I have the Titanium trim package so it has a lot of nice 2018 features. The touchless trunk opener is really great for when my hands are full with all the kid things. It has a giant sunroof which amazingly isn’t loud at all from the wind. It’s a really smooth ride with very little road noise. My car seats are a Graco TurboBooster 2.0 booster seat for my 8 year old and a Chicco KidFit ClearTex high back booster seat for my almost 6 year old. Both seats fit extremely well and are easy for the kids to buckle themselves. Cons - The heated/cooling seat function is going out on the drivers side. And this past week the turbo went out so it struggles to get power when accelerating. Luckily we negotiated a lifetime power train warranty when we bought it so the dealership will fix it. We do have to still pay a diagnostic fee and a deductible which will total about $400. In doing more research, the 2 liter engine in this model seems to be notorious for having problems. The cup holders fit most water bottles and tall skinny tumblers. Open coffee mugs are a little trickier.

Great dad car! My husband has been driving a Ford edge for the past 6 years and it has been great as a dad car as our family has grown. We are able to fit 3 across pretty comfortably and still have a great big trunk space. Seats are comfortable, it drives comfortably and doesn’t guzzle gas. We’ve had very few issues with the car even though we bought it used. Only wish it had better tech but a newer model would. Really wish Ford hadn’t discontinued this car, it’s a comfortable and affordable mid size suv option even more families with 3 kids. Would recommend as a dad car or for families with 2 kids.

I owned this car when I had our first and second kids. I love this car but had to sell it when we were having our third kid in 3 years since I could no longer fit 3 across. It drives really nice and feels so maneuverable but there is still able leg room in the second row and a huge amount of trunk space for the size of the car. I loved the technology in the car and though it functioned so well for our smaller family at that time. No issues with reliability during the time I owned the car.

My husband has this as his work car, but we also use it for longer trips with our 2 kids (and sometimes our dog, too). We have one child in a forward facing car seat, and an infant in an Uppababy Mesa infant carrier. There is plenty of room in the 2nd row and the trunk is very spacious. I don't love the base model fabric, and am not super impressed with the climate controls.

First, I will say I've had 3 Ford Edges and I was extremely sad to see it leave Ford's lineup. Second, I also owned all 3 of them prior to having kids, but used my current one as my primary vehicle after my first was born. Pros: easy to drive, comfortable, large windshield (my favorite part), plenty of trunk space (for a single stroller), and it's fuel efficient-ish (it's better than our other two cars). Cons: the dang infotainment center - WHY does the climate control have to be on there?! that has been my #1 complaint the entire time I've owned the car, and it's tight with 2 car seats in the back seat. I've never had any issues with this car. I sized up after my second baby was on the way because my Chicco Cortina double stroller took up the entire trunk and left very little room for anything else. I'd 100% recommend a Ford Edge to anyone with only one child.

Before buying this car in July 2026, I owned a 2013 Chevy Malibu…so everything on this vehicle is a huge upgrade. I especially enjoy the large video display, moon roof, trunk space for a mid-size vehicle, being able to start and lock/unlock the car from the Ford mobile app, and rear-view camera (obviously). However, I don’t like the rotary gear shift dial or the size of cup holders in the doors, and wish the there were ceiling vents in the backseat for our baby. Overall a great value mid-size SUV though for parents with 1-2 children.

Overall a good car. Trunk space isn’t bad but second row is tighter with two kids. I have an SEL but it has extra upgrades like larger wheels, heated mirrors, etc. The only issue is that this vehicle has rear end issues and mine is going! YAY! lol

I loved my Edge! It was easy to install a car seat and always comfortable to drive. We upgraded before we had more than one car seat, but I imagine with two it would have been just as comfortable. The trunk space was always great for the size of the car.

It’s truly a shame that Ford stopped making this car because it is truly a powerhouse mom car! With my two kids (6 & 1.5) in car seats, one in a booster and one still rear facing there is still plenty of space in the second row. They aren’t squished next to each other and my husband has plenty of room in the passenger seat with my rear facing car seat behind him. He is 5’10’’ for reference. The trunk is also massive! Plenty of space to hold my stroller and a Costco haul. It is super easy and comfortable to drive. The Apple Car Play is great and even though the climate control is on the touch screen it isn’t a pain to control. Although I do wish the cup holders in the door were a little bit larger the main cup holders in the front are fantastic and hold my Hydrojug no problem.

I bought this car as a senior in college with a 70lb dog and it was perfect for us. It got me through moving 3 times and being pregnant with my first baby. The infant seat fit behind the drivers seat okay, but was a little tight. Once we moved to the Chicco 360 seat, it got very tight in the back seat. I'm 5'5 and my knees hit the dash when I scoot up far enough to let the car seat rotate completely. It has served me well and only one very minor mechanical problem since I bought it that cost less than $200 to repair.

Mom review of the 2024 Ford Edge 👏🏼 We recently got a 2024 Ford Edge and so far I really love it! As a mom with a toddler, I wanted something that was comfortable, safe, had plenty of room, but wasn’t huge like a 3-row SUV. The backseat has plenty of room for a car seat, and there’s still tons of space for the stroller, diaper bag, groceries, etc. I also really like how easy it is to get my daughter in and out without feeling cramped. It drives really smooth and feels comfortable for everyday driving, commuting, errands, and longer trips. The Apple CarPlay and big screen are a nice bonus too. I was originally looking at several different SUVs, but the Edge ended up being a really good balance of size, comfort, features and price for our family. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it to another mom looking for a midsize SUV!

The Ford Edge is an amazing car for moms of 1-2 kids! It gets a little tight for 3 across, but it has been doable for our family for the past 5 months.

I loved my 2016 Ford Edge until I didn’t. It was an incredible car for someone with up to 2 kids. The trunk space was perfect. The technology was great for how old the car was. It’s incredibly comfortable. It was not great for three across for a booster, FF and one RF. However, we still planned to keep it as my husbands car when we found out we were going to have a third baby. However, the MOMENT it turned 10 years old. Everything changed. I promise you, Jan 1, 2026, it started breaking down quickly. So many problems and we were sinking so much money into it. I mean, the value has dropped down to $1500 for the car it’s so bad. So I highly recommend this for a mom of 2 or less or even for a mom of three if one kid has outgrown a booster. But just sell it before it turns 10 years old.

I can fit 3 across in my Edge and I actually like being able to bunkle kids from the driver's seat. My kids have enough leg room and like being able to reach them to pass snacks. I use a maxi cosi infant base, and clek foonf for my toddlers. My only gripe about the technology was I wish the AC had actually buttons/knobs vs being on the iPad screen. The trunk is incredibly spacious and I can fit a stroller (or a double stroller) as well as a grocery haul etc. we've taken this car plenty on road trips and can fit our dog crate plus our luggage in the back.

This car has been a Fantastic secondary car for our family. We are able to fit all 3 of our children(9, 6 & 2) in the 2nd row comfortably. It has great trunk space and for a mid-size SUV I would highly recommend for someone looking for this size vehicle.

We absolutely loved our Ford Edge! It was a great fit for our family when we first had our twins. The cargo space was especially helpful during the baby years, with plenty of room for strollers, diaper bags, and all the extras that come with having two little ones. It was also a smooth, comfortable drive and had a nice ride height that gave us a good view of the road without feeling too large. Overall, it was a great family vehicle and served us very well during that stage of life. The only drawback for us was the back seat. Since we often had an extra person riding with us, having someone sit between the two car seats wasn’t very comfortable. Aside from that, we really enjoyed the Edge and would definitely recommend it for a young family.

We loved this car. We had it for 2 years with one child and it met all of our needs. The main reason we got a new car was because it had inflatable seatbelts, so beware of that when looking at Ford Edges made in 2016. The inflatable belts really limited car seat choices and arrangements. It was such a reliable car and the heated seats were amazing- way better than my 2020 Enclave’s heated seats. I owned my Edge for 5 years (‘19-‘24) and it was never in the shop for any reason other than an oil change!

Leased an Edge for 2 years. It worked great for 1 kid that’s all I had at the time. I could see how three could work, but it would be tight. Large spacious trunk. The only thing I don’t like about the Edge is the front side windshield blind spot. It’s just the shape of the car but it was hard to get used to. Never had any issues with the motor or car while I leased.

About the only thing this car has going for it is the second row and trunk space. I find the rest of it to be just ok. The technology is a little lackluster. There’s a giant iPad style screen and everything is controlled from the touch screen. I hate not having buttons for my air controls. It’s also just excessively big. The vehicle performance is average.

We recently sold this car due to a coolant system leak, but the car had 198000 miles. We had it pre kids and through our kids to ages 4 and 7. The car seat setup is very simple. There is decent leg room in the 2nd row. I am 5’7” and could easily fit a fully reclined nuna rava behind the driver seat and my son could climb under/around to get to his seat. We could fit someone small between car seats in the back, but it wasn’t comfortable for long distances. Trunk space is great. Could easily fit tons of luggage plus Christmas gifts when we visited family. I think it is a great car for up to 2 kids. I don’t think 3 across would be possible in any combination.

I had this car from 2017-2023 and it was great. It was the perfect size for adding my first kid and my 2nd kid. Plenty of trunk space and it felt really solid and safe. This care drove really well and I had not issues with it mechanically. This would be a great car for a teen or a family with 1 or 2 young kids.
