I initially bought this car because of the mid-size and the smooth drive and was not thinking about car seats or passenger space at the time. 5 years and 3 kids later, we all fit and I [overall] still love this car! From a performance and reliability standpoint, it continues to exceed expectations. I have put on a majority of the miles from highway driving and even my husband will comment on the smooth ride when we take my car. I rated technology 4/5 stars because the navigation was an upgradable package and I didn’t think it was necessary when I use my phone for directions. It’s easy to navigate the touch screen by touching the screen or using the mouse pad. In my opinion, the little mouse pad on the steering wheel is touchy and doesn’t always pick up my swipes. For a family with three kids, a very tall husband, and a dog, the car fits us all but the trunk space is very tight if you’re packing for a trip or hauling bikes to the park. (In fact, take a bigger vehicle!) For a luxury mid-size car- I have had no red flags and would recommend this to anyone with 2 (or less) kids.

GLC

The GLC is comfortable for our family with one young child. Installing the car seat base was remarkably straightforward. The lower LATCH anchors are easily accessible, making base set-up stress-free. Fitting an infant seat like the Doona is completely doable, but legroom clearance depends heavily on front-passenger height. If you or your partner are on the shorter side, the front seat will likely touch the back of the Doona when adjusted comfortably. Taller parents may find their legroom compromised. The rear doors do not swing open exceptionally wide. While maneuvering a Doona or standard infant carrier in and out is manageable, wider-opening doors would make daily loading slightly smoother. The back seat comfortably accommodates up to two car seats. However, the middle seat becomes small with two car seats installed. The trunk handles daily essentials well, easily fitting a stroller base alongside a bassinet attachment. Once a full stroller system and bassinet are loaded, the trunk is virtually full. There is limited remaining space for large groceries, luggage, or bulky outdoor gear. For our family of three, the cabin is cozy and quiet with just enough space. The driving experience is smooth and comfortable for daily errands and short trips. Maintenance is low-stress and straightforward, and the vehicle has proven dependable for everyday family life.
