The car itself drives great and we love the features of the Tesla! With two rear facing car seats, space is quite limited. My husband is 6’1” and I’m 5’4” and our seats are set the same when we’re driving in order for the drivers seat to not touch the car seat behind us - so he is pretty squished when driving. The doors don’t open a full 90 degrees, which is annoying trying to get an infant seat in the car, but I haven’t noticed it as much after switching to a convertible car seat. There is solid trunk space but I do not think we could fit a 3rd child, and cannot really fit an adult in the back seat with the two car seats, either. You could squeeze but only if you’re small. We love the Tesla but are definitely outgrowing it with 2 children!

Overall, this has been a great car for our family. The infant car seat and convertible car seat are both a little tight if you are a tall driver. We do not have a forward facing car seat yet, so we cannot speak to tethering easy or capability. You do have to lean down quite a bit to get your child into the car seat, but I expect that would be similar for any sedan type car. Some technology does not come standard and requires an upgrade.

Such a fun driving experience with the model 3 performance edition! The back seat is spacious for our middle school aged children but never had any issues using a booster seat either. The technology in the car makes it a great drive for everyone and the zero maintenance we’ve had to do in the last 3.5 years makes it a great car to keep around. We can go about 2.5 hours on the highway before needing a charge so not the best for road trips but as a daily commuter car it’s been perfect for us. The trunk is plenty big for being a small car and it holds a charge great in the spring/summer/fall in New England. Just like me we don’t winter well but once you get used to losing extra percentages points in the winter months it’s easily adaptable.
