2023 Audi Q5

The exterior sporty-ness of this car is fantastic. It is NOT tall mama or RF carseat friendly. I feel like the front driver & passenger seats are incredibly narrow and the second row leg room & RF carseat room is tight with a tall driver / passenger. The technology is fine. I like that I have both buttons and a track pad. I think the charging pad is terrible and the storage in the center console is small. The car handles nicely, but without sun shades or ceiling vents + lack of second row space and hip space in the front, this car is a pass for me!

This vehicle isn’t meant for the combo of tall people and car seats. With our rear facing seat behind the passenger, the chair has to be pushed up very close to the dashboard. Neither my husband (6ft 1) nor I (5 ft 8) can fit there, and there’s minimal room behind the driver seat to sit in the back next to the baby. No rear ceiling air vents and poor circulation in the back. I can drive myself and the baby but no other passengers, and minimal cargo room for the stroller. I’m looking to upgrade!

We purchased this car prior to having kids. Once we had my son the car became very small. Our stroller takes up 3/4s of the trunk space. The backseat middle seat is extremely uncomfortable. With a carseat in, and there is barely any leg room for the front passenger seat. One other thing I never thought about prior to having kids is overhead vents which the Audi doesn't have. My baby gets really hot back there if the AC isn't blasting and running the whole time on max. Technology wise, we've had the CarPlay glitch in and out too many times to count and Audi's navigation system is so ridiculous in this Q5 because it has a touch pad and you need to draw out the address on the touch pad for directions, making it really complicated in a time crunch. Overall we love how it looks and how it drives but I would say this is not the best family car.

Love my Q5 but has felt much tighter since adding a RF car seat. My husband is 6’3 and cannot ride in front of the car seat. I’m 5’5 and can but get that knees to chest sensation with the dash! Overall car is great for FTM if you already have it but wouldn’t seek it out if you need RF seats! The car has been reliable, has apple car play and enough basic tech and safety features.

Absolutely loved my Q5 - It was such a joy to drive! It was a great car with 1 kid, but it became very snug with 2 kids. The technology could have used a refresh for the year I had. Unfortunately, despite regular upkeep and maintenance, it ended up having a handful of mechanical issues around 120k miles. So we opted to buy something new, but I will always love how this car drove!

This car was great for one kid but felt very tight with two kids in car seats. I loved the drive of it, but technology was a bit out of date. Would probably work great for kids not in car seats. Good trunk space.

2025 Audi - website will not let me enter this correct model year. My MIL drives this car and uses it with a carseat for my daughter at least weekly. The car seat is a Chicco Fit 360 and the passenger seat must be moved up to the point it is uncomfortable in order for the car seat to fit properly in the second row. Second row is fairly small regardless, but a different car seat could make the space work better. Beautiful car and ample trunk space. Technology does not seem amazing but the car does have a rather sporty vibe.
