our longer road trips. Since we spend so many hours in the car traveling, that is definitely something we notice. My biggest disappointment has been the number of little issues we’ve had with the vehicle. For a newer SUV at this price point, I feel like we’ve had more things break or need attention than I expected. I’ve also noticed quite a bit of road and wind noise, especially at highway speeds. I expected the cabin to feel a little quieter and more refined. Overall, I really like the Sequoia for the space, size, and practicality it gives our family. It handles our hockey lifestyle and all the gear that comes with it extremely well. I just wish some of the interior comfort, road noise, and smaller quality issues matched what I would expect from a vehicle in this price range.

I have loved my sequoia! We are a military family and have done a cross country move in it and several 10-12 hour road trips. We are always comfortable and have had ample room for everything packed with us. The only flaw I can find with the sequoia is that if you need to use the third row constantly then the trunk space is a bit tight. That being said, I have never had an issue fitting things we need in the car/trunk when we’re using all three rows. The third row space is also very comfortable for kids and adults. I’m 5’9” and have sat back there comfortably on many occasions. Highly recommend the sequoia!

Children can control too much from the back seats- they can control the rear air (and accidentally hit it with their feet), as well as the recline in the 3rd row. 3rd row car seat comparability is poor. Needs more Forward facing anchors. Happy from a driver standpoint and reliability.

Have driven my Sequoia Capstone for two years now and still love the drive, look, and tech. Hoping to continue to drive as long as possible! Only issues to date: back hatch sensor went out before the one year mark so the only way to close was to push manually which is super heavy. Had it replaced at no cost to use. Lasted about 4-6 months and out again. We don’t live close to a dealer so very inconvenient to take and have fixed. I love the look of the interior (two toned black and white) however some of the white stitching on the backs of the front seats looks dingy from kids hands. Not too bad but wish it were easier to clean. White leather wipes off great. LOVE the middle console between the back seats! Tons of cup storage. Wish the back seat chargers were in the middle console area as opposed to base if the center console to keep cords better located. We don’t use the third row a ton but it is comfortable for adults. Overall I love this car and would buy again over other brand larger SUVs.

I love my Sequoia! I had two 4Runners before it and really liked them, but needed a bigger car when we had a third kiddo on the way. I really liked the updated body style of the Sequoia. We have three kids, one in a rotating car seat, the other two aren’t in car seats anymore. The setup of the car and the third row work beautifully for us. The trunk is small, but we have always been able to fit what we needed, even for road trips. The gas mileage is mid. I am disappointed in the size of the gas tank though - I have to fill up very frequently. The drive is great, it’s very comfortable and spacious. Cup holders are great. I’d buy again!

All the hidden storage in the gem is outstanding! The interior was classy without overdoing it on the tech.

We test drove the Sequoia and were let down by it. The lack of trunk space with the 3rd row up was crazy! We also didn’t like that the 2nd row isn’t on tracks so you can slide forward or back. We also felt visibility was poor out of the windshield.

I think the exterior of this car is so pretty but it feels so crammed inside the car and there’s genuinely no trunk space

The trunk space really broke my heart! I love this car but with 4 kids, the trunk space just wouldn’t work. With all three rows up, it’s next to nothing.

Yes the trunk is small with the 3rd row up. We have a bench in the 2nd row so most of the time we keep the 3rd row down which solves the trunk issue for us. Gas mileage isn’t the best but honestly what large SUV has that. We love the Toyota track record and the peace of mind this car gives our family. We are able to fit Doona and Joie Chili Spin and both driver and passenger have plenty of room.

Love my Sequoia. It has a 60/40 bench that accentuates up to three car seats. We have it set up with two boosters in the third row and RF & FF car seats on the 60% portion of the second row. An adult has plenty of space next to the middle seat car seat. Love the drive - responsive and handles well. We use it to tow our camping trailer and it is easy to tow and handle the camper. Wish it had a little more trunk space but the shelf helps a lot.

I loved this car! (We still own it - my husband drives it now). It was fun to drive and got decent gas mileage for a full size SUV. Car seat set up for 3 kids is easy—although this model year only has a tether on the middle seat in the third row…major con. The car looks great on the road and has been very reliable, we’ve had no issues at all for 70,000 miles now. Second row leg room is amazing and the third row is pretty comfortable as an adult too. The tech is great (although I don’t like that you have to pay Toyota for a subscription for infotainment, but Apple car play works regardless). Obviously the trunk space with the third row up isn’t stellar, but it works for our family and we haven’t had any issues taking road trips with our 3 kids. One incredibly niche complaint is that the cup holders have little tabs on the inside to adjust to the size of your cup/bottle/can and they make a loud clicking noise anytime you pick up your cup—which wakes kids up from naps. Just FYI lol. We will keep this car for a long time though and enjoy it a lot!

My husband and I are 6+ feet tall and are able to have the seats all the way back and have rear facing car seats behind us comfortably (graco slim fit 3lx & Chicco keyfit30). I have the bench and am easily able to do 3 across. While I do wish the trunk space was a tad bigger, I utilize it in my day to day well. With the third row up and pushed forward, I am able to fit my double bob stroller. My 2 dogs (both 75 lbs+) fit comfortably in the 3rd row. When we go camping, we utilize a roof rack to carry all our necessities. We are able to tow well, too! On occasion I pick up nieces/nephews and all are able to fit - may not be the comfiest, but in a pinch everyone is in and safe. Wishes: car seat tilt, better trunk space with 3rd row back.
