2024 Nissan Armada

I know the Armada isn’t for everyone, but we absolutely LOVE ours. If you like driving a bigger vehicle or want the feel of a truck with a V8 engine, need something with towing capacity, and need a spacious setup for your kids, without spending the crazy $65k+ price tag on a Tahoe, this is it. We went with the lowest trim on the 24 so I could get the bench seat and you can easily fit 3 across. The third row is definitely small & limited on legroom, suited for children. For our two toddlers, it is great! Trunk room is spacious with the 3rd row down- haven’t needed the trunk space with it up yet. The ride is so smooth and the seats are incredibly comfortable. One thing I don’t love is that the bench seats cannot be adjusted or “slid” back like most mid-size SUVs with captains chairs, but that was something that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Gas mileage isn’t ideal, but we really wanted it to be able to have a second vehicle with towing capabilities for our boat/camper. I preferred the Armada over the tighter/smaller feel of the Telluride, Pilot, etc. I love it more everyday! P.S. I know they’re not your favorite Kelly, but some of us do love them! 🤣

We wanted a full size SUV without the Tahoe price. This felt luxurious (had the platinum trim) and had great performance in town and on highways. We grew with this car - from infant seats, to convertables, to boosters and all fit fantastically. It had decent storage with the 3rd row in use (plenty for family of 4 roadtrips). My only complaint was that the front sensors would beep when driving in snow.

I had an Expedition previously and loved the functionality but had SO many mechanical issues. It was in the shop one too many times, so we traded it in and I was very nervous nothing would compare! We've been pleasantly surprised and my husband and I both love my Armada SO much! We're not even 5 months in, but so far no issues and the only complaint has been from my kids as passengers in the second row. No one really wants the middle seat in the second row. But it feels roomier to us than my 2019 Expedition did and is so much prettier inside, the tech is great. Drives beautifully and turns heads when I pull into places since it sort of looks like a Range Rover and people have not seen them much at this point!

For a family of 4 this is a great full size SUV. 3rd row is an option if we are carting around extra kids, but if we needed to regularly utilize the 3rd row for our immediate family, it would not work. The trunk space is very small if the 3rd row is up. It is comfortable to drive/ride in. I test drove some other larger SUVs that felt more like a truck whereas the Armada doesn't. It beeps or buzzes over everything. I know those are safety features but they are excessive. The back up camera is great. I have the top trim and the heated seats/steering wheel are so nice.

I like the way the car looks, and although I don’t like the gas mileage, I knew that part going in. What I didn’t know going in is that the radio would be so glitchy it would have to be replaced, two of the four power door locks would eventually stop working, the window washer sensor would quit working, and the battery would die prematurely thanks to the “smart alternator.” The first and second rows are spacious and comfortable, but the third row and trunk are pretty worthless. My kids literally fight over who has to sit in the third row because they all hate it. First of all it’s small and uncomfortable with very little leg room, and there are also no charging ports back there, so we have to take a long one from the front or second row and snake it back there. I also hate having friends come and sit in the middle of the third row because there’s no head rest for safety back there. Now that one kid is off to college, though, and most of the time there are just two kids home, it’s not as much of an issue, but we still have everyone for vacations and some other trips, and the space and set-up for having 3 or more “big kids” is less than ideal. I’m also very annoyed that the power locks stopped working shortly after the warranty went out as did the window washer fluid sensor. The glitchy radio was replaced under warranty, and is still occasionally glitchy, but much better than the first radio was. I will have this car until it dies though, because that’s what we do, so just going to li with those things. It’s still a nice car, but I wouldn’t recommend it for more than 2 kids, and also wouldn’t recommend it because of the problems we’ve had.

The bucket seats in the second row with a console between has been convenient when I only have my 2 kids. However, I often have at least one extra child riding with us, so I have to put at least one seat up in the third row. There’s very little storage for loose things in the front row (keys, wallet, chapstick, etc.). This has been my biggest complaint. Even just a small cubby to put things in would be so nice. Overall, I love the exterior style, but I am one of MANY in the car rider line at school. :)

The gear shift always was loud and clunky going in reverse if on any incline or hill. Then our transmission went out. Could only go forward no reverse. That was after about 4.5 yrs. Otherwise we like the suv. It’s big! Rides nice and high up but a challenge to park, especially in parking garages. No CD or DVD player is a bummer. We really missed that after having a Nissan Quest with DVD and CD player. Looks really classy. Great for road trips. Not as great on gas mileage but a good ride.
