2023 Volvo XC40

Loved this car. We had the all electric and it was a great intro to electric vehicles. The range was good. Car was sporty to drive and had a ton of great safety features.

As a mom of 1 living in an urban area, I absolutely loved the Volvo XC40. Extremely comfortable ride, reliable, amazing technology (the 360 cam is my absolute favorite feature), top of the line safety features, feels extremely luxurious without the heafty price tag of other luxury cars in the same size, and really great trunk space for only having 1 kid. Now that I have become a mom of 3 (just delivered twins), we are in the market for moving from the small size SUV to midsize SUV (since we still live in an urban area moving up to full size just doesn’t make sense for now for parking reasons/ease of getting around day to day). Unfortunately, I cannot imagine getting around day to day comfortably with 3 rear facing car seats & the trunk feels like it will now be much too small.

The volvo xc40's two rear seats are wider than our xc90's seats so they fit the Clek booster better and it is easier for our 6-year old to buckle. I think this is because the XC90 prioritized having actually 3-across seating that works in the second row and the XC40 is really only for two in the second row.
