TLDR; stylish car with premium finishes...but not tuned for families Choosing the right trim package goes a long way for this model- I got the lowest trim without AWD and I deeply regret it since we live in New England and have to deal with inclement weather. The exterior styling is excellent, the interior finishes are premium...but using this as our "big car" exposes it's flaws. The back seat is not as roomy as we expected- partner can't drive my car with the rear facing seat behind the drivers seat, middle seat is a joke (has a seatbelt...can't fit a person ), and overall clearance to get into the back is really tight for an average size adult. Some of the plastic finishes in the back seat are easily scratched which is frustrating for a car this expensive. Rear headrests are also not removable. I do think the trunk space is good, there is extra storage under the floor, and a nice built in elastic strap that looks weird but is SO SO useful. I think higher trim packages have more convenience features...but the rear seat is so small it might as well be a sedan. Despite not being AWD the lowest trim level does have a turbo which also kills the mileage. If you like the look of this car but actually need to use the back seat I'd recommend getting the new CR-V hybrid with a higher trim level for a similar price point.
