2021 Toyota Sienna

Features We Love
  • The hybrid is the headline! The Sienna is only available as a four-cylinder hybrid for 2021, which means amazing gas mileage (mid-30s MPG), especially for around-town driving, but you do give up some power at highway speeds compared to the Odyssey or Pacifica for the 2021 model year.
  • This minivan feels like a living room. The interior is spacious, open, and comfortable, with long sliding second-row seats that make car seat access and daily use really easy, even without a traditional car-seat-friendly tilt.
  • Strong car seat flexibility, especially with seat belt installs. Because the seat belts are attached to the seats instead of the ceiling, you can slide the second-row seats forward and back even with a car seat installed, which helps with third-row access
  • Third-row amenities are a big win. Ceiling vents, sunshades, cup holders, and good car seat hardware make the third row genuinely usable, not just an afterthought
  • Well equipped, but it gets expensive fast. The Platinum trim is loaded with features and beautiful inside, but the price climbs quickly, and some of the most exciting features like the fridge and vacuum aren’t included unless you add additional packages.
Car Mom Review

The Exterior

The 2021 Toyota Sienna has been completely redesigned from the inside out, and you can really see that in the exterior. Toyota raised the hood line to give it more of an SUV look, and from certain angles, I actually think it looks really nice. The front end is very aggressive and it’s not really doing it for me, but I do love the chrome roof rails, window trim, and door handles. From the back, the taillights give me total Lexus RX vibes, which makes sense since Toyota owns Lexus.

First Row

The first row of the Sienna feels really open and well designed, with nice contrast between the lighter leather, brown accents, wood-grain trim, and chrome details. I love the layout of the dash and screen, and I appreciate having physical buttons up top instead of everything buried in the touchscreen.

You get heated and ventilated seats in the Platinum trim, which is a big comfort win. And the cup holder situation is honestly amazing, four up front alone, plus side cubbies, which is exactly what I want as a mom.

‍

Second Row

The second row in the Toyota Sienna is extremely spacious and very practical for families using car seats. The  sliding seats make daily access easy, and overall it’s a setup that feels flexible without being complicated.

  • The second-row seats slide a long way forward and back, which makes car seat installs and third-row access much easier, even without a traditional car-seat-friendly tilt.
  • Third-row access is straightforward. Because the seats slide so far forward and the seat belts are attached to the seats (not the ceiling), I can move the seat out of the way even with a car seat installed using the seat belt.
  • Lower anchors are easy to find thanks to clear cutouts in the seat, which makes installs quicker and less frustrating.
  • Legroom back here is out of control (in a good way), and there’s plenty of space to work around bulky convertible and rear-facing car seats.
  • Second-row amenities include cup holders, ceiling vents, USB ports, HDMI for the rear entertainment system, and an outlet, which is especially nice for pumping moms.
  • One downside with the Platinum trim is that it’s only available in the brown interior, so you don’t get color options at this price point.

Overall, the Sienna’s second row is easy to live with and very car-seat friendly, especially if you’re using seat belt installs. The long slide and ceiling vents make this row comfortable and practical for everyday family life.

Third Row

The third row in the Toyota Sienna is surprisingly comfortable and well equipped. I love that you get real ceiling vents back here, along with cup holders and the cutest little sunshades, which are standard. Car seat flexibility is solid, with lower anchors on the outboard seats and tether anchors across the back. Overall, it feels like a usable, kid-friendly space and not just an afterthought.

Trunk

The trunk space in the Toyota Sienna is deep and really well sized. I fit my Uppababy Vista stroller back here easily, and I didn’t even have it fully collapsed. The seats fold smoothly into the trunk to open up a ton of cargo space, and it’s honestly very easy to do. This is the kind of trunk that actually works for strollers, groceries, and everyday family hauling.

Safety

The 2021 Sienna performs well in crash testing, earning a 5-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and is a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS.

Seat belt pretensioners are included for the driver and front passenger only. Pretensioners remove slack from the seat belt in the nanoseconds before a crash, improving restraint effectiveness in frontal and near-frontal impacts. If these are important to you, they can be found in the outboard second row seats for model years 2022 and onward.

ADAS - Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems

The 2021 Sienna comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist.

Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert is standard across all trims.

You also get a backup camera. Higher trims add parking sensors and available surround-view camera systems.

‍

Car Seat Setup

The 2021 redesigned Toyota Sienna is now a hybrid-only minivan that can fit families of 7 or 8, but not without some car seat challenges. There is a lot of flexibility with placement of lower anchors and tether anchors, but the small center seat and third row seat cut-outs are limiting. The third row is not three-across-friendly for three harnessed car seats.

There are also very specific rules about the seatback recline angle when installing car seats. Refer to your owners manual for guidance and note that the second and third row are different.

LATCH

In the second row, there is a full set of LATCH (lower anchors and tether anchor) in every seating position.

The third row includes a full set of LATCH in the outboard positions. But then the center seat has a tether anchor and only one lower anchor.

That single lower anchor for 3C is designed to pair with a single lower anchor from 3D which makes one standard-spaced (11”) lower anchor set. However, if you use LATCH in 3C that renders 3D unusable for any occupant due to belt overlap.

The lower anchors are accessible and not deeply buried in the seat bight, which makes installation easier even for frequent seat swaps or baseless installs.

Belt Buckles

The seat belt buckles in the second row are upright and accessible. They can flex on their hinges up and down depending on your car seat installation. The second row center seat’s buckle is partially overlapped with the lower anchors, limiting booster use with LATCH - though booster use is dramatically limited regardless due to the narrow seating width.

In the third row, the buckles are rigid and recessed in 3D and 3C. They may be harder to access when car seats or boosters are installed which can impact independent buckling for older kids. 3P’s buckle is able to flex up and down like the second row buckles.

Seat Shape

The Sienna’s second row center seat is extremely narrow and more shallow than the outboard seats. While three across is possible with the right seats, it’s not easy.

The third row outboard seats are contoured so the front outside edges of the seats have less depth than the inside edges do. This contributes to overhang for almost all car seats and boosters. Verify if your seat has overhang or not. If it does, make sure it’s permitted in your car seat’s manual.

The third row center seat is a normal depth but is narrow so car seat selection is limited here as well.

Head Restraints

The head restraints are adjustable and removable in the second row. The third row outboard head restraints are not removable or adjustable. They are flush and do not protrude forward, so they don’t end up causing a gap for many car seats.

Forward-facing car seats and boosters may achieve a more flush installation when head restraints are adjusted or removed (if permitted by the vehicle manual). Most booster seats do not allow a gap caused by head restraints, so positioning should be checked carefully for each seating location.

Three Across Considerations

For a minivan, three across is particularly challenging. If three across with sliding doors is your goal, I’d look elsewhere. If you already own the Sienna, there are combinations to make it work!

In most cases, seats will need to be 17–18 inches wide or less, but successful combinations depend more on seat shape than width alone.

The center seat is best suited for infant seats or narrow convertibles with compact bases.

Good options include:

Britax Poplar (has side overhang, but the “runners” or feet underneath the base, make contact with the vehicle seat)
Graco SlimFit3 LX (True3Fit)
Chicco Fit3X
Evenflo All4Stages Slim Plus Canopy

For a booster option, the Peg Viaggio Flex 120 fits snugly here too (as does booster mode of the all-in-one car seats listed above.)

For the third row, three of the ultra narrow Graco SlimFit3 LX 3 in 1 car seats did not install without significant overhang in 3D. If you need to fit three children in the back, the Ride Safer Travel Vest may be the only option for some set-ups. A narrow backless booster seat like the Cosco Rise gives more flexibility than a harnessed car seat.

If you’re attempting a three-across setup, it’s often easiest to install the center seat first, followed by the outboard seats. Always verify each seat is independently tight (moves less than 1” at the belt path even when adjacent seats are removed).

Rear-Facing and Legroom

The Sienna offers excellent rear passenger space, especially in the second row. The second row sits on tracks that can move all the way forward or back, right up against the third row. If you don’t have third row passengers and need the space, you have it! If you plan to have both second and third row passengers, there is ample legroom to still fit a compact rear-facing seat in the third row and a bulkier, rotating seat in the second row.

I had a love/hate relationship with the Sienna and it was only because I hated driving a minivan. I drove it for 5 years and never fell in love with it, we just weren't soulmates! That being said, the Sienna is probably the most practical and reliable car I have ever owned. This car easily fit my 4 kids and 3 "big" adults. I liked that we could take out the 2nd row middle seat and make it like captains chairs. The middle seat in the 3rd row is NOT comfortable for long rides. We could have a full car and have all of the luggage packed in the trunk. Unmatched cargo space and just overall space, never needed to use the roof racks. Loved all the cupholders. Entertainment - up to the point I traded it in in 2026 I was happy with it. The screen was big, it had carplay, physical climate controls. My only complaint is no wireless carplay. MPG. This was my biggest "pro" and I very consistently got at LEAST 29 mpg in the city, sometimes better! I averaged about 32 mpg in general, but depending on the drive I could get up to 40, or down to 30. Either way, excellent. Performance also excellent for a hybrid vehicle! Had SO much "get up and go"! but.. still a minivan LOL! We bought this car in 2021 when I newly had 3 children and knew we would likely go on to have 4. I drove it until 2026 when I traded it for an SUV. I had at most bulky an infant seat, convertible seat, and 2 boosters with room to grow!

I love my sienna! This is the second minivan that I’ve owned, and my first sienna. I love that this car is a hybrid. It’s so quiet, so smooth, and uses so little gas! It drives like a cloud. It has so many cup holders, it fits all of my beverages. There are literally 6 standard cup holders and 2 door cup holders that I can reach from the driver’s seat. The technology is great and super seamless. This car has NO glitches. I’ve had it for 2.5 years and had no issues with it whatsoever. The reason I gave it 4/5 stars for interior styling is that I got the platinum trim, which is the highest level trim, and there is only one option for the interior color, which is a very dark brown. It is a nice color, but I really prefer light interior colors, so I feel like on the platinum level they should have two colors to choose from. The reason I gave it four out of five stars on the exterior styling is that it’s a minivan. I know a lot of people think minivans are not cool so that’s kind of a given. But do you know what IS cool? Saving tons of money buying a minivan and not a huge SUV!!!

We own the hybrid option. The hybrid model allows me drive a ton without having to fill up often. It’s been great for long travel! We love the removal seat in the middle row. The amount of cup holders in the front is chefs kiss! I wish there was wireless Apple car play. The large dash that connects to the cup holders and console makes the front feel a bit crowded. We have had zero mechanical issues or electronic issues so far. We are very happy with the Sienna!

I always said “I will not be a minivan mom” but here we are loving our minivan! My husband had our platinum trim “blacked out” and it definitely helped make it feel sportier and less “minivan”-like. Some of our favorite things: hybrid (game changer), leg room in every seat, interior style (more luxury feeling than other minivans) countless ways to open sliding doors (buttons inside, buttons on handle, hands free kick), and all wheel drive. Some things we don’t dislike, but think could improve: tech (we went for reliability with Toyota, but wireless CarPlay would be nice) and access to 3rd row. Overall, highly recommend. It drives incredible, fits our family of 4 (and growing) comfortably, and we save A LOT of money on gas with the hybrid. I joke that I’ll be an SUV mom once my kids are older, but honestly… I’d drive this thing forever! Hoping to drive this until the wheels fall off.

I was extremely anti-minivan for most of my adult life until I had 2 children, we had a mid-sized SUV and I suddenly felt like there was zero room especially if we were also bringing grandparents with us, etc. We initially test-drove a Honda Pilot, Toyota Grand Highlander and Hyundai Palisade and I was not loving any of those (We really wanted a car with 3 rows + Hybrid + AWD). Finally my husband said I should at least TRY to test drive a Sienna. Thankfully I did and we both decided it was by far the best option. Tons of trunk space, tons of room in both 2nd and 3rd rows, all 3 seats in the third row have tethers, etc. And my favorite part is I can drive over 500 miles without having to fill up the car again! I also love that it's not tooo tech-y, I felt like the Palisade was very tech-y and that it might distract me while driving.

I love my Toyota Sienna! Once I accepted my fate that a mini van was the most functional option for our life stage, I haven’t looked back and rave about it to anyone who will listen. First off- the hybrid feature is incredible and saves us a ton of money on fuel. I drive all over and fill up about once a month - the hybrid feature loves stop and go traffic and most of my driving these days is around town - less highway time. My children are now 10, 7, and 3 so I have had many combinations of infant seats, convertibles, and boosters in there over the last several years. A RF seat in the third row would be tricky - we have always kept the oldest in the back in a booster seat. We have extra adults from time to time and I have sat in back on road trips - no complaints about comfort. The trunk is spacious and fits all our sporting equipment and beach trip supplies now. We used to fit our double Bob stroller very regularly as well. I have no complaints and plan on driving this as long as I possibly can! Once you’ve experienced the sliding door convenience, nothing compares.

Mom of 3 boys (7, 5, and 3). This is the ultimate family vehicle! I have the 8-seater and we have done many different carseat configurations. Most frequently we do 3 across (booster behind passenger, forward facing Graco Slimfit lx3 in the middle, rear-facing Extend2Fit behind driver). We also have a backless booster on the driver side in the third row. We are a family of 5 but regularly drive 2 neighbors to school. They climb in through the trunk with the smaller side folded down and sit in the middle seat and the booster in the back. This works great and we keep a blanket on the seat folded down so they don't track mud. When we aren't car-pooling this car works great for all of the sports gear (we have 2 who play baseball and its a lot of gear). When we roadtrip we fold the third row flat and can fit bikes for the three boys, a pack 'n' play, and 5 suitcases with room to spare for a cooler or anything else we need. Can't imagine life without this car!

First, you must know we’re a Toyota family. So much so that our forklift at our family business is a Toyota, our shop truck is an 89 Land Cruiser and this 2025 Sienna is our 9th Toyota vehicle purchase. We knew when we bought it we were paying for longevity and sacrificing a bit on interior comfort. The faux leather on the seats has already come undone in a few spots and been warrantied by Toyota. The tech has some bugs to work out still… it’s always telling us we’ve left a kid in the car, failed to close a door or left the car unlocked. None of which is ever true, (face palm.) Kelly points out in a couple of her reviews that the approach angle is awkward in the second row when standing outside the car and trying to unbuckle a rear facing child. I’m taller at 6’3 and I still think it’s tricky to buckle and unbuckle my rear facing 3yr old. Gas mileage has also been drastically lower than I had expected. We’re averaging 25 highway and 21 city with the 4cyl hybrid. All in all though we love the van and plan on keeping it until our kids are much older.

Never thought I’d be a minivan mom but purchased the Sienna before having my 3rd and I love it! Truly makes me feel invincible when I take my 3 kiddos out with so much room for them to be comfortable and wait for me as I’m loading or unloading the car for whatever adventure out we have going on that day. Also- the sliding doors really are a game changer! The kids love it and honestly it’s a nice drive and very comfortable, so we are all happy!

This is my parents car, I have been a passenger many times as well as driven. It drives very smoothly, it’s a little loud in the backseat compared to my newer Toyota but there is plenty of room in the second and third rows. We have taken this car on plenty of road trips and the gas mileage is crazy, 33 mpg. The seats are comfy and can fit plenty of car seats.

This is our 2nd minivan - for families with more than 2 kids I really believe minivans are the best! This is our 2nd Sienna - compared to our 2016 version this one does not have as much cargo space height, but we can still fit in so much. I think it is annoying that Toyota took away the built in navigation but luckily the phone pairing works well and the screen is large. The hybrid engine makes the gas mileage magical - especially for road trips. I also love sliding doors for kiddos - no dinging neigh cars in parking lots.

As a mom of three kids, with one in a booster and two in rear facing car seats, I knew it was time for the van life. LOVE the sliding doors and easy car seat set ups, even with the recessed anchors. Also love that the eighth passenger seat is removable and has its own storage compartment in the trunk. Not a fan of the height of the car, it feels very low to the ground compared to my old SUV. Also, the technology is a little bit fickle, specifically the trunk. Overall great family car for the season we’re in

The interior was pretty and the seating was comfortable. The center console in the front was a hassle for storage. The Apple car play was not reliable. Getting to the 3rd row to buckle kids was not easy.

The SofTex seats are easy to clean- which is extremely important in a minivan. The car has given me zero mechanical issues. The Apple car play is wired on the XSE trim, which isn’t so bad but it sometimes takes multiple tries to connect. That’s the I only flaw I’ve encountered. I live in Texas, and I’ve done two summers with rear facing children. I think the ceiling vents are fairly effective at cooling them down. I often start the car 10 minutes before we get in when it’s hot out. The remote start is on the Toyota app, and it costs $8 a month. You can do month-to-month, so I only pay for it in the summer. The remote start is annoying because it will stop the car/air conditioning whenever you unlock the car to load everyone in. That is dumb to me. The safety features are good, but borderline overbearing. The beeping when you’re close to an object is loud. My husband hates the lane assist, but you can turn it off easily. I kind of enjoy it. We have captains chairs and rear face both our kids. I love that the captains chairs can slide very far backward on the long tracks. I can change a diaper, set up a travel potty, or haul luggage with that flexibility. I have put my forward facing nephew in the third row passenger side with no issue. I love the hybrid so much!! I think I regularly get 27 mpg driving my regular routes and not thinking about saving gas. If I’m watching the eco monitor and trying to utilize more battery than gas, I can do better. If I’m on a road trip and utilizing cruise control, 30+ mpg easily. All in all, I’m very very happy with my Sienna! It is the best minivan in my opinion!

I truly love this minivan. I love how roomy and just a little bit sleeker The front row feels with eight cupholder options. The storage in the center console and between the driver/passenger is roomy. I love how easy it is for my kids to get in and out of by themselves and we are very often moving car seats around. Touchless Side doors and trunk are a game changer when holding kids + groceries! I will say we can fit six in the back, but with the car seats we have with four kids(2 in chicco boosters and 2 in chicco OneFits) the other two passengers have to be without car seats. If this is a dealbreaker, then you'll definitely need to get different car seat combos. I do wish the car seat tilt in the second row were better, the kids get in through the middle and then we have the middle seat out and stored in the trunk for when we need it. There are lots of charger options and ceiling vents and we just love this van. And the gas mileage on the hybrid is what would make it very hard for me to change from a van when the kids are older. I average 550 miles/tank.

We love this car for our family! It is so spacious and has awesome trunk space. The sliding doors are awesome for getting 3 little kids in and out of the car. It also has a ton of cup holders and ceiling vents in the back, which is amazing. We have the hybrid model, so the gas mileage is great. We didn’t think we were going to end up as a minivan family, but you really can’t beat the functionality!

I LOVE being a minivan mom! Truly I love the sliding doors so I don’t have to worry about my kids hitting any others cars in the parking lot. It’s super easy for them to get in and out on their own. Plus with the long slide for the second row, we have a ton of flexibility to keep them comfortable on long trips. We have never had an issue with trunk space (even when packing for road trips or carting around chairs and goals for soccer practice and games). We have captain’s chairs and have never had any issues with any car seats we have wanted to use. Occasionally, when trying to install car seats or boosters in the third row for driving around friends, access has been a little more challenging, but the third row has always been comfortable for our teenager or any adults to sit in. I also LOVE having a hybrid. I only need to fill up once a week even when driving all over the metroplex and it’s still reasonable cost to fill up my tank. I’m not one that usually cares about all the bells and whistles, so the screen and technology in the front has always been fine for me. My only complaint is that the entertainment system is hard to use. We struggle to be able to hook up a movie for them to watch on road trips sometimes.

I was torn between this car or the Odyssey, because the magic slide was so compelling with two young kids in one on the way. We ended up going with the sienna for hybrid reasons and are so happy. The mileage we get is incredible and we easily were able to fit 3 across because of the bench seat in the XLE. We had one infant seat, one high back booster, and one forward facing. I was hesitant to the band life, but it has been incredible for three kids, ages 5 and under. I had an explorer before and didn’t realize all the space in a van could be so life-changing!

With four kids ages 1 to 7 we love a minivan and we love the gas mileage with a hybrid and the overall set up for car seat seats Options and trunk Space is great. A major con is how poorly done some of the interior was. I think because this was post Covid when they were trying to rush so many cars getting manufactured that simple components like tether anchor covers and plastic pieces that cover wires and such seem to be cheaply made, which is very frustrating for how expensive this vehicle is. We’ve had several plastic pieces pop off and don’t fit well back on. We also had some of the interior bubble because it was done with cheap material but is way too expensive to be worth replacing. And one of our biggest complaints is that with the eight passenger model there is no space to put in a spare tire.

We love our Sienna! Pros - gas mileage (up to 34 mpg), AWD, lots of room for our family (I’m 5’10” & my husband is 6’2”), and has been very reliable overall. Cons - weird “safety” upgrades. Ex: you can’t lock the car with the key fob if the car is on, remote start is hard to finagle, if you open the drivers door before the back doors then it will ding at you.

Our Sienna has been great for our family of 5! The hybrid model is great for gas mileage and we rarely need to fill up. We’ve taken it on multiple road trips and it has been great. Plenty of storage in the trunk for a Costco haul or our double Bob stroller. The storage in between the driver and passenger seats is great and has plenty of cup holders in the front and in the back of the van. The downsides would be lack of flexibility in seat positioning. The captains seats can only slide forward and backward. The seats do fold and slide pretty far to allow back row access, but not if a car seat is installed. We also have had issues with wired Apple CarPlay connecting. We have to reset the system each time to have it connect and it can be very tedious. Otherwise we have loved everything about this van and are planning to use it for years to come!

Obsessed 10/10 would recommend. 2 kids and it fits our family perfectly. We frequently drive friends around and there's plenty of space for everyone. It drives so nicely, lots of cupholders, ceiling vents, plenty of charging ports, and a 120V outlet. I love the center console, plenty of thoughtful space to hold all the things. 35 MPG with the hybrid engine. No other mini van comes close to that, especially the Odyssey. The breaking system technology is also unmatched. Engine reliability and longevity was a top consideration when picking out a new car for the me and in all my research Toyota came out on top every time. I expect to drive this car a minimum of 10 years.

I was driving a Honda CRV and I could not handle my kids being able to touch each other anymore. I also found my self asking to borrow other friends cars to do simple things like go to Ikea and now I have so much space for family and friends and the odd finds on the side of the road. Plus the gas mileage is amazing.

I love this car, it was the only option with AWD that wasn’t a suburban etc. I absolutely required AWD and a significant amount of cargo space with three kids seated comfortably, I have the second row bench seat so this meets that need perfectly. I have carried 7 kids at once in this van. They were all 9-11 at the time and the tallest sat in the passenger seat. I regularly transport other kids to sports in addition to my 3 kids. The versatility is unmatched in this vehicle. I have driven in 8 inches of freshly fallen snow and been fine. Nothing helps on ice! I am referring to snow only. I travel in winter conditions on a regular basis. This van gets me 31-32 mpg consistently, it’s rated 36 mpg. I never get the rated mpg. Draw your own conclusions on that. This was very much a utilitarian decision for us and it has exceeded our expectations. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It’s not a luxury vehicle in the 8 seater configuration, but I’m not driving in luxurious conditions so I don’t care. I can’t imagine anyone in a minivan is luxuriating.

I absolutely love my Toyota Sienna! I’ve owned several minivans over the years, and this is easily my favorite. It feels incredibly luxurious and drives more like a luxury car than a minivan. The hybrid gas mileage is unbelievable, the functionality is so well thought out, and it’s incredibly easy and comfortable to drive. Truly the best minivan I’ve owned!

The honest perfect car for families with littles in car seats. Love all the vents so each kiddo has their own cooling system. It’s so comfortable, from someone who used to say she’d never own a minivan I love my van when I have the kids.

We moved from a 2016 Highlander to a 2026 Sienna and my big kid (who sits in the 3rd row) no longer complains about being cramped! Storage is great. We have the 8 seater; the middle seat of the second row stores in the side of the trunk so it’s easily accessible out of the way and you don’t really lose trunk space. The hybrid aspect also makes for great gas mileage. We’re all around big fans!

Never say never ! I was fully against a minivan until I had kids ha. Especially being a short girly, it was always a pain loading my kids into an SUV. I ultimately went with Sienna because it’s the only one that offers AWD and hybrid option. I drive A LOT and the hybrid was really important to me. I got the platinum trim (previously owned an XSE) and she rides like a Cadillac! The only feature I wish it had was the cabin camera / talk, otherwise it has all the features you would want: Heads up display, 360 camera, heated steering wheel, heat/vent front seats, heated 2nd row seats, ceiling vents* (huge win for me in the south!), sun shades in 2nd and 3rd row seats. I could not be happier with this van. The price point is ridiculous IMO but I plan to keep her for well over 100k miles knowing Toyota reliability was another key factor in my decision.

I LOVE my sienna!! Very smooth drive & steering. My kids love the "magic" doors, and have told me that any future cars we get must have these. I also love the power sliding doors as it makes it so much easier for my kids to get in and out of the car on their own. I have a forward facing seat and a highback booster in the second row for my youngest and middle child, and highback booster in third row for my oldest. We've only driven with a max of 6 passengers so far as the booster in 3rd row makes the middle seat a tighter squeeze. But when we've had a 3rd adult they've had plenty of leg room in when sitting in thf 3rd row (even able to slide forward one of the captain's chairs to give them more space). Just a little more challenging to get back there with the carseat & booster in 2nd row- so we typically move the booster from the 2nd row to the 3rd for easier in/out for all rear passengers. Lots of trunk space for all of our luggage when we took family trips! A double stroller which we rented while on one trip was easily able to put in and take out, and there was space for day bags. If we had all our of luggage at the same time we probably would need to put one or two smaller suitcases or bags in the aisle. There are soooo many cup holders! Only 2 of them in the center console are on the smaller size so tumblers don't really fit- but a plastic water bottle fits and it's where I keep a travel cup-holder garbage container. The sound system is great quality and display screen for navigation/apps is bright and clear. There have been a few occasions though where my android connect doesn't automatically sync, but a quick restart of the power button and it works again! I will admit, I said I was neverrrr going to get a minivan. But, after test driving I was sold. And now, I dont think I'll ever go back. I chose the Sienna compared to other minivans because it offered AWD, standard hybrid on all trim levels, great gas mileage, and Toyota is a brand I trust for reliability!

We got the bench seat and with two rear facing car seats in the second row, you can’t access the third row. It’s easy to climb in the back through the trunk, but we usually move a car seat to the third row when grandparents are in town. We would like to have another baby and I don’t think three car seats will fit across the second row, so that will be a challenge when I have three car seats. Hopefully the oldest will be forward facing by then!

This is such a great car for the busy family of littles. We have 3 car seats and 3 kids that need a lot of assistance buckling/unbuckling. My husband and I are both tall people and having the ability to comfortably fit into the car to help the kids get in and out is a game changer (I drove a Chevy Tahoe with captain seats prior to this). The cupholder game is unmatched, but I do wish some were a bit bigger to accommodate a kids yeti thermos. Lots of AC vents to keep the kids comfortable in the 2nd and 3rd row. I have the option with the fridge and vacuum which is nice at times but it does take up a lot of space. I don’t use them as much as I thought I would so if I were to re-buy today, I’d go for the extra space over these luxury features. Sometimes I feel like the CarPlay is buggy but I’m not sure if that’s a vehicle or phone/software issue 🤷🏼‍♀️. The car drives incredibly, we live in Ca Central Valley and go skiing frequently. The AWD handles great in the rain/snow/ice, and there is plenty of room for equipment in the trunk and above on the racks. Gas mileage is unmatched…thank goodness in this economy. I know all minivan drivers say it’s the best car, and it seriously is. My life is busy enough, this car takes a lot of friction out of my day. Petition starting to make all SUV’s have a sliding door option!

I have never loved a car more. It’s such a fun car to drive and it makes my life so much easier as a working mom of two kids with friends who frequently ride with us. I’ll never go back to an SUV until my kids are grown. The Toyota technology isn’t the fanciest by any means but that doesn’t bother me. It has 18 cup holders!! The only downside I can think of is that when I had a rear facing baby in the second row, the doors on the Sienna don’t quite open as wide as I’d like them to. But as soon as we moved to forward facing that was no longer an issue. So something to keep in mind if you have babies.

I’m not a bells and whistles girl so I went with the lowest trim bc I needed the 8th seat. Call me crazy but I LOVE the 8th seat in the 2021+ Sienna. It’s actually usable/functional(whereas it was not in 2011-2020 Siennas). I’ve had 3 across at different ages and stages since we got the car 4+ years ago. The Sienna has been perfect for us.

We bought our 2011 Toyota Sienna preowned during Covid in 2021. We were in desperate need of a vehicle and that's when the car shortage was happening. I'm so incredibly happy we found our car because it has been nothing short of reliable and just what we needed as a family of 4! It's still running great after 5 years and we bought it will pretty high mileage! It had around 120,000 and we put on almost 45,000 since owning it. We have captain chairs and the stow and go back seat is honestly game changer for us. We frequently carpool other kiddos to and from school or activities, but also go on road trips during the summer, so the ability to pop up that back seat or put it back down for more space is awesome. It has a backup camera and heated seats, but that's about all the technology. The synching with our phones isn't great, but you can plug your phone in with a usb cable and that works fine for us. Nothing fancy, but I'd take reliability over fancy any day and that's what the 2011 Toyota Sienna has been for us! Yes, I'm a total fan of the older versions of the Sienna for sure!!

I was hesitant about getting a van, but our Woodland Edition Sienna has been wonderful! I love the cement color with black leather interior and easy-to-clean floor mats. One issue we’ve had since the beginning is with the technology; I get calls and texts about movement in the van when there is no movement, and it happens often. I also get calls and texts about movement in the van when I’m in the van driving. This doesn’t happen as often, but is still an issue. One other issue I’ve experienced with our Sienna is the passenger sliding doors not closing when the button is pressed. I’ve figured out a work-around to solve it (turn off the power doors and turn it back on), but it’s still not fun when the doors don’t close when the button gets pressed! Overall, my family and I have been very impressed with the Sienna! We love how spacious it is for a family of four and a big dog, how quiet the road noise is, we enjoy having so many cup holders (pretty sure there’s 17 or something?!), and love having Apple Car Play!

Pros: Ceiling vents, Hybrid, tons of space esp in the 2nd row and trunk, smooth ride, SLIDING DOORS!! Cons: 4 cupholders in the center console, but one of them is too close to the air control buttons so you cant really put anything there. 2 of the 4 fit a Stanley and the other 2 are standard size (i.e. too small) so while it seems like there are a lot of cupholders, I only use 1 of them. Not a deal breaker, but I feel the inconvenience daily. Also I don't love the air control set up. It's too many buttons to adjust what you want quickly while driving. I don't love the center console either, it's bulky and takes a lot of space and not super functional in my opinion.

I’ve had my Toyota Sienna for a while now and it’s been a really good fit for our family. It drives well, gas mileage is amazing, and the extra room is incredible for longer trips! My biggest complaint is probably the entertainment system. For what you pay for, I feel like it could be a lot more user friendly. The kids enjoy being able to watch movies or shows, but I wouldn’t say it’s a necessity. I also wish the screen didn’t come down so far from the ceiling and block the rearview mirror view(?). Having to buy an Amazon Fire Stick just so the kids can easily access our streaming services in the car is also a little annoying. The built-in sunshades are great, and I like having vents in the ceiling and separate temperature controls for the front and back. The space is great, we can bring everything we need without feeling like we’re on top of each other. I do wish the third-row cup holders were bigger. Also, why doesn’t the removable middle seat have cup holders on the back!?! There can never be too many cup holders! We did run into a manufacturing issue with the liftgate that was actually a huge headache and back & forth for over a year but it’s fixed now! For reference, the hatch was too heavy for the original bolts so they needed to be replaced. Apparently, it’s a more common issue as of late. I truly love my Sienna and it does what we need it to do. We’ve had it since Feb 2025 and already put 34k miles on it - so we’ve definitely put it to work! There are a few features I’d change, but you can’t beat the gas mileage, how much space you have and how family friendly it is!

I have the 2022 Sienna LE AWD model. It does not have an automatic tailgate open/close, you have to go old school and do it the old fashion way OR spend pay more to get the “lift” package installed. The vents in the back doesn’t seem to circulate a lot of air well and it’s also very noisy in the rear when the ac is turned all the way up. The second row seats slide all the way back and forth and fold up pretty tightly but I don’t like that we can’t take the seats out or make them more compact. It also takes TWO different maneuvers to fold it up which can be confusing. I love Toyotas but I’ve found that there are better options in other brands. I’ve bought the lowest trim but for what I paid I still feel like there should be more that come standard. I do appreciate the hybrid gas mileage. That has been a huge factor in my decision to get the van. But again, there may be better options out there. I’m a pretty basic girl and don’t require all the bells and whistles, so what I have works for me but if you are wanting more out of your vehicle, I’d suggest a higher trim or another option.

We have the 2025 sienna platinum, as a sports mom with two kids, it has all the comfort and room and convenience. The kids can get in and out of the car and you don’t have to stress about them swinging the car door into another car. The built in vacuum and fridge to all the cup holders and rubber floor mats. We love our van.

We had to go with the lowest trim model to get the 8 seats and AWD so some of the things in the car are a bit of a disappointment. I can not believe that it doesn’t have the ability to unlock from a button on the door. Our 10 year old Hyundai in a low trim model has that ability. Honestly the thing that frustrate me the most about it. I’m also not sure why they only offerlight grey seats in the lowest trip model. Such a dumb color for people with kids. Overall driving it is very nice, spacious, and mpgs are great! Definitely drives very nice!!!

I absolutely love that the Sienna is basically a living room on wheels. It’s incredibly spacious and can haul a TON of stuff, while still being really comfortable for everyone. The second and third rows are especially roomy, with long-sliding seats and ceiling vents, which make a big difference for passengers. The hybrid is amazing. In town, I can get around 44 mpg on a good day, which is pretty impressive for a vehicle this size. I have the Platinum trim, and my biggest complaint is that it’s surprisingly loud. Even with the acoustic glass, there’s quite a bit of road noise. My Subaru Legacy was noticeably quieter, so I was a little disappointed there. The technology is fine—it has all the basics you need—but it definitely feels like it’s falling behind some of the newer competition. The Kia Carnival, for example, has a lot more of those flashy, modern tech features. Overall, though, the space, comfort, and hybrid fuel economy are hard to beat. It really is a living room on wheels, and that’s probably my favorite thing about it.

I love everything about this car. I had been dreading buying a car because everything is so expensive right now, but the air went out in my 2017 Ford Focus, and I decided it was time. I am so happy I made this choice. It is a much better fit for my family. We have so much more room, and all of the features are so nice. I’m also super excited that it’s hybrid because I have to fill up way less frequently than I did with my gas car. Highly recommend!

I was going back and forth for so long deciding between the Sienna and the Grand Highlander. It was hard to test drive both back to back, but when I was finally able to the Sienna became the clear winner. I installed my carseats in the Grand Highlander at the dealership and found that the Evenflo 360 extend in rear facing still felt really tight, and my husband is only 5'10. I love that that the Sienna has so much room and the room is really customizable. I have two kids (4 and almost 1) as well as two golden retrievers who go almost everywhere with us. We live in a mountain town so we ski often in the winter and hike in the summer. I love that the Sienna will fit so much of our gear without having to use a roof top carrier. I also love the gas mileage! I knew I wanted an AWD Hybrid in red with a 3rd row so my options were limited, but am so glad I got over my anti-minivan sentiments and test drove it. It drives incredibly well and is very nimble considering it's size. I know minivans aren't the "coolest", but once you're sitting inside of it living your best life you'll quickly forget why you were fighting it so hard in the first place.

We purchased our Toyota Sienna because of the reliability and longevity of the Toyota brand, it’s an hybrid, and because there aren’t a lot of great options for 8 seat vehicles under $50,000. We drive a lot and put a ton of miles on a car so we were looking for a workhorse with a decent amount of cabin space. In our research, this minivan had the most third row leg room. We have 5 boys (whose dad is 6”4’) so space trumped actual design, style, and comfort. We like our van for the reasons listed above, but it won’t give you a luxury ride or an amazing performance while driving. Overall I’m pleased with our purchase and don’t regret it, but once one or two little birdies leave the nest, momma’s getting something powerful and pretty. LOL

Best decision we could have made for our family car. Comfortable, practical and technology inside the car seamlessly works. The amount of space in the trunk and the car provides overall is unmatched. Some considerations: the cooler add-on in the center console does impede into the second row legroom which makes third row access a bit of a hurdle for an adult if the second row seat isn’t all the way rear. As an former suv driver we often used the trunk for quick diaper changes, it’s a bit of an adjustment trying to figure out how to quickly do a diaper change as the trunk is sunk in like a standard minivan so you have to put the third row down to create space which causes a bit of a maneuver with two hands if your trunk isn’t already empty. If your carseat has a stability leg (eg pipa rd relx base) it prevents you from easily sliding the second row seat back to create a diaper change space in the second row.

This is the second Toyota Sienna I lease. It was a no-brainer choice when it was time to turn in my first Sienna. This car dives so incredibly comfortably. It’s smooth, incredibly zippy considering it’s a bigger vehicle. The hybrid drive is so flawless. You can barely tell when the engine turns on vs running on EV mode. The miles per gallon are great. I get 500+ miles from a single tank of gas. The interior is comfortable in all spots and the flexibility of the trunk and knocking down the seats in the back are great too.

I am absolutely loving this van’s gas mileage. I specifically wanted a hybrid AWD 8 passenger van. It drives smoothly, is easy to park, and has great safety features like lane assist and warnings to avoid crashes. The van also tells me which seat belts are buckled so I can easily see if someone accidentally unbuckled a car seat. The removable middle seat in the second row is convenient, especially since I can store it in the trunk. Need to add an extra kid after a baseball game? No problem, the seat is right there. The one thing I dislike is the fact that the 8 passengers do not come in higher trim levels. I would have liked some of the additional tech and features the higher trims have, but I had to buy the lowest trim if I wanted 8 cloth seats. I currently have a rf clek fllo, a ff diono radian, and a backless diono 3r installed in the van. The diono radian is awkward when attempted to install in the third row, but otherwise, the seats fit well. I can easily do 3 across in the middle row to give myself extra trunk space in the back.

The car drives great!! I don't miss the gas pump... I rarely have to fill it up. And it feels extra safe in winter weather with AWD. We have the lowest trim (LE) and I wish we had a higher trim because it's very basic. Specifically I wish it had keyless entry and a tailgate lift for the mom life. We did swap out the seats for leather heated seats. There is plenty of room for my husband (6'2") to drive with a rear facing carseat behind him, which is why we ended up with a minivan in the first place. The preschool pickup line has never been easier with the sliding button activated doors! 10/10 recommend this vehicle.

Last summer we found out we were expecting twins, and with my husband being a bigger guy we knew we wouldn’t be able to fit 2 infant seats in our Mazda cx-50 due to the lack of second row room when he was in the car. We looked at several mid size SUVs and minivans and decided on a minivan for the amount of trunk space it provided with the third row up. I swore I would never be a minivan mom but I LOVE LOVE LOVE our Sienna. It handles so well on the winter roads (main reason we chose Sienna was for the AWD). It also gets terrific gas mileage with it being hybrid. The only downfall was that we couldn’t get a bench seat unless we chose the lowest trim level, but the captains chairs can slide wayyyyy far back which makes it easy for me to get in and out if I need to sit in the back with our girls. 10/10 would recommend the Sienna to everyone with more than one kid!

I LOVE my Sienna! It’s so incredibly functional, and honestly, I don’t see myself ever going back from the minivan life until my kids are grown and out of the house. Truly. 😂 The fact that my toddlers can open their own doors without hitting the cars next to us and easily climb into their car seats is LIFE-CHANGING. Road trips and packing are a breeze because there’s just so much space. And the cup holders?! I could go on and on. But seriously, I love this car so much. The minivan life has completely won me (& my husband) over! ❤️

I do not understand the mini van stigma. I owned a 2026 town and country before this vehicle and I can honestly say I will never own anything else. My husband is 6’8” and can comfortably sit in the second row seats because of the way they slide. The sliding doors are able to be opened in many different ways which is super functional and my kids find it delightful. The gas mileage is unbeatable, especially for a 7 passenger vehicle. I mostly do city driving and my average is 29.7 but I like to play a game with myself to get it lower. A few negatives to note: we have the Woodland edition (supposed to be outdoorsy) and there is still no spare tire; the the cup holders are plentiful but small, and the sensors ding for far too long after my kids get out at drop off. Otherwise, we love her.

We have had no issues with the van for the 5.5 years we've owned it. We purchased it new. Our average MPG over the life of the vehicle is 33. (It decreases about 1 MPG each year or so.)

I never thought I would drive a minivan, but after having our second child, it became the most obvious selection! The 2026 Toyota sienna has been absolutely perfect for our family. The interior is spacious and every row is comfortable. I love having air conditioning vents all the way back in the third row. We tend to keep the third row laid down for extra cargo storage and for our two dogs which leaves us PLENTY of room. The hybrid feature has saved us a good amount of money on gas. The sliding doors have been incredibly convenient and we don’t have to worry about our toddler hitting the car next to us. Also, when your hands are full, there is a feature to kick under the van to automatically open the sliding doors. I could go on and on! This van was tailor made for a busy mother.

Rented a 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid for a 1,000 mile round trip journey with both kids, a 65-lb dog and suitcases. Reason for terrible third row rating is the seat got hot bc of the car hybrid battery! I was sitting in the third row to help facilitate kid care to minimize stops and the side of the car in the back right and my seat became hot to the touch. This was a new ~10,000mi rental. The get up and go was terrible. Heavy car. Not a lot of vroom vroom. However, good mileage to the tank. Car seats in the captains chairs were easy to install. Plenty of room for the dog. Appreciated the ability to shift the captains chairs in second row forward and backward.

I just got my 2026 Toyota sienna this year and so far it has been amazing! It is a hybrid so the gas mileage can’t be beat. My kids are loving the sliding doors and the rear entertainment system for long drives has been such a lifesaver. the space to get into and out of the 3rd row is wonderful! Overall it has been so great for our family of 5.

The Sienna is the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. I’ve just crossed over 100,000 miles and have never had one problem with it. It’s the best road trip car you could ever ask for. The hybrid feature means you can drive forever without filling up it seems. My kids are getting older and it’s probably close to time for me to move on, but I will miss all the years of sliding doors, loads of sports equipment in the back, and incredible amounts of crumbs on the floor. So thankful for my Sienna era! 💕

I love my sienna. So much space. The elevated sides on the middle counsel are so nice to not letting stuff slide or roll off like phones, pacifiers, etc! It drives so smoothly, and is perfect for littles. My only complaint, is the screen doesn’t split to show the map AND music or radio.

This car is so functional. I never have to worry if all our stuff for camping or another kid or three with fit. It's convenient in small parking spaces, its hybrid and gets good has mileage. Its AWD which I require for going on winter adventures. I am annoyed at the aerodynamics and the sound the air makes at freeway speeds. I very much dislike the breaking when it switches from the hybrid system to the mechanical system around 6MPH and it feels like it skips and fails for a second. Its both scary and jarring and happens to me all the time. For this reason alone I'm considering another car but for all the reasons above I'm not sure that I will switch.

The Toyota Sienna comes in 2 versions, offering a second row bench or captain’s chairs. The 8 seater offers a removeable middle seat. While 3 across is possible with car seats, the middle seat is super narrow limiting the seats that can be used there safely. Not only that, but the 8 seater loses the “super long slide” feature. On the 7 seater, the captain’s chairs have super long slide, meaning they move back and forth quite far. The seatbelts for these seats are on the seat itself, meaning you can move the seats with a carseat installed using the seatbelt! This is great because lower anchors bave a weight limit. The 8 seater has the seatbelts on the side pillars, meaning you can only move the seats when using a lower anchors install and the seats don’t move as far front and back. The third row has non-removeable headrests which can pose a challenge for some forward facing carseats and the outboard seats have an angled edge which may limit which booster seats work there due to overhang. The front has SO much storage but the cupholders are all a little too small for a large water bottle. The middle console opens in such a way that things can fall down to the side where they will be lost forever. The vehicle typically does not come with a spare tire but one can be added later. The ottomans are a mostly useless feature as they cannot safely be used while the vehicle is in motion. I find the car sporty and I enjoy how is drives, you do need to take the car out of Eco Mode for it to have more power.

We bought this car after having my third. Favorite things: trunk space, easy to fit my three kids PLUS a friend or two, sliding doors, and GREAT gas mileage (35-40mpg). Least favorite: does feel "big" when driving, horrible acoustics (I can't hear my kids in the back seat), had to sacrifice on some of the bells/whistles/tech to keep within our price point (<$60). Planning to keep this car for the duration of my kids' childhood.

We love the gas mileage on this car. We've gone hybrid and can't go back so we specifically found a hybrid when we were minivan shopping. The inside I think is flexible but gas matters more to me. We can have Android Auto but don't have all the technology which I prefer. The safety features in this car I find very annoying. You can't get anywhere near a bush without the car breaking and it's just sometimes necessary when parking. That's my biggest ick about this car but otherwise, she's functional. We'll keep her

I drive a Toyota Sienna LE (base model) with five kids, ages 7 and under, and it has been a great fit for our family. You really can’t beat the reliability of a Toyota, and this van has been incredibly practical for us. My one major regret is that we didn’t purchase a model that allows for a roof rack. We take several big road trips each year (often 18+ hours), and I would have loved the extra space for skis and luggage. That said, the trunk has a LOT of room for the average family. In fact, I have driven home with three ice chests full of frozen beef in the trunk, along with a carload of kids and all of our luggage! The van rides very smoothly, and I really love the more “SUV-like” styling of the exterior. I also love that we consistently get at least 32 MPG, which is especially nice living in California. The removable second-row seat was an important feature for our family because we cannot fit three car seats/boosters across the third row. With our current setup, I have two children in forward-facing car seats in the third row and my other three (an infant in a rear-facing car seat, another child in a rear-facing car seat, and a booster) in the second row. One thing to note about the lowest trim model is that the seat belt is not attached to the second-row seat, and the seat does not slide forward as far as it does in some of the higher trims. Because of this, my oldest child folds down the middle seat so that her younger siblings can get in and out of the back. This might sound like a hassle, but it has actually worked really well for our family. Once everyone gets the hang of it, it’s quick and easy, and it allows us to make the seating arrangement work with five young kids. Overall, we have been very happy with our pre-owned Sienna. For a large family, it offers a great combination of reliability, fuel efficiency, cargo space, and flexibility, and I would definitely recommend it for a family with young children.

With multiple young children, the sliding doors make my life so easy when loading and unloading. The captain seats are also easy to move forward and back depending on which carseat is in them and who is sitting behind them. The middle seat in the back is tight once two car seats are installed, but it’s an option for someone not sitting in a car seat. I love the deep trunk for wagon and stroller storage. It is a smooth ride and I have no plans to search for anything else for the foreseeable future!

This van makes me loyal to Toyota forever. We have not had a single issue with the van and have put 150,000 miles on it so far. The technology is as good as any 2017 car. It does well in all weather. Car seats fit well and the trunk space is more than we need on a regular basis. The interior feels more roomy than most SUVs.

Great flexibility with the 2nd row bench seat! Comfortably fit an Uppababy Mesa in second row behind driver, Chicco MyFit in both 2nd and 3rd row, and Chicco KidFit booster seats in both rows. Bench middle is not deep, but able to be worked with. Third seat in back in very narrow. Technology in back with the screen is lackluster having to connect to HDMI, very finicky with devices!

If you’re looking for a standard family car- this is it. Nice enough that I enjoy driving it but not too nice that I’m worried the kids will ruin it. The drive is very smooth! The only thing I don’t love on our model is there is no back up beep unless there is something to the side but it does not alert directly behind.

We bought our Sienna Limited in June and mostly love it. The interior feels sleek and upscale for a minivan. The Limited trim really elevates the cabin, and overall it feels like good value for what you get. The second-row seats slide on tracks, which makes getting kids (or anyone) in and out so much easier. The third row folds completely flat, and even with it up, there's still a ton of cargo room in the back. As a hybrid, it gets excellent gas mileage (actually better than I expected going in) and rides quietly, which is a huge win for daily driving and road trips. The safety tech has also been a pleasant surprise: lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and parking sensors all work great and give real peace of mind, especially with kids in the car. My one big complaint: the entertainment package. If your kids aren't old enough to navigate WiFi and streaming on their own, save your money. It's clunky, takes way too many steps to get devices connected, and since everything streams over WiFi, the connection can be spotty. I wish I'd researched this add-on more before installing it.

When we were expecting our third (who is now 4 years old) I knew I wanted a Toyota Sienna because I loved the hybrid feature and AWD. I also knew I wanted the rear entertainment system because we planned on going on many road trips and don’t plan to get each kid their own device. We’ve taken road trips from Chicago to Florida and Alabama and the Sienna is perfect for us. Having the easy sliding doors that all kids have been able to do themselves since they were able to reach the button has been great and I don’t worry about them swinging open a door into a car next to us. I would highly recommend!

No regrets at all! We bought our 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE brand new, and it’s up to 235,000 well-loved miles now with no plans to change anytime soon. Kids are 14, 12, and 8 now, and this van has supported us through every phase—from all the car seats to sports gear, carpooling, and tons of beach trips. The sliding doors were the absolute best with littles, trunk space is huge, and having the option for 7 or 8 passengers has been super handy. Heated seats, Bluetooth, and the ceiling vents are huge pluses. It has a sunroof too, which wasn't a dealbreaker for us and we don't use it as much as I thought, but it's still nice on those cold, sunny days. We get it serviced regularly and haven’t had any big issues at all!

The Sienna is everything for a growing family. Reliability. Style. Some of our favorite features are the perforated leather seats w/ heat and cool, a TV that all four kids can see in the back on road trips, and the 360° camera backup. I haven’t even mentioned that I fill up maybe ONCE A MONTH. Hybrid, baby!

I was in the market for a minivan when we went from 2 -> 3 kids. My husband is 6’5” and his height is mostly in his torso from hips to head. Although he doesn’t regularly ride in the car, we knew we wanted to use this minivan for family vacations and bopping around town as a family, and so it needed to also be comfortable for him. We test drove the Odyssey and the Carnival and the Sienna, and the Sienna is the only passenger seat that he fit comfortably in. Despite the other cars having adjustable drivers seats, the passenger seat was fixed and would not move downward, and the moon roof on top (which was standard in the base models of the Odyssey and the Carnival) cut into the headspace and he didn’t fit. He fit wonderfully in the Sienna so that’s what we went with! I think it’s a niche situation, but if you’re in that situation and it’s important to you, the Sienna is where it’s at for passenger space.
